She was having heart complications, when she arrived at - UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital - Longmont. She was air lifted out of Longmont - down to the bowels of HELL (Aurora Campus). I knew from that day forward she wasn't going to pull through with the poorly run medical staff at Aurora Campus. There were many poor decisions that were made that caused a rapid decline in her health. The well wishes of the family and signed documents were not met for she is now a "MEDICAL EXPERIMENT" with MEDICARE!! They should have air lifted her NORTH into Fort Collins, the same network for cardiovascular complications because the AURORA CAMPUS COULDN'T HANDLE THE SITUATION - but they were MAKING MONEY with her there !!

This place is the worst - they do care at all if you re going in there sick and almost dying. Someone I know just lost their brother there. My friends, brother was deathly sick, So my friend took him to this hospital and the ER staff was informed of how bad off he was. They told my friend for him and his brother to go sit down. While waiting the ER lobby the staff did not check on him even though they knew he was there because he was having heart issues.,My friends brother ended up having a heart attack in the ER lobby bathroom, that s when the staff finally got involved. Unfortunately, they got involved too late and should ve taken him in immediately when he went in. He ended up going to ICU, then dying after they pulled the plug. Stay away from this hospital. There is no compassion and they won t even try to help you. They need to be put out of business. I hope someone looks into this matter these people at this hospital. Do not appreciate the lives of those who come in.

Accepted Insurance

Our Policy: Medical Center of Aurora works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact us to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
Open Beds
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

ECT is a form of treatment in which controlled electric currents are passed through the brain, sometimes causing short seizures. Treatments are done under general anesthesia. ECT appears to change brain chemistry for the better, and has been shown to provide fast and sometimes dramatic improvements in severe mental health conditions that can exist alongside addiction, including depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and suicidality. ECT is also often used by those who prefer it to taking medication.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

The staff in Aurora North don't even take the time to listen to their patients. Even if you constantly insist you need help or explain your particular situation they don't even show a shred of empathy. They are not qualified to provide help!

Terrible hospital...They sent me home knowing I hadn't slept in 13 hours and they gave me pain meds for the pain. And then made me drive home couldn't even rest for a little. Literally drove home high and delusional due to lack of sleep. But them people do not care about patients at all. Just get them in and out as soon as possible

I was assaulted by Dr. Sorina Simion-Rodgers during my stay at this facility. The patient advocate was useless and the entire staff, from nursing through administration, was highly unethical.

Recently my mom was in the hospital at the Medical Center Of Aurora North Campus, and I have to say that staff did a great job in helping my mom. Everyone from the Doctors to the Nurses to the Case Manager, everyone really made my mom's stay and transition go smoothly - THANK YOU ALL!! Now, I want to specifically mention by name some of the people who helped my mom. First of all, there is the Doctor - Dr. Rivera. Dr. Rivera helped to stabilize my mom's health by prescribing the right medications - Thank you Dr. Rivera. Next, I really want to mention my mom's Case Manager - Lauren - who did so much for my mom!! Lauren worked with the doctors and nurses to set things up where my family and I could visit my mom every day that she was in the hospital. Furthermore, Lauren did such a great job helping my mom get a quick discharge and she also set up outpatient doctor's appointments and pharmacy issues. Also, Lauren really went above and beyond by helping my mom find some cloths for her to wear up release. THANK YOU, LAUREN, FOR ALL YOU DID FOR US - YOU ARE SO VERY APPRECIATED!! I also want to mention my mom's nurses - Agnes, Eve and Girma. They were all so encouraging and helpful by answering questions we had about my mom's treatment and setting up visitation privileges! Thank you all!! In addition, Rachael and Stacy helped us by freeing up meeting space and for the inpatient visits we had with my mom!! THANK YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING - YOU ALL MADE THIS DIFFICULT TIME FOR MY FAMILY GO AS WELL AS IT POSSIBLY COULD!! THANKS AGAIN!!WITH VERY HIGH REGARDS, MATT (JULIE'S SON)

I have always had pretty for encounters and appreciate all medical services as I am in the medical field myself. I have called twice on a prescription not sent out to my preferred pharmacy. It's been almost 2 weeks. I called again today spoke with Betty who transferred me to the charge nurse. My call was answered, was told I'd be called back, only to be forgotten on the line as I had not given my call back number. I stayed on the call for 15min so I hung up called back to the Front desk where I spoke with Betty again. To ask if I may please just receive a call back since I was not helped and this is the 2nd time me calling in reference to the same thing. Betty huffed in my ear rudely and took down my information. Again working in the medical field this was completely the worst experience I've had at this emergency department.

I went to the medical Center of Aurora. It said it had a 3 to 6 minute wait for emergency room and they made me sit there in excruciating pain and needed an emergency surgery for seven hours of begging the nurses for help and they just sit there and laughed at me.a very racist hospital

I would say my stay here wasn't long but it wasnt bad as well. Staff was friendly, just overworked and severely underpaid. I think that would be my only call out for the facility. Thanks for treating me like I was valued and not like I was just a dollar stretched. I mean that and not sarcastically .

I fell on a Thursday night and was brought here by paramedics. I had surgery on Friday because my left hip and femur were broken. I have been here for six days. I know that shortages in medical staffing is a big problem and for the most part my nursing care was compassionate and professional, these nurses are incredibly over worked having a caseload far beyond what seems humanly possible. It appears to me that the communication among the doctors, nurses, assistants, physical therapists, caseworkers etc does not exist. I was told 4 days in a row someone was coming to change my bandages. Never happened. Equipment constantly malfunctioning flowers sent to me never received. I could go on, but I m guessing that you get the picture. I m not an advocate but I would love to see someone pick up the cause
