Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

If you're lucky enough to get on the schedule, you still might not be lucky enough to be seen. Big bureaucratic hospital policy at its finest here in this poorly-ran hospital. Nurse practitioners and doctors alike seem to be unable to do their job. Overbooking patients, turning it into a numbers game instead of actual patient health care. (Meaning you're only a chart not a person until they have the time to see you).I don't care what your policies are. If you can't follow up with your current patients to discuss patient health/status, when they should be seen again, or if you can't refill a prescription until you see the patient but then can't see the patient for months on end due to your own practice's booking policy and schedule. You really shouldn't be in such an important business such as healthcare. No person should ever be treated this way when dealing with an illness. Let alone a child. So rule of thumb for this place:Don't ever expect to hear a doctor's voice over the phone. (Barely in person either).Don't expect to ever be followed up on after you've left the building.Don't expect to even be seen unless you're a half an hour early and willing to wait all day. (Like DMV for healthcare).Don't expect the front desk to know their head from their rear ends. Truly deplorable methods and policies here. When dealing with guys.Expect everyone to do the bare minimum in this place until it's time to collect on a bill.So in closing...I would certainly look elsewhere before going through the headaches of this place. If you truly want care and compassion for your child or yourself. This is not the place.

beware! this institution's "incompetence" regarding insurance and billing is at the very least negligent if not dishonest. from my gallbladder surgery to the birth of my daughter (all in one year), it's been truly disgusting to observe how poorly my family and i have been treated. the trust i once blindly gave was quickly betrayed, and it's been an uphill battle ever since.if you need to call to settle a billing or insurance issue, you will not be connected to north central baptist hospital. you won't even be connected to their billing office in dallas. you will be connected to a collection agency in a foreign country. the individuals you will talk to are very nice, but they are debt collectors in function. additionally, they will refuse to give you any contact information to tenet in dallas. the middle man in place is a stop gap preventing customers from resolving unfair bills. this is grossly dishonest.so if you need to go to the better business bureau or complain to your insurance company or go to the news, do it. this behavior from tenet is predatory and should never happen in healthcare regardless of for profit or non profit status.

I don't like the doctors at the hospital because they had called DCFS on me and I have done what I could and they don't communicate with me with what is going on with my son. I had caught it almost a year ago and it's not my fault that the urgent care didn't catch it instead of referring me to the dermatologist. I'm new to this and I didn't go to college but they are going to be waiting the money after I get the bill.

***It took 10 months to prove my families innocence with CPS banging on our door. My wife was inputted into the child abusers database affecting her ability to work and post partum follow shortly after. How much money do you receive as kickback each time you falsely report a minority family to CPS? I wonder if they are hidden as bonus for directors and execs or spent on the hospital equipment and buildings? This is NOT going away and only a matter of time until you re are all exposed for your corruption. All of the families you ve hurt will get their justice one way or another. Until you address it with me directly I will work around the clock with every resource I have.New parents please beware!Visited this hospital with my wife for nearly 15 weeks for prenatal care. Never missed an appointment, completed all analysis and test leading up to the birth of our son. By the time we were discharged from the hospital we were informed we had CPS case submitted by the hospital. Just two days later being home CPS shows up to our door reading us our rights and informing of us physical abuse allegations. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Please make an informed decision before trusting them with one of the most important milestones in your life.As for North Central Baptist I expect a full investigation and response, list of proper protocol and policies before this is escalated to appropriate parties. This is your final chance to do the right thing and own your role in a very traumatic experience that won't be kept quiet. Do not test my resolve.

HORRIBLE. STAY AWAY. Yet again North Central Baptist is still overcharging me and I even paid the discounted settlement and they are still charging me the full amount. And now they are threatening collections. Stay away even with good insurance. They are horrible

Billing is terrible. I ve been telling them multiple times my problem how my daughter isn t on my insurance but for some strange reason nobody can put her on my husbands insurance correctly. It s a 2K bill I m running out of patience I don t know what to do. How do I talk to these people to get thru to them that she s not on my insurance. I give them my husbands insurance it s not that hard. I was nice on my first time but on each phone call I yell. I cry. I plead. The people on the calling service are so dumb, incompetent of doing their job right. I tried paying my bill but they put that money on my daughter s bill so they can t seem to transfer the funds. This has been the worst hospital I should have just gone to Methodist.
