outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

12-step icon12-Step

Recovery models based on 12 step programs feature extensive peer coaching and emphasize personal growth as a key to sustained sobriety. Regular attendance at 12 step meetings, which are anonymous, free, and available daily, is expected. The 12 steps of recovery are based on spiritual principles and support participants in addressing the root causes of their disease, accept responsibility for their choices, and accept that which is beyond their control. Self-selected sponsors provide one-one-mentoring.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

A drug intervention in Massachusetts provides friends and family the opportunity to share how a person's substance use has caused problems in their lives. The goal of the intervention is to encourage the person to get the treatment they need. Most rehab facilities offer intervention services that can help families prepare for the intervention and facilitate entry into treatment if the person agrees to get help.

I attended both North Reading and Haverhill locations during my PHP and received exceptional guidance. I sincerely feel like the Staff here truly care about the work they are doing, care about the well being of their clients, and are focused on positive forward momentum. I feel they helped me build a solid foundation for my recovery. <3

When i first entered Meta I was definitely one of those thinking i dont need treatment. I was reluctant at first about participating but after a few days of just listening I realized I could relate to many people. Just realizing this opened me up to participate and the feedback from my peers was very helpful. In addition to the benefits of interacting with my peers, the staff at Meta are exceptional. The staff really listens and from my experience I feel they implement all their knowledge and capabilities to ensure you get the treatment that suits each individual personally. I can t speak highly enough of my experience with Meta. Although it s only been six months, I take it one day at a time (I hate using that cliche) and it works. I am comfortable facing any situation I may encounter with alcohol knowing if a desire enters my mind I can use what I learned here at Meta to get past the urge.

Meta was incredibly easier and less stressful than I ever expected a place would be. The staff is truly involved, helpful and always available with anything you need. They handle all the paperwork with ease and are comfortable to talk too.The people there are diverse in age, race and where there are from but we all have the same thing in common, dealing with addiction, so it makes it easy to talk to each other. The program isn t sitting in a room all day and expecting to get better. They give you tools to deal not only with your addiction but how to deal with things on your life. They are very flexible to make the program work around your life so there is no excuse for not trying it. They do different activities though out the day such as going for group walks, art therapy, yoga, one on one sessions. The day is broken up in such a way that it goes by pretty quickly and you re not looking at the clock all day waiting to leave. I would highly recommend and encourage anyone who is looking to better their life to give Meta a try.

Meta saved my life. I have been to several IOP programs and I relapsed every time because there was no personal attention given to me. Meta will hold a very special place in my heart! I have made life long friends there and the staff is wonderful! I wish I could have stayed longer. I was surrounded by such a great group of people who were so honest and vulnerable, and that can only happen in an environment that is comfortable. Meta truly has your best interest at heart and I would recommend this program to anyone struggling with addiction.
