The women at the front desk are great and were always professional and kind with me. We struggled with my daughter s counselor however. She was pretty consistently 10-15 minutes late coming to get my daughter for her appointment, she tried to say we missed too many appointments and move my daughter to once a month, and then had cancelled a couple appointments last minute without anyone telling us so we still showed up to the office. We then just came in for an appointment to find out that she just cancelled the rest of my daughter appointments without telling us or giving any reason why. My daughter was super confused as to why she wouldn t be seeing her counselor and now we have to go looking for another counselor. Super frustrated with how everything went down.

Couldn't even get an appointment. Was referred by my primary care provider for psychiatry and was contacted about filling out the new patient intake form. The form was a COMPLETE mess and highly inneficient but got it completed. I was then contacted to schedule an appointment by someone who sounded like they absolutely hated their job. They clearly didn't even look at my intake form and asked if I was looking for med management. When I corrected her she sounded very irritated and told me there was only one provider after a very long pause and refused to work with my schedule. Not worth the stress.

They charge an ungodly amount of money for "counseling" sessions which are more like the kind of conversations you can have with strangers in a grocery store.

Accepted Insurance

Pearl Health Clinic – Ammon works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Waited months for a call to schedule an initial appointment. The only time I heard from them was after I left a message asking for an update and they were borderline rude when they told me they were still looking for an opening. Finally gave up and told them to forget it. I ll find another way.

Worst place in Idaho Falls/Ammon to get any mental health assistance. They will cut you off your meds, not return calls, and flat out ignore you. Not to mention that will switch psychiatrists on you without notice. I have been through 4 doctors in 3 years. I highly recommend you take yourself and/or your loved ones someplace else.

**update, this place is just like the other offices. After waiting one day for over an hour, we were told that my child's provider was actually on vacation. It was repeativite stuff like this and I just gave up. Forget about consistency.I was previously dealing with another provider for my 6 year old. They were so inconsistent and their office staff was unreliable at best. Dr Steorts at IF Peds gave these guys a raving review, so I figured I would give them a try. They have been absolutely amazing. There were a couple bumps in the start with scheduling but they are super busy, and Lydia in the office was amazing at getting everything resolved for us.We met with Colin Waters for the first time today and my kid really liked him. His playroom was clean and organized, and brightly lit. She was so comfortable and let really excited to come back.As far as scheduling goes, most offices in Idaho Falls are heavily booked for kids- and that's a good thing. More and more kids are getting the help they need. This office is huge and they are trying their best to take care of as many patients as possible. I see some growing pains but I think everything will be sorted out.Clean office, clean "unplugged" waiting room, kind staff, organized office, and clean restrooms. 5 stars.

If I could give the practice of this place 0 stars, I would. They are not upfront about what appointments cost and then they refuse to actually work with individuals who qualify for their sliding scale. Disgusting treatment of those who already deal with mental health issues by making impossible to afford treatmentEdit in response to owner:I contacted your billing department this afternoon and she told me there is nothing she is willing to do for me and gave me excuse after excuse as to why, even though I know it is in your power as a business to do so. She was rude had me in tears.

I attempted to make an appointment with 2 different professionals today. The first one I inquired about no longer works here which is okay, so I called back and tried to reach someone else. Upon doing so I came into contact with another receptionist. She was completely unprofessional and rude to me on the phone. It was a short conversation and after experiencing that, she rudely asked which option I wanted to go with.. I said I will go with neither due to the poor customer service and I will be going elsewhere. If anything, this is the LAST place people should be treated poorly, when they might be trying to better their life.

Trying to get a hold of anyone after hours is a nightmare. Bree called twice, it happened to be a day post op after shoulder surgery and the number she left was a google number to Woof Park Repair. I can t get a hold of anyone. This is unacceptable for a place that is supposed to provide mental health services.
