About BAART Programs Visalia

BAART Programs operates an opioid addiction recovery facility in Visalia, California. This facility offers outpatient opioid use disorder treatment. They help men and women in Visalia and the surrounding area recover from opioid addiction. These include fentanyl, heroin and prescription pain medications. Specialized recovery services are available for pregnant women. It’s really great that this facility accepts Medi-Cal, Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plans. They even provide transportation for Medi-Cal patients based on plan.

Their specialty is medication assisted treatment. This recovery solution uses medicine and counseling to treat substance use disorders. The medicines employed for this purpose are strictly those approved by the FDA for addiction recovery.

Their medication assisted treatment uses methadone to manage withdrawal symptoms. This is also called methadone maintenance treatment. Methadone curbs cravings and reduces withdrawal symptoms. This enables you to undergo counseling.

The facility primarily offers individual counseling. This involves a one on one session between you and your dedicated counselor. Counseling helps you address personal challenges, set recovery goals and develop coping strategies necessary for lasting recovery.

What I find fascinating about this facility is the efficiency of their care team. This includes licensed counselors, clinical staff and therapists. These experts ensure the methadone treatment is tailored to your unique needs.

Additional personalized care and services are also available. This ranges from medical checkups and assistance with treatment planning to addiction and relapse prevention education. They also offer guest medication services and help with SOR3 grant applications. Their aftercare services include lifetime support and connection to essential community services.

I went in to the clinic today to help a friend of mine that needed to sign up for the treatment. Soon as we walked in all you could hear was F this and F that, and she's an old b!^ch. It felt like I was stepping into a bar way down south Arkansas. Once the new receptionist finally noticed we were there and we needed help. She made it a point to tell us how long the wait was going to take probably all day. And if he would have never quit coming we wouldn't be going through all this. I've been going to this clinic for over 10 years now and I have been made to feel the way I did today. Barrt really needs to shape up their staff. The first person. You see is talking like a bar fly. Unreal.

Location

Accepted Insurance

BAART Programs Visalia works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Per session payment lets you pay for each treatment at the time of service. You may also pay for a certain number of sessions up front and then pay for more if needed. This format allows you to tailor the financial investment to your specific needs and avoid having a large lump sum payment due at the end of the treatment program.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
When an individual is in denial about their substance use disorder, their loved ones may organize a drug intervention in California. This effort involves gently but assertively confronting the individual about their substance use and sharing how it has affected those who care about them. A professional interventionist may also attend this gathering. Their expertise with intervention services can prove helpful in guiding the conversation to a positive result.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

Opiate Addiction Treatment Centers specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
hiv-aids-program thumbnail image
HIV/AIDS Program
HIV/AIDS programs support disease prevention and management in high-risk individuals in recovery. Individuals who engage in intravenous drug use and other addictive behaviors are at a higher risk of becoming infected with HIV. Rehab centers that specialize in treating this population typically have a high number of nurses, physicians, and psychiatrists on staff who can make sure both their medical and mental health needs are met.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

During group therapy, men and women learn to express their emotions openly in a non judgmental setting. This helps you process your feelings and reduces feelings of social isolation that are often associated with addiction.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Trauma therapy is a structured approach used by therapists to help you heal from a past traumatic event. Your therapist works with you to identify the traumatic memory and process the information so you experience emotional healing and a sense of safety and stability.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

This place is a joke. They do not care about their patients, they are hostile and do not try to help you in anyway. They are bullies yelling at there patients and being demanding. They dont fallow policy and will not help you grow in the future. If you are serious about needing help and being able to become better i do not recommend this place they will railroad you into what they want and do not care about helping you. Honestly one of the most unprofessional places

They are the worst. I called early in the morning to know when was the best time to arrive for intake and was told to come in at 10am no earlier than that because that was when they claimed the doctor was available and I was told they didn t want me to wait long . I even asked if I could come in earlier to start paperwork but was told not to come earlier than 10 again. I arrive at around 10:10, began the process but had an issue with a sample I had to provide. So I had to take some time to provide another sample. When I was finally attempting to go again around 11am they had an attitude and while I was using the facilities they began harassing me and telling me I had to get out now while I was trying to provide the sample they required. The lady told me she didn t care if I was using the restroom that I had to get out now. They were still open until 1pm according to the sign on the front entrance but one of the male employees told me they would not take me because I arrived too late when I was told to come in after 10am by them. Only one nurse was actually professional while the others were rude and lazy which is why they made up the excuse of me coming in too late when they were the ones who told me I could not come in earlier. If this program is meant to help the community you need to get rid of those employees who are lazy, rude and just show up to get paid. You re employees don t like to help others and it shows but karma is real and hopefully those employeees know that. So unprofessional and I would never recommend anybody in need of help to this program.

Overall the experience is somewhat in need of a makeover. The building isn't very well lit inside and it kinda feels depressing. However one of the nurses there, Jackie, is fantastic. She was very professional during the intake process and was very respectful. As anybody who knows the lifestyle that would lead one to a clinic can have long term effects. Taking my blood can be nearly impossible and I can get bad anxiety when somebody thinks they know my body better than me and insists on poking me until they succeed. After voicing my concern, she was understanding And promised only to try one time, which she did. I dunno something about her just calmed my anxiety and made me feel like she was on my side as a friend instead of just another patient rolling thru the doors. That made me feel good. Even now I see her she still brightens my day and asks how I'm doing. Thanks Jackie!

Okay so there's those that know me and those that don't care to know me but I'm cool with that I met a young lady there I'm married but I met a young lady there I think she was a nurse her name is Jackie she was so concerned with the patients outside waiting because something came up and she made sure that she greeted all 15 of them and told them how she so sorry about the delay and everything like that that's the most anybody has ever said to me other than just wait you know that's how they are they treated everybody like dogs but I told her dad so hold on she might take the position of the owner of that place which would be really good cuz you can tell she's a strong individual you can tell she means what she says and she says what she means God bless Jackie everybody go in on a prayer for her God bless you Jackie

( Luckily ) I am am not a patient but ( regretfully ) my wife is. I am taken back with how this place is called a treatment center How to put this nicely. I can't see how they call themselves an addiction treatment center. They aren't there to help people. They just want to get their patients to trade one addiction for another. My wife is going there to get help for an addiction problem. She is a patient because she wants to stop not swap one addiction for a different addiction. They almost daily try to get her to up her dosage and pretty much ignore her when she tells them she wants to lower her dose. That place is a a joke. If you are wanting to quit and not be a regular user then I would try to get help elsewhere. BAART wants nothing more than for a patient ( customer ) to be a lifer. Are all methadone clinics like this? In my book they are simply drug dealers themselves and only want customers and don't want them to get sober with long term usage is there main goal.
