This is a horrible service. My husband needs help and they won't listen to him. The doctor he sees never looks him in the face. She was in the verge of crying herself. If she was having issues or a bad day she shouldn't be seeing patients. She acted like she never seen my husband during his 2nd appointment. Asking the same questions acting like she didn't know what was going on. If she actually took notes on his first appointment, he wouldn't have had to waste his time repeating everything that was said during his first appointment. He isn't being help. This place is a joke. Listen to your patients!

This is horrible mental health service in every way. My wife saw them for over a year and had a hard time changing meds and being listened to. Then when she missed a few appointments they fired her. This is completely unethical and negligent. Anybody that knows psychiatric medication knows you should not abruptly stop meds. They left her with no help finding a provider and almost caused her to abruptly stop all her medications (thank god for her primary care being willing to continue her meds when they refused to help at all with transfer to another provider). Obviously they don t understand that mental health patients with severe anxiety and depression sometimes struggle with making appointments. These kind of practices can cause a tragedy in the future and are completely unprofessional and immoral.

Accepted Insurance

Parkview Medical Center – Adolescent works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Professional services are often necessary to recover from addiction. Drug rehab in Colorado provides the expert services needed to address the complex issues of addiction and help individuals start their recovery journey.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I don't know about the med providers yet but I think dr ashby is a brilliant human being I am grateful to come here like I was when I went to dr goos. Even my civilian primary care doctor thinks the world of dr ashby and her work with me and her testing. I recommend any other veterans ditch the pueblo va and come here where theres people working not people at work. Making a difference in my outlook.

Provider, Diana Smith, dropped the ball on calling in a prescription for my kid and told her to stop taking the meds that she had been on. When I requested to see a new provider, they refused, told me to find a new provider for my child and to see Diana until we find a new provider at a different office. It is difficult to find providers for kids. So basically, my child was fired as a patient for wanting a new provider because Diana Smith did not do what she should have done for a mental health patient.

Other people discuss poor quality of care here. I can't even get to see someone to receive poor care. My doctor sent a referral multiple times. I called the office and confirmed they had room for me. I was told someone from intake would call me shortly. After weeks without a call and being referred to someone for talk therapy I called back today and was told that once again there wasn't room for me and they had rejected the referral. I'm approaching a year unmedicated and they just let me dangle for an extended period again.

We had a great experience, considering the circumstances. The nurses and therapists were excellent. They kept communication up with parents and were very family-friendly. The psychiatrist was hard to communicate with, but there was not one there 24/7.

We appreciate the feedback, Rebeccah. Thank you for the review and we're happy to hear about your experience with us.

This is the worst place for trying to stay in touch with your psychiatric provider. I've tried to access the website so many times with nothing but frustration to show. If you google Parkview Behavioral Services (PBS) in Pueblo, you get results that indicate where the office is located. However; if you click on the link to the website it takes you to Parkview Medical center and lists services with the medical center but does not allow you to connect to the PBS website. If you go to the PBS page on Facebook, the website listed there takes you to the site of a medical center in Indiana with no links to PBS in Pueblo. If you call the office, you get put on hold for long periods of time and often get disconnected. The office staff does not attempt to call you back. One day I called the office to find out how to access their website. The staff person ended up giving me 4 different website addresses, none of which worked. I like the provider who I see there, but the office staff seems determined NOT to allow patients to use the patient portal on their website. Is it too complicated for them? I don't know, but if PBS does not fix this problem, then I think that they should stop telling patients that they can use the patient portal because it's too difficult to find.

I have been going here for a little over a year and a half to which i have had no issues what so ever with my provider dr. T. The front desk employees always call me back, return voicemails even when i have left one after hours/closed. The nurses are very caring, kind, helpful and out right amazing!! . im in treatment for addiction recovery and i must say dr T. Has not only helped make my goals of being sober a reality but he also goes above and beyond making sure I'm going to my primary care dr. For my thyroid issues , making sure i go to the dentist for my tooth pain , making sure i attend n.a /along with therapy . my dr and the wonder staff have helped me get my life back !!! On days when i don't have a sitter for my 3 small children everyone there has been more than accomendating and helpful . i couldn't ask for better care
