About Another Chance Drug & Alcohol Rehab Center of Portland

Less than eight miles outside of Portland, you’ll find Another Chance Drug & Alcohol Rehab Center of Portland in Beaverton, Oregon. This Joint Commission-accredited treatment center welcomes adults seeking addiction and co-occurring disorder recovery. You can access multiple levels of outpatient care, including partial hospitalization, intensive, and standard outpatient programs. They accept multiple private insurers, including Aetna, BCBS Utah, Moda Health and United Healthcare.

You’ll benefit from many treatment best practices, including group and individual therapy, drug and alcohol screenings and recreational therapy. Their programs serve residents of the Pacific Northwest who don’t need 24/7 highly structured care. Still, you can live at home and receive immersive treatment with their high-intensity track.

What stands out most to me is their Loved One’s Education & Support Group. This 12-week program provides guidance and holistic care for you and your family. They recognize that addiction doesn’t just affect you but also your loved ones. They provide the tools and resources to rebuild relationships and learn more about recovery.

Your loved ones will benefit from their own therapeutic experience while learning to support you and themselves throughout this journey. I also really like the length of this program. With 12 weeks, your family will have plenty of time to reflect and grow while practicing essential skills.

Another incredible feature is their emphasis on trauma-informed care. They understand that traumatic experiences can play a significant role in your addiction and receptiveness to treatment. You’ll benefit from personalized care that accounts for trauma and helps you overcome these situations to sustain recovery.

An honorable mention is their compassionate aftercare services. You can preserve the connections and support you receive in treatment to stay on track in recovery. That way, you’ll have a solid support system as you transition to life after rehab.

There is nothing negative I can say about this place. There are always going to be bad reviews and good reviews. Most bad reviews are probably exacerbated in this kind of environment. These environments are extremely difficult to work in from a councilors perspective. From a patients perspective not only at this center but multiple others unfortunately. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have worked with multiple employees and for the most part. I can't complain about anything. I have been fortunate enough to be assigned to work with one of the best councilors. I don't usually name drop named but Carrie A is a God sent. I have worked with various counselors. However as far as acknowledging, caring, understand, providing resources, validating, relating, ECT... ECT... ECT... It has been nothing but a huge blessing to have someone like Carrie in my recovery corner. My recovery path hasn't been easy and I'm still working on things. Im still climbing the uphill path to recovery. I still have a way ahead of me. However I'm not falling as much. I'm now learning to rest and keep going. I didn't get here overnight. This has been a lot my time coming for me since I was about twelve years old when I started in my addiction. Now after being in the worst situation I have ever been in since I started. I'm finally in a better place and on track with the right direction then I have ever been. Especially with ith the ongoing support and direction.I haven't reached all of my goals but as far as so sobriety goes. It's night and day. Yes I'm putting the work in. However when you have someone who back you up and hasn't given up on you because of the holistic understand and experience In addition and mental health that correlates with it. Means more then anyone who just only has an education. not to say a education doesn't matter. However with only an education. I can only say based off my experience only a small percentage are able to stay in these jobs and are able to relate and help others so long and successfully. In this environment the ones who have the experience, maintain soberity, and are willing to help others succeed. In my book are valued as having at least a bachelors degree in this field. The ones who have the experience, maintain soberity, and are willing to help others succeed, with a bachelors are valued as having a masters in this field. A doctorate is rare and if so being able to relate with one might be a little disconnected. These are just my options.Anyway thank you another chance and a huge thank you to Carrie A.Matthew

Reached out every day this week starting Monday. No response from website and email inquiries and now it's Friday Called yesterday but whoever answered clearly didn't have time for me. He had no time to answer questions about the program. Just wanted to know if I was ready to enroll. Felt like a treatment money mill and obviously they are too busy to respond to people seeking help. I wouldn't waste my time as I won't further.

I just started coming to another chance and it's a great place. I'm getting lots of opportunities to add input in classes and I feel like I'm involved in every class which is a good thing. The facility is very nice and they even provide a lunch that is always really good. I'm just glad to be here,I definitely recommend it to others.

Accepted Insurance

Another Chance Drug & Alcohol Rehab Center of Portland works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements. Linden Oaks' Residential Stay Program offers additional support for those who may benefit from a structured living environment. A patient's stay may vary from a few days to 30 days ago. The program includes group, family and individual counseling.
outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities. This program provides half-day treatment (Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:15 am to 12:30 pm).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

I want to thank Another Chance Rehab. When I first arrived, I thought my problem was alcohol, but with the expertise of the counselors they offered me the tools to help me build myself esteem as well. They taught me that I am worthy of love and that I can be accepting of others offering me their love. I learned how to abstain from alcohol by the counselors teaching me how to recognize and be aware as to why I crave alcohol. Another Chance Rehab changed my life beyond belief and I'm so grateful for their grace, kindness, love and professional guidance. I would recommend Another Chance Rehab to my family, friends and acquaintances.

Another Chance is the first substance and alcohol treatment center I've been to before. I've learned so much. They have gotten to realize my worth as a human being. They have amazing staff that have helped me look at myself in a different way. Their perspective on situations even in my past have helped me look at my past in a better way. They are not just a drug treatment center but a life skill building treatment center. They have really saved my life.
