Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

house-medical iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

people-group iconIntervention Services

Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.

book iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

prescription iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

head-side-medical iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

file-medical iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

prescription-bottle-pill iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Family Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Also known as CBT, cognitive behavioral therapy in Arizona is one of the most common types of psychotherapy. It offers a structured method of counseling that effectively treats substance use disorder and dual diagnosis disorders.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical behavior therapy in Arizona focuses on acceptance of your reality and behaviors while also attempting to make changes in unhealthy behaviors. It has been shown to be effective for the treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorder.

Couples Therapy

Residents of Arizona who are experiencing relationship problems may benefit from couples therapy. This form of psychotherapy helps couples express their feelings, resolve conflicts, and increase intimacy and affection.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction includes focused attention on the unique challenges that trigger addictive behavior. During individual therapy sessions, you have a safe space in which to discuss stressors and emotional struggles. Therapy fosters trust and open communication that helps develop personalized strategies to overcome addiction.

The clinic has both behavioral and physical services. I am happy with both. Both are very thorough and won't leave me hanging. Then too I've gotten next day appointments for things I've needed. The behavioral health doctor found a problem I was not aware of and is in the process of correcting it. This is your one stop, highly recommended facility.

(TLDR/ Main Point - When your mental health professional tells you they want to see if you are going to become truly miserable before trying another med- that should tell you all you need to know about this place.)Long version: When your life ends up worse AFTER going to them for help that says a lot about a place. I told her right when I took the first med that the side effects were drastically affecting me. I was told to give it 5-6 months. So I did. Then i told her the side effects are still horrible and she said she didn t feel like changing it because we had just gotten it figured out . (Aka- I would have to be seen monthly again instead of every 3 months and it was inconvenient for her) So I asked.. What? Do you want me to be miserable first? . She said Yes, let s see if it actually makes you miserable before we change it- I will see you in 3 months . I stopped taking the meds about 6 weeks after that so it would get out of my system by the next time I went. She seemed frustrated, but put me on another med told me to take it for the full 4 weeks So I did. I told her it made me literally sleep the entire time and I could not function- I told her it was affecting my mood, my marriage, etc. I told her anything with a sedative effect hits me stronger, and that I would lose my job if I had to be on something like that. So she put me in another medication- one frequently used as a sedative in the ICU (and in other situations).. This is just one line of events on how I got screwed over. I was also promised on at least 2 occasions that someone would call me about talk therapy- that never happened. In many ways (that I don t feel like going into detail about)- my entire life was negatively affected by the care I received. When your mental health professional tells you they want to see if you are miserable before trying another med- that should tell you all you need to know about this place.

I don't know how some of these people get their jobs but when someone calls and basically is begging for someone to talk to because they need to not because they are bored and the case manager tells them I'm going to hang up now....what message does that send.....I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES!!!!!Absolutely unbelievable Way to go behavior health specialist........

Went in for a scheduled an appointment only to be told the appointment time did not match their calendar. Showed the appointment card with my scheduled time and was told I could come back later. This was not an option for me and felt like a complete disregard for my time. This was my first and will be my last time at CHA. If the office can not be properly managed I have low confidence in any other service and care at this facility.

They did some blood tests on me and did not bill through my insurance even if it was on file. I have tried working with the billing manager regarding the lab billing me with no insurance claim. They asked me to drop off the bill which I have done twice to no avail. Every time I call in to ask for billing questions they transfer me to the wrong person either someone that NO LONGER WORKS THERE or a random number for another office not in this area. The two times I have dropped off of the bill the front office ladies looked at me like I was dumb and I m assuming the bill never made it to the billing manager in question. I m probably going to change providers which is unfortunate because the Dr themselves are great.

You guys are supposed Help not just say oh I'm sorry. I'm disappointed. I no longer trust you guys. I went 2 and a half MONTHS without my medication. I called and they said to wait till my next appointment to get them prescribed again but why would my psychiatrist make a decision to stop me cold turkey without asking or even telling me. She said she didn't know what happened to my next prescription. I get bad anxiety and have MDD. You're not supposed to stop using antidepressants and anxiety medication cold turkey! I called my case manager and she just said oh okay. She didn't ask or offer anyway to help. I lost a lot of weight. My depression has came back 10 fold. I'm having mood swings I have a short temper with my wife and kids it's not fair to them. I spoke to my psychiatrist and all she said was " I'm sorry I don't know what happened." I'm not making this up. The first time I called they said they send it to me and never did and I waited then called again and was told to wait for my appointment which was today.
