Levels of Care

Outpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Intensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities. This program provides half-day treatment (Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:15 am to 12:30 pm).

Partial Hospitalization Program

With a partial hospitalization program (PHP), you can participate in intensive rehabilitation treatment with the ability to return home at the end of the day. For a weekly minimum of 20 hours, a partial hospitalization program can take place up to 5 days a week for an average of 90 days. During PHP treatment, you can receive relapse prevention strategies, medication management, individual and group therapy, and other behavioral therapy interventions.

I can't say enough good things about New Horizons. They genuinely care about their patients and foster an incredible environment that makes a difficult process way more enjoyable (if that's even possible). I was extremely nervous and hesitant opening up throughout my recovery journey, but NH made those fears go away almost immediately, especially after meeting the entire staff and other clients. I'm not usually one to post reviews, but I wanted to share my experience in case you or your loved one are struggling with addiction/mental health and are looking for a place to heal/grow. I cannot say enough positive things about New Horizons. After 2 1/2 years of sobriety and many different programs, I m still struggling with my mental health so thank goodness I found this place. From my first phone call with Jeff I felt like I was cared about. The groups are perfect for me, blending recovery and mental health. I finally found a place where I feel comfortable. Kris has been wonderful in every aspect, and my therapist Jen is amazing! For the first time in a long time I feel hopeful about my future and I owe that to New Horizons. I would recommend this place to anyone struggling with addiction and/or mental health.
