About Community Bridges

West Valley is part of the Community Bridges network. It’s located in Avondale, Arizona. They provide residential detox, inpatient and outpatient programs, and aftercare for adults. There’s also a veterans track and assistance if you have a dual diagnosis.

Once you enroll, you’ll probably start with detox. You’ll get 24/7 supervision from a case management team for your withdrawals and cravings. There’s also peer support through group counseling programs. Your therapy will become routine as you transition into an inpatient program.

Their inpatient program includes individual and group therapy to support your health. There’s a class for developing living skills and you can get primary care if it’s needed.

Once you’re done with inpatient care, you’ll descale to outpatient programs, which provide more flexibility. You’ll still be in individual, group, family, and couples therapy. They have additional services as well for supportive housing, crisis mobile support services, and community educational programs. There’s even an aftercare program for all alumni.

During your stay, if you have a serious condition or if it grows more acute, you can be referred to West Valley’s sister locations, including inpatient programs that have supportive housing.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient Rehab

Inpatient rehab is designed primarily for persons in early recovery and those who are exiting detox programs. It's ideal for clients in crisis or at an elevated risk of relapse. Inpatient treatment centers provide housing and meals, allowing clients to focus on their recovery away from distractions and addiction triggers. Clients engage in intensive psychotherapy, and many inpatient programs feature recovery-focused life skills training and/or complementary therapies like meditation, creative arts therapy, and other holistic treatments.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

The initial phase of recovery treatment typically includes 24-hour clinical care in Arizona. This constant supervision ensures a safe detox process, which helps the individual physically stabilize from substance use. Patients will receive medications to curb withdrawal symptoms and cravings, as well as other necessary medical treatment. This period typically lasts up to a week, then the individual will receive medical clearance to begin inpatient or outpatient rehab.

mental-health iconMental Health

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical behavior therapy in Arizona focuses on acceptance of your reality and behaviors while also attempting to make changes in unhealthy behaviors. It has been shown to be effective for the treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorder.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

The goal of motivational interviewing in Arizona is to enhance your confidence in your ability to make changes in your life. It encourages you to commit to change and plan for the process of making those changes that will allow you to reach your goals.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

life-skills iconLife Skills

Developing life skills is an important piece of addiction recovery treatment. These skills help you succeed in day to day tasks and live a healthy, independent life. They include communication, critical thinking, problem solving, self control, and resilience.

recreational-therapy iconRecreational Therapy

Many holistic centers incorporate recreational therapy into addiction treatment to offer you a chance to rediscover joy in movement and motion and build social connections. Activities can include dance, group games, and yoga, which all help improve mental health, reduce stress, and develop positive lifestyle habits. These holistic approaches help sustain long term recovery.

CBI the worst

The worst place to go in Arizona. They have the worst turnover rate. Food sucks stuck in a chair with nothing to do. The TV's on one channel all day. You can't hear It. Job qualifications. You have to be fresh out of jail. Or prison and have a felon. And a drug addiction. T ... Read More

Community Bridges is the worst center I have visited, the attention I received has been the worst of all; if you really need help this is not the right place to go. The woman at the reception is rude and indifferent. I wouldn't even take my sick dog to this facility.

This facility is nothing more then legalized drug pushing. There is zero help for person's other then more drugs or hospitalizations. My son has been going here for years and except for a few brief concerns for my son, they have not done much but push drugs on him. This is not what mental health should be and they get away with it because the patients can't or won't speak up for themselves. All you get from mgmt on down is alot of empty words and more drugs.

This place was not good. I had to ask 3 different providers for my medication so I would nor be in agonizing pain all day. It seemed to me like it was a prison. The bed was like a rock and the chairs extremely uncomfortable. 10 long days of absolute boredom.

CBI is a good place. While some of the workers and staff arent the best (just like everywhere else) they still are a valuable resource for those in recovery.

I called to try and get in touch with my friend because he texted me saying he was there and to call. And these people on the phone were so rude. Get better customer service!!! I could do a better job than that and I have worked in customer service for years. I m not happy and want to make sure my friend is okay.

As a parent that has legal guardianship I would definitely question this establishment integrity along with their safety as my son was able to escape from the facility. Staff just gives you the run around with answering simple questions. I feel for the loved ones without any legal guardianship how they are treated. CBI get your act together as it s about caring for people not numbers to keep your federal funding coming in!
