I completed my dv program at Apple Valley Counseling and have nothing but great things to say about this place. The women s group I was in helped me learn so much and gave me life skills I will use for the rest of my life. I want to specifically thank Roger Ackerman for believing in me and guiding me to become the person I am today. He taught me to communicate with I feel statements and using HALT (Are you hungry, angry, lonely or tired) which help me express my feelings in a healthy way. I feel blessed to have had Roger as my counselor because he really cares about everyone there. I am always recommending this place to everyone including the clients I work with. Thank you Apple Valley Counseling!! I will never forget this amazing experience.

Accepted Insurance

Apple Valley Counseling Services, LLC works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs support clients as they focus on maintaining their sobriety after intensive (often inpatient) treatment. These programs adhere to a model of life-long recovery, addressing addiction disease as a chronic, relapsing condition. Rehab aftercare services vary widely based on the specific and evolving needs of the client, but often include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, and 12 step program induction. Clients, case managers, and care teams typically collaborate on long-term care plans.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Individual therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction treatment emphasize the importance of personalized care. Your therapist works with you to understand your unique life experiences and develop effective coping mechanisms to address your underlying issues. This comprehensive approach to recovery is the foundation of drug rehab.

One goal of family therapy is to provide a platform where members have a safe place to talk about the challenges that addiction has created in their lives. Using guided sessions, therapists help individual family members develop healthy communication skills and address unresolved issues between themselves to support their loved one's sobriety.

This place is a joke....a hole in the wall in the heart of the slums. I felt unfairly judged the moment I step foot into this dump. Rodger Ackerman used a police officers statement in a case that had nothing to do with the reason I was getting an assessment....as well as a case that got dropped and I was never convicted of...he lied to my probation officer and my attorney and told them I walked out, when infact he got flustered and threw his arms in the air and said "that's it, I'm done" and escorted me out of the building. It's all about the money to these people and if they can squeeze every penny from you they will try. I highly recommend looking for a more professional office than this place.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Roger Ackerman has given me the skills I have always needed (but didn t know I needed) to have a fulfilling positive life. When I had my intake with Roger I was scared, had a panic attack and couldn t stop crying. The process felt so overwhelming. At the beginning of my SUD group I was quiet, ashamed and really nervous. I doubted myself and was very passive because I hadn t yet acquired the skills to keep myself grounded in uncomfortable situations.Within a couple weeks Apple Valley Counseling felt like my home away from home. Everyone made me feel like I was part of a family. I opened up and really enjoyed going to group and meeting with Roger for 1:1s. While submitting a journal every day after group and writing everything down for my 1st - 4th steps, I ended up finding my passion for writing again.Roger believed in me when I didn t believe in myself and gave me skills I will use for the rest of my life. Because of Roger s guidance I now love my life and have become the person I always wanted to be - assertive, confident, empathetic and mindful.Thank you to everyone at Apple Valley Counseling for being so kind to me and everyone else who walks through your door.

Apple Valley Counseling is a great place for truck drivers to go if they have substance abuse issues and/or need to go through a SAP. I've worked with Bill for many years now and he has always provided prompt attention to those who need appointments and has been fair and reasonable in setting up Follow-Up programs for drivers who have made a one time mistake or for those who have addiction problems and want to get their lives straightened out. I've yet to have any of those drivers I've referred to Bill have negative things to say about the evaluation process or about their interactions. From an employer standpoint, Bill is our go-to guy for answers in regard to the Return to Duty process and responds quickly to our requests.
