I have had services here for over a year and now all a sudden my services was cancelled over lies that one Mary O'Malley made against me that wasn't true at all I've had many issues in the past with them cancelling meetings out of the blue as well when I was there at the inpatient services my personal belongings was mishandled. One I was there at the inpatient services there was federal inmates that smelled like marijuana as well as was smoking marijuana on the grounds and when I brought it to the receptionist at the desk she then informed me that the federal inmates there pays there bills and I shouldn't worry about it. I wouldn't ever recommend this facility to any person in there right mind these people care nothing about helping people in my eyes because if they did these kinds of things wouldn't be going on.

Accepted Insurance

Family Guidance Centers Inc works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Persons appropriate for outpatient programming are in need of structured treatment focused on prevention of illicit use, but are ready to begin incorporating sober lifestyle changes into settings outside of treatment such as family, work, school etc. Recognizing substance abuse as a multidimensional problem, outpatient treatment plans can address many issues including HIV, Hepatitis C,and other infectious disease prevention, job-readiness, perinatal addiction, domestic violence, criminal justice issues, parenting, concurrent health issues, and mental health in conjunction with the overarching goal of freedom from drug and alcohol abuse. The outpatient service menu includes substance abuse assessment, group counseling, individual counseling, case management, and periodic drug screening.
inpatient iconInpatient
The primary goal of residential treatment is to provide the substance abusing and substance dependent client with a structured environment that optimizes a positive treatment outcome. Residential Rehab is a residential therapeutic community that is professionally staffed 24 hours a day. This residential community is designed to improve the client’s ability to structure and organize the tasks of daily living and recovery. Clinical programming is designed to develop and apply recovery skills, including relapse prevention, interpersonal choices, and development of a social network supportive of recovery. Clients admitted to Residential Rehab must be at least 18 years of age. The client must have a substance use disorder which he or she is currently unable to effectively control without the structure of such an intensive treatment environment. The client must be willing to engage in treatment and become abstinent.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient services provide concentrated intervention focused on assisting the patient in establishing initial abstinence. After a comprehensive substance abuse assessment, an individualized treatment plan and service schedule is established. Patients are educated on the disease process of addiction and participate in highly structured and highly focused treatment sessions. Group, individual and case management sessions address the individual’s personal addictive history and use patterns as well as concrete steps for interrupting the illicit use pattern. Related problems such as employment, family, legal, health and mental health concerns are also addressed. Patients attend a minimum of nine hours of counseling per week and are provided with periodic drug screening to help track progress.
aftercare iconAftercare
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Illinois is designed to help people recover from addiction to a number of substances. The length of each program and its intensity tend to vary, and the plan of care is based on your individual needs.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

If you engage in cognitive behavioral therapy in Illinois, your therapist will work with you to change your thinking patterns. You'll learn how to recognize faulty thinking and develop skills to deal with stress without using substances.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Illinois typically involves keeping a diary to track actions and emotions. Your therapist will use this diary to determine what to focus on during each session. In addition to individual sessions, you'll also attend group meetings where you are trained in coping skills.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy provides you with a safe and supportive environment so you can address a traumatic experience. Your therapist helps guide you to understand your emotional, mental, and physical responses while developing healthier coping skills. This helps to improve your emotional resilience and ability to function in the community.

During couples therapy in Illinois, you may work on a variety of relationship challenges. Couples therapy can address topics such as finances, children, health, addiction, intimacy, external stressors, and family relationships. You'll develop tools to address these types of challenges in healthy ways.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

The nurses in the dosing clinic are great. The counseling used to be good but now they are down to one counseler and my husband needed to guest dose and it never got done so he went 3 days without dosing. They need to hire more counselers

If I could give half of a star I would. This place is a joke. They have staff hooking up with the clients. They take in people who don't care or want help about their addiction and turn away others who do. Their turn over rate is ridiculous. This place is garbage

Just like any place you go, you get what you put in. If your not willing to get better and actually want to, no program is going to work. Rick is a lovely person and I have always had good councilors. The nurses are friendly and helpful. Treatment can save your life.

MY wife is a patient here and she's absolutely loves the counselors and staff! She also used this facility for her in patient rehabilitation and thankfully and graciously by the grace of God she is still sober to this day! She recommends fully anytime she can or someone is questioning about where they can find help in or around Springfield Illinois.

The staff is incredibly rude and disrespectful. They have authority hunger and treat clients like dirt. They blatantly harass by calling clients inappropriate names. The staff does not communicate with eachother so everything is lost in translations. Rules are not followed. This is not the place to get help unless you have no choice. No one cares here. I m appalled and surprised this place has not been shut down

I ve been to the Harvey office for Methadone treatment, Manteno for inpatient, and Springfield for inpatient....and my life has been saved! Mr Marvin In Harvey is absolutely amazing and has great personal, but totally professional relationships with all his clients. Manteno: outstanding! Ms. Yolanda and Ms. Carol are were once where we were...now they save lives, like mine. Springfield, Ms. Kathy rocks!!! I can t speak on Chicago because I ve never been there. So seriously, for all the ones with negative comments, the problem was more than likely YOU weren t ready to be honest with yourself, and YOU weren t ready to surrender to the program. This program isn t new, if you paid attention you d know when it started, where it started, and by whom started it. Instead you are complaining about a counselor or 2 and forgetting if YOU didn t make the choices you did you wouldn t of had to go to any of the places, or fluctuate your Methadone dose amount, or deal with attitudes. When I was using I woulda dealt with anyone s attitude to get clean, considering I was hanging out with the devil everyday. Time for some folks to get honest and stop pointing fingers!! Be blessed everyone!
