About ADAPT Programs – Manvel
ADAPT Programs’ Manvel site is a drug rehab program that specializes in providing outpatient substance abuse treatment to men and women. Their services are designed to meet the recovery needs of individuals with addiction, which is why it also offers mental health support and drug and alcohol educational classes. You'll find 'em in Manvel, Texas.
Their program provides different levels of outpatient care to its patients alongside mental health resources and drug and alcohol educational classes. They have an intensive track, a supportive outpatient program, and an adolescent outpatient program. These programs utilize 12 Step recovery methods alongside proven clinical treatment methods.
The adolescent outpatient program is only offered once weekly for an hour, while the other outpatient programs are provided twice weekly for three-hour sessions. In these sessions, clients should expect individual and group counseling.
This program also offers a drug and alcohol detox component for those who want to attend outpatient treatment but who need to detox from drugs or alcohol first. Those enrolled in detox should expect intensive counseling, substance abuse assessments, mental health support, medication-assisted treatment, and a range of aftercare services.
Most major insurance carriers are accepted, including Multiplan, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Cigna. To ensure you have coverage, speak with your provider, who can also confirm out-of-network benefits.

Levels of Care
Outpatient
If you or someone you know is seeking addiction treatment that fits comfortably into the rhythm of daily life, our Supportive Outpatient Program (SOP) offers similar content to the intensive outpatient services with less weekly time commitment. SOP is ideal for individuals who have successfully completed previous treatment programs, achieved sobriety for some period of time, and who are seeking ongoing support.
Intensive Outpatient
Prioritize recovery while keeping up with family obligations, work commitments, and school responsibilities with their Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The program requires a 10-hour weekly commitment and participants generally meet three times weekly for four-hour sessions with a trained specialist. The program includes individual counseling, family programs, group counseling, drug addiction education, 12-step integration, community resources, discharge planning, and relapse prevention groups.
Medically Assisted Detox
The Outpatient Detox Program offers outpatient treatment to adult patients by assisting individuals who are medically stable, willing and able to engage in concurrent treatment services to safety relieve the symptom, of withdrawals from substances of dependencies. This allows the client to remain with his or her family and the continuances of work while receiving treatment. The program will educate, treat, and develop the understanding of addiction and the recovery process for the individual and their support group to include family, friend, and peer groups. This is a 7 day a week program for a period of seven (7) to twenty-one (21) days to include medical monitoring, and group/individual counseling for a minimum of six (6) hours weekly after which the client will be moved immediately to ADAPT’S intensive outpatient counseling program. ADAPT’S detox program provides an alternative to inpatient hospital detoxification.
12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
Aftercare Support
Discharge Planning helps individuals return to daily life with the necessary tools to stay sober. Every discharge plan is carefully constructed and personalized to meet specific needs and circumstances. Relapse Prevention Groups are the first line of defense when relapse warning signs appear. Through personal interaction participants acquire strong coping skills to prevent a relapse and maintain sobriety.

Treatment
Alcoholism
The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.
Drug Addiction
During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.
Dual Diagnosis
Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
Mental Health and Substance Abuse
A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.
Clinical Services
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.
Family Therapy
Family Programs address the ripple effects of addiction and its impact on family life. Families receive addiction education courses and practice strategies to find both healing and recovery. Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment.
Group Therapy
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). Group Counseling is designed to build trust and compassion within a tightly knit community of peers. Participants will come to understand that they are not alone in addiction and don’t have to be alone in recovery.
Individual Therapy
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
Life Skills
Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.
Rational Behavior Therapy
Rational Behavior Therapy (RBT) is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy meant to be short-term and comprehensive. It was intended to help clients become more self-sufficent and move forward without the need for expensive, ongoing therapy. It includes an emotional self-help method called “rational self-counseling,” the purpose of which is to give clients all the skills needed to handle future emotional issues by themselves, or with significantly less professional help.
Trauma Therapy
Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.
