Zero stars! I've been coming here for my son's behavior.we seen Tara who is extremely unprofessional. She has my 15 year old son, talking back, making threats cause as she says it's ok and as a father I shouldn't put my child in his place! Well guess what "tara" you will not dictate to me how I raise my children,we can to you for help and you made things worse! When in session my child threatened me then I promised he would be walking home on his injured leg! Once I told her she was wrong in accepting his behavior she throw me out of the room and when session was over refused to relinquish my child to my custody!!!even had other doctors come out to try and pressure me to leave my child with them! Little did they realize I am not a push over as I busted into the room and demanded my child to come home with me! They then proceeded to send 4 east providence bully police officers to my home! I am currently filing a report on their business

I have been coming here for about 6 months for weekly counseling sessions. I have been waiting on an evaluation with psychiatrist Dr. Wold for over a month. I was a bit upset about how long I had to wait for this appointment because I ve been seriously struggling with my mental health. So the day of the appointment arrives and I m ecstatic that I m FINALLY going to receive the help I m in such dire need of, only for the receptionist to inform me upon arrival that my appointment was canceled. She then proceeds to give me a number to call on reschedule. I called and explained to them that I need an appointment as soon as possible and ask them why I was never notified of the cancellation, and she told me that they left me a voicemail about it which was a lie, there was NO voicemail left on my phone about this. Her reasoning for canceling my appointment was due to a problem with scheduling , meaning they cancelled my appointment and gave it to somebody else. For what reason? I have no clue and she wouldn t give me a logical explanation. It s bad enough I never got notified that my appointment was canceled, but it s ridiculous that they never even called me to try and reschedule. So she tells me the soonest appointment she can give me is a month away. It just goes to show how much they prioritize patients who are going through a mental health crisis. Officially done with this place. If you need help, go somewhere else.

I have been going here for years, I love Dr. Fessler BUT the staff has changed so much I don't even want to call there. The lack of compassion is a shame for a Dr's office. The continuity of care has been forgotten by nursing staff that calls on behalf of Dr's they should have a better bedside manner.I called over a month ago letting my dr know I was diagnosed with scoliosis never received a call from anyone. Now when I call regarding the pain, and the usability to work in such pain. I was told to go to the walk-in cause they can't see me and my doctor is out on vacation. She didn't want to respond on why I never received a call a month ago...Not everyone can afford 100.00 to go to a walk-in.

Accepted Insurance

East Bay Center – Adams Farley Counseling works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Company doesn't care about thier Patience,Even the ones with really bad health problems like PSTD, Depression, Anxiety, Borderline personality disorder, or multiple issue with pain thoughout my body. I have been in and out of the hospital for health reasons and have had thought cross my mind of killing myself. My Anxiety gets so bad I can't get myself out of the house. I needed a note to clear my stress so I could take weekends with my family it is the only thing that helps me get though the week. My family is a big part to why I'm still living. High stress has almost taken my life. And this nurse Candice hates me and won't let my doctor take me out of work on weekends so I can be stress free. She should be fired for the way she treats the Patience at the clinic like she doesn't care about them.. she has no feeling or empathy it seems to someone else's mental health. I really hope she gets into a new line of work because this one is not for her.

I have got a good support system with them I have not been stressing knowledge of being able to see somebody whether it's 2weeks or similar I enjoy Dr. Wold paying attention to me and my medical condition and I am keeping to keep my anxiety to a minimum but I don't know how yet I have a major case of ADHD which should have been treated as a child but wasn't,I have had experienced becoming disabled at a young age and marrying my soulmate which I lost this current year and reaching out for Mental Health was very difficult. I was lucky to find Dr.Wold. Thank you Cheryl for helping as well I am trying but knowing so many experiences I wish to be completely vanished out of my mind is beyond difficult. Thanks for the share

I come here for my psychiatrist and my counselor. Both are fantastic. The staff is courteous and helpful. Its hard for me to trust anyone, and I don't really like people or them telling me what to do, (anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, ADHD, suicidal thoughts (2005),and for years wouldn't leave my house). Thankfully my psychiatrist is working with me on my issues
