About BayMark Health Services – Parkside Treatment Center
The program has been designed to treat each person’s individual needs. Medication assisted treatment is offered in conjunction with substance use counseling. The medications that are available at the center include methadone and buprenorphine. During your individual therapy sessions the therapists will work with you to determine the starting point of your addiction. They will help you process past experiences and provide helpful skills to process difficult times and fix relationships.
The first appointment will be the longest, lasting anywhere from two to three hours. They will conduct a medical assessment and testing at that initial appointment. I like that his facility is able to coordinate services for women who are pregnant. Other supportive services offered for adults include case management, discharge planning, services for addiction and relapse prevention.

So one thing I’m really confused about is HOW CAN YOU CHARGE SOMEONE FOR MISSING A DAY! also this company has WENT DOWN HILL FAST! this new company that took over can careless about ppl that come here every week for a month now they have held my bf for a hour and a half to do paperwork all bc he has had every counseler in the past 8 years he has had a meeting once a month did paperwork with them but now they don’t have it? So he has been redoing 8years worth bc no ppl couldn’t do what they get paid to do it’s his fault mind you never failed a drug test every week we are in the main office asking for help and asking what we can do who we can call how to get them to stop holding him for over a hour every week and nothing gets done ever they act like they care Ive been here for over 8 years they came here like a month ago and act like it’s your fault they didn’t do things the right way and you get blamed then they try to say the clinic isn’t working for you after you never failed a drug test the new lady that’s the head of that office it’s like talking to a wall she will just keep saying the same thing over and over again and then when you go there the next time it’s like nothing happened and you never talked every week I go see check in and never have a issue today she says I’m not meeting with her and trying to say I haven’t seen since October when but won’t pick up a phone and call her to make sure nope of course not as soon as you walk in your getting mean mugged by the girl at the front desk that just acts like your a waste of space but that’s ok the guy that was nice and cheerful and welcoming they let go of they can’t keep any workers

This clinic went down hill I’ve been here for 8 years and as soon as the new company took over the company went to trash I have passed EVERY drug test I haven’t missed any days since the started charging even if you don’t go btw I go there once a week and every week I get stuck I walk in and every week it’s the same thing you need to do paperwork every week for the past 3 weeks in a row I sat there for over a hour each week I’m promised it won’t keep happening and each week it has I’ve reached out to EVERYONE in the building trying to find out why is it my fault that the staff didn’t do what they are paid to do it shouldn’t be my problem but each week I’m stuck for a hour then they don’t even count that as your meeting time they should mess with ppl that are still getting high not the ones who pass every test bad enough you can’t miss a day or they charge you but then to bother you every single week is just crazy then wonder why your upset I don’t know maybe bc people do have jobs ppl aren’t lucky to enough to work 3 hours a day some of us do live check to check if you want your money and don’t want us to miss any days maybe let me go to work? And idk what giving me the number to the clinic is going to do like I said 8 years I’ve been here never had a issue till your company took over and every week me and my gf are in your office and every week it’s the same thing your staff didn’t do the job they should so I’m being punished how is calling you going to help me when standing infront of you don’t even help?! I have the clinics number u just called me today at 1 to tell me AGAGIN I HAVE MORE PAPERWORK TO DO BC the staff didn’t do the job they are paid for every comment is the same just you giving your number and not really fixing or caring about anyone but the payment they go the nurses and ashley are great tho you can definitely tell who cares and who can caresless

This is by far the best clinic in Jacksonville, FL. Most of the patients are working professionals and genuinely want to get better and do the right things. If you are not serious about your recovery, this is NOT the clinic for you. This clinic holds you to the rules and isn't going to let things slide.
They recently got a new Nurse on staff, I think her name is Dee. She is amazing and the BEST nurse they've had. She puts patients first and is one of the most knowledgable staff there despite being so new. That woman deserves a raise!
The only reason I didn't give the clinic 5 stars is Leadership Issues from Corporate and there could be additional counselors. Right now there is only one counselor and it's not enough for the current patient population. I cannot tell you the last time I received counseling since my original counselor left in April.
The two counselors that left were great and were decorated in their field(s) and had a masters in Social Work, we were all very sad to see them go.
I will say that the current counselor Ashley is also wonderful. She is doing the best she can despite that she had the entire patient population dumped into her lap. She deserves a raise as well!
Overall, I would recommend MedMark in Jacksonville over any of the other clinics in Duval county if you want help and you're serious about your recovery.

A major downfall is that the corporate MedMark office/Corporate Leadership team(s) have been destroying this clinic. There are days I worry; that one day I will show up and the doors will be closed forever. Another time it took a nurse over 4 weeks to get paid. Another time they closed abruptly without notice and patients were left without their medication for several days.
I hope that MedMark corporate sees this and gives this clinic the support it deserves. Right now they (MedMark Corp) are not treating their employees or patients with the empathy, dignity, fairness, and respect they deserve.

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
Treatments
Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
Programs

Clinical Services
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.
