Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Illinois is designed to help people recover from addiction to a number of substances. The length of each program and its intensity tend to vary, and the plan of care is based on your individual needs.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

This is an amazing program. We've been to many, many other programs in the area and none are like FAIR, this program is about real, long-lasting change. One of the things that make this program different is that they involve the family in the treatment. This program not only ... Read More

New patient to FAIR and very impressed thus far. I've heard wonderful things about the clinicians and their robust addictions program. My very successful family friend graduated from their program as a teen long ago. I sought out trauma therapy and was surprised at the fast response and easy scheduling. Typically there's a long waitlist for therapy services. I was able to get in right away and begin the deep inner work. My therapist Brittany is a joy to work with and is very encouraging. I'm excited for the progress I've made thus far. I have recommended FAIR for years and will continue to do so.

Brittany is fantastic. She is caring and thoughtful. Brittany will really take the time listen to your wins, losses, and difficulties and works so hard to make a space is that is comfortable while still challenging you to be introspective and offering advice and feedback. Two of the things I like best about working with Brittany are: 1. Brittany truly thinks about you when looking for solutions or advice, it s clear the advice she gives is catered to my personality and needs and not her way of operating or thinking 2. Brittany does a great job of balancing respecting boundaries of things I just don t want to talk about and calling me into discomfort whether I want to or not so we can work through issues.Basically. I love working with Brittany. I followed her from one practice to another because she is so highly valued in my life.I would highly recommend Brittany to someone who is looking for a therapist that will provide actionable steps and if someone who is is kind and funny but won t take your BS sounds appealing.

FAIR Counseling has helped me a lot in my mental health journey. Brittany is amazing. She really takes the time to listen and talk through whatever I am going through. Something that has really stuck with me that she said is it s one thing to hear praise from someone else but it s another thing to give yourself praise and since then I always remind myself to give myself praise.

Marta is an amazing therapist. She truly listens to you, lets you process thoughts in a safe environment and carefully challenges your ideas of the situation you are working through. Her care is warm and comforting; when you are done with a session you will truly feel heard. The office is inviting and peaceful which is a great environment to be yourself in!

Kelsey is an exceptional therapist. Her empathetic approach and expertise in cognitive behavioral therapy provided me with invaluable support. She creates a safe, non-judgmental space where I felt understood and encouraged to grow. I highly recommend Kelsey for anyone seeking compassionate and effective counseling.

I had a really great experience at Fair Counseling. As someone who struggled with addiction, Fair was able to take me in after I did inpatient at Hazelden in Center City, MN. I grew a lot while I was at Fair over 3 months. I had great sessions with my counselor Tara discussing any issues I had and also developing coping skills. I can t recommend her enough. I attended sessions 3x per week for 3 hours. Being amongst people that were close to my age definitely helped me progress. It is definitely the place to go if you are someone between the ages of 14-30. Thank you for saving my life, Fair counseling!

Marta has helped me personally in so many ways - through helping me cope with children with drug addiction, marital issues, and getting me through my divorce and on my "emotional feet" again. She has helped me see my value as a person through new eyes - and I am a much stronger woman and mom because of all her help and guidance.
