About Newport Integrated Behavioral Healthcare, Inc.

Newport Integrated Behavioral Healthcare provides mental health care and addiction recovery support for children, teens, and adults in Decatur, Georgia. You can find many different levels of support here, including residential detox and different types of outpatient services. They accept private pay, commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare.

Sometimes, people need to remove alcohol or drugs from their bodies before they can safely begin their addiction treatment. This process can be dangerous and even deadly if someone tries to do it on their own, so it’s best to detox under medical supervision. This facility will allow you to live on site while you’re going through this stage, making sure you’re taken care of and providing treatment for withdrawal symptoms.

If you struggle with opioid use you may be able to join the medication assisted treatment (MAT) program. MAT allows you to use approved medication to manage cravings and lower the chance of relapse during treatment.

Outpatient care involves one on one counseling with a dedicated specialist. These services can vary in intensity and duration based on the amount of care and support you need. The partial hospitalization program is the most intensive, followed by the intensive outpatient and general outpatient programs. You can attend your counseling sessions alone, in a group, or with your family.

The neat thing about these counseling sessions is that they’re gender and age specific. That means you’ll be in there with peers who can relate to your needs and life experience. Some of the topics you’ll discuss include how to cope with stress and anger, how to relax and meditate, and how to prevent a relapse.

A former client said they cannot speak highly enough of this facility, and that it saved their life. Others echoed this statement and said they owe their life to the care they received.

The owners of this place are Incredibly cheap. All meals are cold and probably come free from Piccadilly Circus and we (patients) have one microwave to heat all meals. One pot of coffee for all staff and patients every morning. That's right, One pot. All rules are not written down so they yell at you when you break them. After four days I couldn't take it any longer. The whole place needs a paint job. Not a plant in the whole facility. The owners must be pocketing the government money they receive. Did I mention there were only five of us patients even though there were 30 or 40 cots, not beds, available. TV reception was unwatchable. No book swap. No exercise room. No toiletries so bring your own. The staff are way overworked too. I felt like a prisoner rather than a patient.Stay away!!!

Accepted Insurance

Newport Integrated Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Aftercare, which is sometimes referred to as continuing care or relapse prevention, is a type of structured care meant to help you continue with the progress you've made after completing an addiction treatment program. Most of the time, you'll continue receiving support after a treatment program by partnering with their case managers and staff to identify and access the resources you need to remain sober.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants in 12 step recovery programs focus on personal growth to address the emotional and psychological factors contributing to their addiction. 12 step recovery is rooted in spiritual development, but religious affiliation isn't required. Regular group meetings and individualized support with the help of self-selected sponsors promote participants' sobriety as they work through the 12 steps, gaining insight into their addiction, taking responsibility for their life choices, and releasing control over that which is uncontrollable.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober living homes in Georgia offers an alternative to the abrupt change of moving from intensive treatment to an unstructured home environment. Men's and women's sober living homes replicate everyday life situations, but they do so in a sober environment while also reinforcing healthy habits. This reduces the chance of relapse. Individuals who could use extra support after rehab or don't have a stable home environment can benefit from this transitional option.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
A service intended to improve family functioning by clinically stabilizing the living arrangement, promoting reunification or preventing the utilization of out of home therapeutic venues. Services are delivered utilizing a team approach primarily to youth in their living arrangement and within the family system.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
Designed for individuals who don't require round-the-clock care, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a form of outpatient care with a higher level of support. PHP treatment can be an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or a step-down option. With daily sessions lasting 6 to 8 hours, up to 5 days a week, a partial hospitalization program may offer medication management, relapse prevention techniques, and behavioral therapy interventions. PHP treatment can be fully or partially covered by insurance.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Georgia reduces the risks involved in detox and addiction treatment. Without access to professional medical care, individuals may experience withdrawal symptoms that become life threatening. For example, alcohol withdrawal can cause delirium tremens, confusion, and cardiac symptoms. Without medical supervision to step in, these symptoms could potentially turn fatal.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

A quality drug rehab in Georgia can help you overcome addiction. This environment is designed to help you address the complex issues contributing to drug dependence. The goal of treatment is to give you the tools you need to make a full recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Clinical Services

While cognitive behavioral therapy in Georgia is unique for each person, this therapy follows a standard structure that has proven effective. Clients first learn about their substance use disorder, then learn and practice techniques such as coping, stress management, and resilience to change their thought and behavior patterns.

While each person is unique, the typical length for dialectical behavior therapy is six months to a year. You'll attend weekly hour long individual sessions with your therapist, as well as weekly group sessions. Homework between sessions often includes keeping a diary to track your emotions and behaviors. Your therapist uses this diary to guide the focus of each session.

The group therapy is gender specific. It is offered for mental health and substance abuse services like: Chemical Dependency, anger Management and conflict resolution, coping skills, relaxation and meditation, relapse prevention, and parenting groups.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life. The individual therapy is provided by a Board Certified Psychiatrist or a Licensed Clinical Practitioners. The treatment plans are individualized and specific to patient’s needs or diagnosis.

During rehab in Georgia, you may engage in motivational interviewing. This typically lasts one to two sessions and is designed to address any ambivalence you have toward change. It helps you explore your current situation and motivations and commit to making changes for the future.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

The skills you learn in couples therapy are designed to help you successfully address relationship challenges as they arise. These skills can include anger management, conflict resolution, communication, and problem solving.

Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation. The family program is intertwined in the patient treatment plan, it is believed that family involvement and knowledge of the treatment plan is a key indicator to the long-term success of patients.

Many life skills involve coping with emotions and stress. Others involve completing tasks that allow you to live independently. Examples include finding a job, managing finances, and nutrition. During rehab in Georgia, you'll work on any skills that are lacking to ensure you have the tools for success post treatment.

Nutrition therapy has short term and long term goals. In the short term, it helps restore your health so you can recover from the physical effects of addiction. Long term, it helps you understand overall health and nutrition to set you up for a healthy lifestyle in recovery.

By incorporating recreational therapy into an addiction treatment program in Georgia, you learn to discover new interests and develop health and healthy coping mechanisms. Activities could include painting, group sports, or yoga. These encourage social interaction and support your physical fitness, which are vital factors in a successful recovery journey.

Nicotine replacement therapy helps with cravings and withdrawals as you quit smoking. Combining this strategy with other supports can be a great way to kick the smoking habit for good.

The only doctor there is rude and didn't care of my treatment plan and medication that made me very sick. I'm finding another Doctor that truly cares about me and my health treatment with medication. He just threw me on medication that he thought would work and I stayed in a zombie state .....

I can t speak highly enough of this place. They saved my life. I entered this facility in 2010 as a very broken addict. Today, I am 13 years clean. Alfred Williams and his counseling sessions saved my life. I wish that I could repay Newport for what they have done for my life, but that would be impossible, as it s priceless. Thank you all so much! Alfred Williams, Dr. Moseri (all of you) and all the amazing staff, from the bottom of my heart. I told yall I d make it! ;) Love to you all!

I really enjoy my therapist however, whenever I have made an appointment with the doctor, it has been a ridiculous wait time.I always have to wait. My appointment was for 10:00am. I got to the office around 9:00am. It is now 10:30 and I'm still waiting. I need my medication and Marta Mobility will be back to pick me up 11:00. I feel that the doctor has no respect for my time or my needs. Is it right for me to have to be in his office as expected but, he doesn't care about my time?

I advise anyone who is seeking help go somewhere else. The Doctor is rude, disrespectful , doesn t know how to communicate properly and he prescribe all his patient with Lithium without doing a properly diagnosis. The nurse Rose which is his wife and she is very disrespectful and nasty. This facility does not help anyone at all. They only make you worst. The facility is ran by a bunch of crooks. Mr. Willie is the biggest crook well counselor. They need to shut this place down. I am currently in the process with trying to get them to lose their license. They can t keep getting away with how they treat people. Please ppl don t waste your time going here.

I am giving a 3-star not bcuz of service, but bcuz of their mindset. 1st off, Epinephrine and Buprenorphine are 2 Totally DIFFERENT GENRES(Drugs). How can I trust my doc. with my health if their pharma-niave? Scarey I must say. Dr. Moseri's daughter, Ms. JOY is NOT A Dr. So she shouldn't be advertising meds during class 2BHonest. But she has good intent . Just confused: Suboxone has been arnd since 80s , stop acting like U Invented it. "Your not giving out a happy pill" ...No, a team of chemists make it from the poppys alkaloid: Thebaine ((just like all ""semi-synthetic"" opioids.)). I'm not a hoodrat she can take advantage of. I'm a upper class man from the suburbs. And if addiction is "a disease like diabetes" then don't kick someone out for eatinga powdered donut . OR if someone isn't serious, give it 2someubody who is. Yes. But all this misinformation, is dangerous. Other than that : VERY SWEET STAFF. MS JOY TOO.
