Nurses would straight up ignore me, I had a bloody nose and went to get help because I freaked out that I was bleeding because I've never had a bloody nose before and the nurse closed the door in my face. They also lost my blood sample and had to draw even more blood. Very bad experience overall would not be coming back again. How do you draw blood samples from all the patients on my floor but you only lose mine? When I came out of anesthesia the nurse told me to calm down when I yelled out in pain after I just had my gallbladder removed and my stomach cut open, how am I supposed to calm down if you aren't giving me any pain meds? The nurses also ignored my boyfriend when I asked him to find me a nurse, they were also very uncommunicative with each other. When I had my scanning for an hour 3 nurses tried finding me and didn't even know I was in scanning for an hour. Testing took forever and results took even longer, they with held me from food for all the testing and weren't quick about finding out if I needed more tests or not, it felt like they were purposely keeping me there longer than needed even tho I know they're busy. There was one nurse that was super nice tho I would give her credit if I could remember her name.

Just because you have insurance through the state of Michigan you have to sit in the dam waiting room while 7 people that come in after you get to go before you this is a bit ridiculous that you have to sit and wait when you have pain in your body that makes it hard for you to walk

Accepted Insurance

MyMichigan Medical Center Midland works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Personalized therapy sessions for drug addiction emphasize understanding your background and behavioral triggers for substance use. Your therapist will collaborate with you to create an effective coping strategy and address underlying issues that clear the way for lasting change.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

I wish I could go lower than one star. This hole dosen't even rate. I have been sent here for numerous reasons and each and every time all I have encountered is total incompetence to the point of having to go to a down state hospital to have the mistakes repaired. From Cardiovascular to Orthopedic to the botched brain surgery from severe head trauma. 10 years of wondering if anyone working there actually has a license to practice medicine.

Took my 9 month old to the Mid Michigan ER in Midland for these reasons: Starts SCREECHING in his sleep about an hour after we put him to bed, can t get him to open his eyes for about 5 minutes, he screeches for 30-45 minutes, nothing we did could get him to stop, as we are in the car driving he starts uncontrollably twitching as he tried falling back asleep. When I say he was screeching, it was blood curdling, ear piercing, he was clearly in pain. What the nurse admits us for: Fussy Baby.So we sat for almost 4 hours waiting for someone to look at Ev just to get told, He looks fine now, we don t know what caused it but since he looks fine now, we ll get you discharged. Oh on top of that, we were placed on a bed in the Hall in between two rooms that had to have security guards posted outside. That makes me real comfortable with a 9 month old, listening to the nurse talking to the security guard and making jokes about the man they named/deemed Crazy Matt .Disappointed and Let Down do not even begin to describe my feelings with this hospital.

Doctors are great. Billing is a joke. I've called them multiple times to get things fixed for workermans comp and apparently I have to make 5 different calls for each and every step, when I signed paperwork day 1 for workermans comp and noted every single time I was there for work comp. The billing lady hung up before even completing everything since I was asking her to annotate exactly what was said and she said "I did" when clearly she didn't last time, because I'm calling again for the exact same reason.

9 hours in ER. Never seen 1 doctor until the night shift doctor was on shift. Only for.her to say all is good. You can leave. My mom could not stand up without fainting? So then they suggested it's the albuterol treatment. No she has been on that med for years and never fainted. I asked.to have her be admitted..so now waiting 3 hours for MMR to show up . Gratiot has 1 bed open and by time they have her transported they probably will have it filled. NOW WE HAVE A WAIVER TO SIGN. THEY Will have Mid Michigan Ambulance transport her.. 776.00 though if insurance won't pay.. what is wrong with this Healthcare system..

I would not use Mid Michigan Medical center for any kind of imaging like X-rays, ultrasound, MRI's. Mid Michigan decided to fire all their tech team due to them wanting a raise in pay due to inflation, I'm sure. Mid Michigan is sending all of our images overseas without our permission. It's taking 3 to 4 months to get your images read. That is very dangerous for their patients, Especially if you are in fear of your family or yourself having any kind of cancer! 3 to 4 months could be terminal for a cancer patient! I would definitely take your medical emergencies or concerns elsewhere!
