The ASAP program was absolutely life changing for us, my husband and I thought it was so beneficial. It helped us get through a really tough time and gave us tools to better navigate a situation we never dreamed we would be in. Our daughter came out of a 30 day residential treatment program into ASAP, it was exactly the accountability she needed to stay the course to becoming clean and staying clean. The therapists were really great and the tools and content taught in the program were a game changer for us. ASAP definitely enlightened us on boundaries and the ways we were enabling some of the behaviors unintentionally, we are so grateful for that. While she might never admit it helped save her life, we know it did.

ASAP has been in business for a very long time for a reason. They take care and choosing their employees, and the program is managed very well. Many kids have come through this program, and many parents and kids have been helped The program has 10 weeks a d a different topic every week, so both parents and kids can learn something each week. They also have a parent night, which is particularly helpful. I recommend this program 10/10

Accepted Insurance

Adolescent Substance Abuse Program works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs support clients' successful reintegration into their home, workplace, and community. Drug rehab aftercare presumes that recovery requires life-long support. These programs typically offer a wide variety of services customized for the clients' unique and evolving needs. Clients may receive vocational training and career counseling, housing assistance, legal aid, peer coaching, and 12 step program induction, among other services. Clients' case managers often play a lead role in rehab aftercare planning.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Developing life skills is an important piece of addiction recovery treatment. These skills help you succeed in day to day tasks and live a healthy, independent life. They include communication, critical thinking, problem solving, self control, and resilience.

Accreditations

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Established in 1992 by congress, SAMHSA's mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on American's communities.

As a parent, you never want to be in the situation where you have to find a substance abuse treatment program for your child. I checked out several programs in the valley and felt strongly that the ASAP program was the right fit. Was my child happy about it? NO. Would he have preferred some of the other enthusiastic sobriety programs out there? Yes. However it wasn t about what he wanted, it was about what he NEEDED, and THIS is the program he needed. It was not all sunshine and rainbows along the way, but he completed and graduated from the ASAP program clean AND sober. And I even think he ended up enjoying it. We are a month out and he still hasn t used and has even stopped vaping nicotine. Thank you ASAP!

ASAP is a great program with amazing staff. This program has been around for 30 years and the expertise demonstrated by the staff shows. They are knowledgeable, caring, kind, firm, and professional. Throughout this 10 week intensive program teens and parents have the opportunity to build skills in communication, relapse prevention, accountability, and many more. By having the parents involved in the process they get the support that they need from parents and teens in similar situations as well as developing a strong parent/child relationship. The changes I have seen in teens as well as parents and family relationships have been amazing. The staff encourages teens to give feedback to parents and teens alike to promote the sharing of different perspectives and challenge maladaptive behaviors or thought patterns. This program really works, you get what you put into it so if you are actively participating and communicating with staff you will pick up great skills and see tremendous changes.

The ASAP program and the staff are truly incredible. The structure of the program, with a family therapy night and two teen nights, provides peer to peer advice and accountability as well as support for families. It s the staff, though, that are exceptional, especially in the way they lovingly but firmly challenge the teens and their perceptions. The way they bring up topics and help teens and families work through distinctions between being clean and being sober, family dynamics, grief and loss, etc. are truly stellar. This program helped my daughter climb out of a dark, deep hole and provided the space for healing and trust to take root for us all.

This program absolutely saved my daughters life. Not only did I learn a lot from the parent meetings but my daughter loved what she learned from it and was helping other adolescents in the class while she was there. She completed her class and loved it so much that she is now enrolled in college to be a counselor for adolescents who suffer from substance abuse. I highly recommend this program and Tyler and his staff were absolutely AMAZING!

ASAP is a great opportunity for teens and parents to learn more about substance use and how this has impacted their individual and family relationships. Throughout the 10 week intensive outpatient program teens are able to develop skills, such as, communication, conflict resolution and relapse prevention. Parents are also involved weekly, which helps them work together and develop a stronger family connection. All work is done in a therapeutic group setting which allows the teens and parents to feel supported and understood. The staff is amazing, always professional and flexible. The changes that I saw with teens and parents was awesome! Family connections were strengthened throughout this program. Parents are able to receive the support they need from other parents that are facing similar challenges. This program is a wonderful opportunity to learn, grow and develop. ASAP is amazing and all of the staff is fully invested in helping teens and their parents develop a safe, loving and healthy way to live. ASAP really works, I have seen it and it is amazing to see the positive changes in teens, parents and in family relationships!

I highly recommend ASAP for teens that are suffering from substance abuse issues. Not only do they help teens learn new, healthy coping skills but they also work with the entire family system to help the family unit heal. The staff at ASAP is top notch and they truly care about the work that they are doing and the families that they interact with.

ASAP is the intensive outpatient program that we used for our son after trying other programs, none of which were as effective. ASAP provided accountability, education and awareness to our teen, as well as us, his parents. Getting all the family involved is key to the way ASAP works; they believe it is essential that the family be part of the teens recovery. Through the use of behavior contracts ASAP brings parents and teens together to rebuild the family dynamic by providing structure and accountability; this structure helps families navigate the challenges of a teens recovery. We learned much about ourselves and our son, and the lessons learned we will carry with us into the future. Our son graduated ASAP several months ago and he is still doing well, making good decisions, and our home life as been stable, which is a blessing.
