outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

Detox treatment varies, but it always involves 24-hour clinical care in Kansas. This supervision is necessary to ensure a safe detox process. Time frame for this level of treatment depends on the severity and type of the addiction. Common time frames include 5-day detox and 7-day detox. Rapid detox programs are also available that are as short as 24 hours. Regardless of the time frame, constant supervision by experienced staff is an essential component.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

medical-detox iconExperiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I don't think they have an idea of what respect means. They don't ever respect my time because I've had to redo my appointment a million times. Dreadful.

Went in for medication, the provider talked for Two HOURS, and then said she would be late for her next appts. Went back for a followup with a medication care coordinator, and she was STILL 30 MINUTES LATE & blamed it on "technical difficulties of Zoom" even though that's all she uses. I left. DO NOT use her for medication!

I was a client from 2007 to 2019. In the 11 1/2 years I went to them, I reaped insight, but not help for my issues. The insight I gained relates to the way they treat people via control and techniques that are detrimental to the client. I watched my friends enter this facility and continue to cycle downward, not up. I also continued to sink. As a result, I attempted to end my life multiple times as a means of escape. Leaving that place was the healthiest thing I could have done. I'm three years recovered and no longer need meds or services as a result of walking away. And my friends who stayed? Some have passed or are nowhere near where they should be in recovery.Don't trust these people. The compassion is not genuine and they care more about money than the clients.

Compass Behavioral Health is a fairly decent place to receive mental treatment for any sort of behavior issues. I have went through this company for over 13 years and they have given me a fair treatment I felt that sometimes that the treatment was a correct for me. Other times I feel like they were just trying to throw ideas out there and see which one stick. The atmosphere when you walk into someone of a company waiting lounge I wouldn't say it's the most comforting or most relaxing but it is fairly nice.I was lucky enough to be insured by my families insurance so I didn't have to deal with such enormous feels that they do charge. Warning if anybody that doesn't have a good enough insurance company I wouldn't suggest going here I would suggest trying to find a much more cheaper options around the neighboring cities and towns. If you're intending to bring your child or preteen here they will be treated with the utmost care with the kindness of staff. I cannot say the same for teenagers and young adults it's really is just a hit or miss. The case managers that go take care of the children to teenagers are the most kindest people you and me and they're willing to work with your family scheduled to come see your child or teenager. Other hand I cannot say the same for the therapist; the therapist are always constantly changing and always have a booked case File so it's always a hit or miss with depending on whether or not you're going to get a good therapist or a individual who understands basic human psychology. For the longest time I Never Had It consistent therapist due to the fact they were always constantly changing or leaving for better offers from different towns and cities. So I never felt like one person understand me truly to you know give me the proper help I could have needed but instead they did help me by offering me a case manager which did help me slowly understand my behavioral issues.Summary, if you do not want to leave Dodge and you're looking for a good provider of services for mental health I would recommend Compass but if you do have the time to go out of dodge to a different Community for mental health services. I would recommended especially for therapist.

I think the service and staff is top notch. I have built a great relationship with my counselor and the staff, who has the experience and knowledge to assist me with the issues I need assistance with. My insurance has changed, they will work with you as long as you show you are making progress on your account. I was given the opportunity to switch to another provider due to insurance, but the trust and relationship is worth the price than starting with another provider. If you are honest with your self and open to the ideas and tools being offered, I am sure you will get the help and assistance you need with Compass.

Not worth your money, it s a nice place but that s all it is. I don t think it help me as much & I went every week from Aug to Oct. The therapist wasn t ready on time, I didn t feel comfortable while she was typing on the computer. I thought my insurance would cover the whole cost. Now I have a huge bill. Go somewhere else that doesn t ripe your money & time
