My favorite location to dose at. The director is super nice and you can tell she cares. The receptionist is very nice and doesn t ever seem like she s upset to be at work, really welcoming. The nurses are great too but the nurse Tony is the MVP in my opinion She s always on top of things when I guest dose there and always atleast seems like she s happy to be there and to help. In my experience it s almost a thankless job and most people expect so much and can be super rude at clinics, but this clinic actually cares and does their best and you can tell.

The facility was clean and ran efficiently. I guest dosed for 2 weeks and the process was made easy. The staff was polite especially the receptionist and nursing staff. HOWEVER, I've been in methadone treatment for 10 years and the methadone dispensed at MMTC was pink in color not red and tasted watered down. I guest dosed for 2 weeks and after day 3 I was in withdrawal. I just started guest dosing at a closer clinic and could see, taste and feel a difference immediately. ALSO I had a credit with MMTC and when I met with the kim in finance she was not only rude but advised me my money would be reimbursed to me in 6 MONTHS and ONLY if approved??? I'm not sure why having my own money given back to me would need to be approved but hopefully in 6 months I'll receive a check in the mail.

Accepted Insurance

Montgomery Metro Treatment Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are designed for clients in early recovery and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Clients in IOP attend outpatient therapy sessions for a minimum of nine hours per week but clients may receive as many as 20 hours of IOP treatment weekly. Sessions generally occur in 3-5 hour blocks, in which time clients engage in some combination of medication assisted treatment (MAT), psychotherapy, recovery skills training, or complementary care.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Alabama provides medical or psychotherapeutic treatment for drug dependency. Methods of treatment often include a combination of medication, counseling, and recreational therapies.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
postpartum-program thumbnail image
Postpartum Program
The postpartum period is a sensitive time, especially for women in addiction recovery. Rehabs with specialized programs for new mothers will offer compassionate, personalized care to meet each client's needs as they transition from pregnancy to this season of life. Care teams may include obstetricians, pediatricians, and social workers working collaboratively to give women, children, and families a healthy future.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Some of the staff is nice but however DO NOT go here if you don t have money, insurance, if your payment includes any amount of coins, even if you are 2 dollars short . They gonna make you suffer. Stay at home!!! Because no matter how long you have went there if you don t have their money you won t get anything from them. And whatever you do DO NOT DISAGREE with ANYONE in the building. Right or wrong you will be throw out and made go to another clinic. Not to mention the way the staff talks about you when they think you cannot hear them. Place is filled with money hungry people that only care about their check. Aside from that the attendant that works up front is as sweet as can be. And if you have insurance they charge them way more than $17 a day .

Very attentive staff, everyone that I know that goes here has had nothing but good things to say about them. If you are fighting an addiction, and are ready to take the first step to recovery, then call them! Or go is between like 5:30am-8am Monday, Wednesday, or Friday for intake. You don't need an appointment, just go in. ( could be wrong about the cut off time, best to call and make sure). The initial intake process does take a little while to do but after that gets done your day-to-day going into those only takes a few minutes. If there's not a line, you can be in and out in less than 2-3 minutes. So don't let not haveing time be an excuse for not taking this step to recovery. You already made the first move because you're reading these reviews now. So I encourage you to make the next move and go in and talk to a counselor. They are not judgmental, they don't put you down or make you feel like less of a person. The people are just amazing and have saved many lives of people I know.

I moved back to Alabama from being in Rockford for 5years,and I hate to admit it,but I came home in rough shape..I tried going to my local methadone clinic in Clanton, and was turned away(that s a whole other review there....Whoa..)One of the clients was nice enough to recommend me going down to Montgomery...Now, mind you, it s 5am on a Monday,I m not familiar with this process at all,I always thought ,or had the belief that if you need, you go to a clinic and sure, there s paperwork involved, but they ll help you..In Clanton....Not the case..Well,for me anyway..Ok,I end up calling Montgomery, explained my situation, and was told to come on down...So, as sick as I was(omg,I was so sick,6 days of horrific withdrawals)I drove down there..As it turns out, they were indeed very professional and willing to help me, even though there was an issue with my ID(I renewed it that day). The Director was extremely understanding, and helped me with doing my intake. The nurses, and especially my counselor was so very nice to me and was genuinely interested in getting me taken care of.That first day,did take some time to get things in order,by noon I was able to get some medicine. This clinic was easily accessible from I-65, the staff are dedicated to helping folks and not judging them or look down on them, very professional and most of all, personable.I went there the month of October. I have never had to go to a clinic before, and I wasn t aware of what all it in tails, however, if there is anybody who finds themselves in a situation to where they feel they have to go to a clinic, then I must highly recommend them to the Montgomery location...
