This is the best IOP in the area. As a professional working with the courts, they have been my go to when i have questions about substance use treatment and referrals. Even if they are not the best fit for my clients, they connect me with the appropriate service provider.

I ve been at Insight for five years and have been able to grow professionally and as a clinician. I stay at Insight because I love it here. I have the freedom to set my own schedule and am encouraged to be as creative as possible. As therapists we re often working with difficult situations. Even so, there is an atmosphere of joy and laughter in the office one that our clients feel as well. When my close family members have asked me where they should go for therapy, I ve referred them to Insight Into Action Therapy.

I was initially hesitant to see a therapist because I haven t done so before. Being Asian American, I was worried about finding a mental health professional who understood my experiences, culture, and heritage. I m glad I chose Insight when I finally changed my mind. The clinicians here create a supportive environment where I feel comfortable exploring my emotions and challenges. Not only are they compassionate and attentive, but they are culturally competent - something that is very important to me. Each session is tailored to my specific needs, making me feel seen and understood. If you are looking to receive mental health treatment, I would highly recommend Insight.

As a Clinical Outreach Director for Newport Academy, I frequently need to connect parents and teens with outpatient services. I have had excellent experiences with Craig James, and Insight into Action Therapy. I have seen great results of Craig's work first hand, and the practice is very efficient and welcoming! I highly recommend their services! Darren Hoffer, MA Regional Outreach Director for Newport Academy.

I am a medical professional in the local community who has had the privilege of referring many of my own patients to this practice for a multitude of reasons. I have utilized Craig James, Cyndi Turner, and Angie Harris's expertise with glowing results! I've had consistent and repeated appreciation from my patients for my referral to this practice and for this practice's ability to positively impact their lives. Another stand-out is that they work from the ground up---figuring out the root cause of the issue and treating from there. Their answer is NOT to immediately put patients on medications, which I wholeheartedly respect.

Response from the owner5 years ago
Thank you Dr. Dina! We appreciate collaborating with medical providers like yourself. Our clients feel better faster when we work together.

Julie Fender is the most inexperienced, unempatheitc therapist. Save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere. She will do nothing to validate or assist you. I had to ask for books to help my marital situation as she did not offer anything. She allowed her office to continue to be a place where toxicity and abuse occurred. She glossed over reports of emotional, psychological and physical abuse. If you actually need help go to the women s center in Vienna va as the therapists there are well versed with abusers and will not fail you as Julie Fender failed me and my daughter.

Response from the owner5 years ago
I am very sorry that you had this experience. Julie Fender is no longer with our practice.

Craig (Co-Founder and Director of Operations) is a genuine person. This is reflected in his work and his desire to help anyone he can. The mission he is carrying out is impressive and his personality is top notch. Highly recommend.

Response from the owner5 years ago
