About BHG Cheyenne Treatment Center

Behavioral Health Group provides addiction treatment services for adults who’re struggling with opioid use disorder. They have locations across the United States including the Cheyenne Treatment Center in North Las Vegas, Nevada. At this center, they provide outpatient services including counseling and medication assisted treatment. They accept self payment, private insurance, Medicare and Medicaid.

I like that this facility uses methadone, an FDA approved addiction medication. This med can help ease your pain, manage your cravings and reduce your relapse risk as you recover. As with all of their centers, you can earn take home privileges once you stabilize.

In addition to addressing your physical symptoms, they know that you also have to treat the psychological aspects of addiction. This includes how it affects you mentally, socially and emotionally. That’s why your treatment plan will also include individual, group and family counseling. You can participate in person or online.

One client says this is a great clinic because everyone treats you like a friend after the second day. Another says the process is a little long but it’s worth it to get clean.

First off, Jordan is the best thing that's happened to this place. He is amazing, and he truly cares about his patients. He worked his way completely up in there and he deserves to be running the place. He was the ONLY one who made not only myself, but my fiance feel like anyone was listening, cared or that was actually doing their job. He goes above and beyond his job title, and we can't put him up enough. Jordan we have a lot of love and respect for you, thank you x1000.This place is a JOKE. I waited 7 hours to he intaked for SUBOXONE. This place had all my records, as I went to them prior for methadone..still wasn't a problem. even though the doctor was taking his sweet time joking, eating, etc. There was a time where no one moved in line for him for 2 hours. I saw 4 people walk out just at the ridiculous way the wait time and how we weren't moving was going. Not only that, but when I saw the doctor he said "make sure u don't leave here without your script" but wouldn't take down my pharmacy himself, he said I had to talk to the front. So as I did, the DIRECTOR gave me her card and said if I have any problems (since they were closing and I was the second the last person) to reach out to her directly to make sure my script went through. As I'm about to leave, I tell the director that the doctor told me to not leave without my script. She brushed me off and said she would talk to him when she went in next... Knowing there closing. Knowing she's leaving, I'm leaving, everyone is. At this point the last girl says the same thing to the lady at the front "THE DOCTOR TOLD ME NOT TO LEAVE WITHOUT MY SCRIPT"... I see she gets completely ignored.. once again I ask the DIRECTOR about it and she says to reach out to her directly if there's any problems.Fast forward to 24 hours later, they NEVER put my script in ! The director never answered any of my calls or texts that day. I reached out by phone and by texts and was completely ignored. When she FINALLY responded was the next day about 10 am and she said she reached out to the doctor to put the script in and I should call the clinic to find out more info. But when I called at 6 am that same morning, the front desk person told me that my script was already put in and when I argued that wasn't true, because I called them multiple times the day before, she said that they're dumb sometimes and asked me for the number to call herself and see "what happened" but then the director texts me hours later saying she was waiting for a call back from the doctor to put my script in?? Which is it???Regardless, they didn't do ANYTHING for over 24 hours. And then when I start calling flipping out, then things get done. And there wasn't a SINGLE call back from anyone there. The front desk, the director, even the doctor who I reached out to myself outside of them. Not only is this place CLEARLY shady, they don't care about people's sobriety. Im 16 days clean, if I hadn't been as strong as I was this would of led me to use because of how sick I was. People working in this line of business should truly care about what they're doing and who they're working with!!!!!!The "counselors" here don't care. I dreaded coming and talking to mine while on methadone because she didn't have any kind of empathy nor even simple communication when I talked to her.DO NOT GO HEREnot to mention I did all that for a weeks worth for my Suboxone. They make u come back every week for your script, they're absolutely insane thinking I would come back to them for help EVER.

Accepted Insurance

BHG Cheyenne Treatment Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Trauma therapy uses trauma focused care to help you understand and manage your emotional and physical responses. Using therapeutic interventions, you learn to reframe the experience. This helps to reduce your anxiety and build your resilience to face future challenges and gain control over your life.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Accreditations

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Established in 1992 by congress, SAMHSA's mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on American's communities.

SAMHSA Listed: Yes

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) is a non-profit organization that specifically accredits rehab organizations. Founded in 1966, CARF's, mission is to help service providers like rehab facilities maintain high standards of care.

CARF Accreditation: Yes
Accreditation Number: 212038

State Licenses are permits issued by government agencies that allow rehab organizations to conduct business legally within a certain geographical area. Typically, the kind of program a rehab facility offers, along with its physical location, determines which licenses are required to operate legally.

State License: Nevada
