As a former employee, I can assure you that administration only views your children as paychecks.I worked in outpatient behavioral health in Huber Heights, and my experience was eye opening. The problems start at the top, with management busying themselves with office drama more than with the all around care of children.I can t speak for the rest of the hospital, but if your child has mental health problems, look elsewhere.

I have never been treated worse. The Nicu staff was absolutely awful. I was told to make sure I take my birth control so I didn t have another baby like this. By a nurse practitioner. The remote in my baby s room did not work so I was left for 40 minutes combined from two days trying to call for help. The charge nurses were also awful to me. After transferring, I remember how it s supposed to be. We re on our 3rd Nicu and Dayton was the worst month of my life. This journey is already hard enough.

Accepted Insurance

Children’s Medical Center – Care House works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Ohio provides comprehensive treatment to address the physical and psychological needs of those struggling with substance use disorders. This may involve inpatient and/or outpatient care.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

They say they are opened 24 hours and yet when I call no one picks up. My son needs a mri and I have called 5 separate times to schedule one and I keep getting sent to voice mail. They still have not reached out to me and its been about a week in a half.

The doctors and nurse and scheduling service for a regular appointment was good. My son is a candidate for tubes, but we didn t want to schedule at the time. I ve been trying to get ahold of someone in scheduling for surgeries, for 3 weeks, and every time I call, it rings then goes to voicemail. His doctor told us at the appointment that we can go through MyChart to get it scheduled and send messages, but I ve tried to send messages and it tells me to call! Very frustrating. If I don t hear back by end of this week, I will go somewhere else to get them done before he gets another ear infection

I haven't had good experiences with hospitals in the past so I was prepared to be disappointed. We were transferred to the ER from another hospital. I had the sense that they were ready for us before we even got there. My son broke his hip and was in surgery within a few hours after getting there. The nursing staff was outstanding in both taking care of my son and us. We didn't get a lot of time with surgeon before hand but she made sure that all of our questions were answered. After surgery, they made it a priority to get us back to recovery to see him. We really never waited for anything. Their follow up after we got him home was well done as well. I would not hesitate to take my kids back there for anything they needed.

They accused my daughter and her boyfriend for shaking my grandson. while he is fighting for his life. They or my family can't even see him!! Because, one Dr said he had hemorrhaging behind his eyes. He came in because, he was choking then he wasn't breathing. My local hospital had him transported to children's. Now he is fighting for his life. We can't be there!!!

My daughter had tubes put in recently and every single person I came in contact with throughout the journey has been WONDERFUL. Mary at the front desk in the specialty care center went above and beyond for my daughter and I. Her doctors were so helpful and all the nurses were so kind. Sarah in Audiology was amazing. My toddler actually loved coming every single time. Thank you all!
