RUDE UNCARING. Took my husband there for chest and stomach pain lasting for over 12 hours and rather than be kind and understanding they were just barking orders at him telling him he needed to speak for himself. It was simply easier to do so for him so he could focus on his pain, lack of any professionalism. Told me I needed to wait in the car due to social distancing yet their policy was 1 visitor. RIDICULOUS

Accepted Insurance

New Vision – Research Medical Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
At certain points in the recovery process, it's important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.
outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient programs are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The Day Treatment or Partial Hospital Program provides an effective option for the patient (adult or adolescent) who urgently needs daily treatment without the need for 24-hour care. Outpatient therapy can be helpful in avoiding a crisis situation, such as when an individual is struggling emotionally or battling an addiction but does not require inpatient hospitalization.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I delivered two of my three children here and had the most wonderful experience both times. I wish I had my first here with a midwife as well. The nurses were all so amazing that I felt sad to say goodbye! My midwife Katie Lorand couldn t have been more supportive and respectful through my deliveries- she allowed me to do things exactly the way I felt most comfortable. She was in no rush. I can t express what a difference having her made after a horrible experience with my first at St. Luke s. One nurse I was lucky enough to get for two days, Jennifer Strong, was truly an amazing person. She was so comforting and kind, she felt like family almost instantly. The nurses are so busy yet never lack in their care, compassion, or thoughtfulness. This hospital may need some updates in appearance, but it s perfect in the ways that matter most. Especially if you re looking for a more natural birth experience but want/have to go through a hospital.

Spent two days here with my father while he had a heart procedure done, and also 4 hours of dialysis. The dirtiest hospital I have ever seen in my life, and after watching 5 house keepers sit outside of 1 room, for an hour cussing and talking absolutely terrible about other staff, while they sit there and say it's not their job to pull certain trash... loud enough the whole hallway can hear, I understand why it's so dirty. Every single bathroom I went in, in the 2 days we spent here was DISGUSTING. When we got to the room on the 4th floor, I checked the bathroom, the toilet a had a "clean sleeve" over the seat with feces and pubes still all over the toilet. While he was in the dialysis center, the nurses were screaming back and forth non stop about how their scheduling was messed up, dialysis is a long boring process there is ZERO reason the people should not be able to receive their treatment in peace. Yelling back and forth the whole time is completely unbelievable. This hospital needs to really take a look at how their employees act, and present themselves, and their facility.**On a lighter note Nurse Kaite on the 4th floor. And Cait in therapy, absolutely fantastic staff!! We've been through alot of hospitals over the last few years, and they are hands down some of the best nurses we've had. Also, all the transport staff/gentlemen were all so very kind, and communitive with patients and nursing staff!**

I was admitted to RSMC on Oct 16th due to horrible alcohol withdrawal The MT Brandon refused ordering a blood test and iv s due to my PCP (Goppert-Trinity ) referred me to go to considering high blood pressure and a heart rate over 120. During my stay I sat to be put in a room for more than three hours and never got ti a room just a hallway bed. Horrible communication and very unpersonable and unprofessional and told that if my pcp was a good doctor he would have ordered them himself and walked off

I was admitted to the hospital on Monday 9/16 and I had a RN name Spencer. Spencer was absolutely amazing. He took care of me, he checked on me throughout his shift, he made me feel welcome, and he told me the truth about what was going on with my care. Spencer was very humble and honest! He was very attentive and helpful, and VERY KIND!!! I would recommend Spencer to be anybody s nurse at this hospital he s absolutely THE BEST!! HE NEEDS A RAISE!!!Thank you so much Spencer for all you did for me and all you do for this hospital.

This has been the worst experience of my life. I was admitted on September, 9, 2024 for falls and severe pain. The doctors pretty much let me sit in pain and did next to NOTHING to help reduce it. The doctors here don t care about helping the patient feel better. They just want you in and out. Never again will I come to this horrible place. Then, the doctor sends me home with a script for pain meds. I take it to the pharmacy and the DEA number is incorrect. So I go back to Research, because heaven forbid somebody actually answers the phone. Now, the doctor isn t responding to the nurses messages to get it resolved!! This hospital is an absolute JOKE!!

Response from the owner1 month ago
We will work with our nursing staff to improve our process for sending medications to the pharmacy.
