About Greenbriar Treatment Center – North Strabane

Greenbriar Treatment - North Strabane offers specialized and cutting edge treatment for those individuals suffering from addiction to alcohol or other drugs. Greenbriar Treatment - North Strabane includes Day Partial and Intensive Outpatient levels of care.

The inpatient program offers around-the-clock care. Individuals may need to complete detox prior to moving forward in the program. Medications may be used to help mitigate detoxification symptoms and provide comfort. Nursing staff oversee the client’s detox process. Individual therapy, group therapy, peer support, and educational classes are provided during inpatient treatment.

The residential program is connected to the inpatient program. It allows those who have undergone detox and who are in a more stable place to focus on their recovery without any daily distractions from their normal life routine. Medical care and mental health support are provided. Therapy, groups, and skills classes are available.

Intensive outpatient services include therapy, group therapy, family therapy, 12 Step meetings, and peer support. Treatment focuses on topics that are necessary for a successful recovery. Educational and skills classes include topics such as addiction education, recovery skills, coping skills, and stress management.

Greenbriar Treatment accepts most insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Beacon, Cigna, and Aetna. Out of network benefits may vary, so it’s important to verify coverage with your provider prior to starting treatment.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients receiving services from a rehab aftercare program are usually stable and in the maintenance phase of recovery, having completed detox and/or intensive inpatient treatment. Rehab aftercare services can vary widely based on clients' individual and evolving needs, but often include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, 12 step program induction, and medical, mental health, and social service referrals. Individual care plans are typically developed by the client in partnership with their case manager and care team.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing in Pennsylvania gives you the opportunity to share your perspective and explore your ideas and motivation for change. Your therapist will walk you through the four steps of engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning to empower you to make any desired changes in your life.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

It is important to process the impact that traumatic experiences have had on your life. During trauma therapy, you and an experienced therapist confront these experiences and the emotional impact it is had. This helps to reduce your symptoms of stress and anxiety and improve your overall mental health and well being.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

life-skills iconLife Skills

Life skills are the mental and social skills that are necessary to navigate day to day life. Addiction diminishes or eliminates these skills, so they must be relearned and practiced during drug rehab treatment in Pennsylvania.

I came out of inpatient on August 21st of 2018 , I was inpatient for 33 days , I Started outpatient at Greenbriar North Strabane on August 22nd , 2018 , today October 13th, 2020 im almost 27 months clean and sober and don't smoke cigarettes either, the staff at the north Strabane facility is a big part of my recovery, Barry , Kira, Kristen and Jonie. Really care and want people to genuinely recover , I was in outpatient for 100 Sessions equalling 9 months, not because I had to nobody forced but what i got day in day out was priceless towards my first year of recovery , I still go to continuing care every Tuesday and sometimes on fellowship night on Thursday, I there is such a respect and trust between the counselors and the group members , i would recommend the outpatient and have recommended to alot of people in last 2 1/2 years , again thanks to everyone in the north Strabane outpatient location!
