About Zinnia Health Lake Okeechobee

Zinnia Health’s Lake Okeechobee site offers inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment for adults in Pahokee, Florida. They also offer medically supervised detox and extensive aftercare support.

Their facilities include a gym and several relaxing outdoor spaces. The bedrooms are comfortable and come with a smart TV and PlayStation 4 for residents to unwind with after a long day of treatment. Nature walks and outdoor activities add some healthy relaxation.

Their treatment programs consist of three main pillars of care: detox, rehabilitation, and aftercare.

The detox stage typically lasts for 10-14 days for drug use and 5-7 days for alcohol use, but this can vary from person to person. This process focuses on removing substances from the body and teaching your body how to function without substances. Medications like methadone and naltrexone may be used to manage withdrawal symptoms and keep your body stable as it adjusts to a lack of substances.

During rehabilitation, treatment focuses on developing new life skills to stay sober. Whether in an outpatient or inpatient program, you’ll attend individual and group therapy sessions to develop these skills and get to the root of mental health concerns that contribute to substance use. They also offer experiential therapy modalities, like yoga, art therapy, and equine-assisted psychotherapy.

During aftercare planning, the team will work with you to outline actionable steps that help you stay sober. They’ll help connect you to alumni support groups and sober housing if needed.

Something I liked about Zinnia Health is that they help people seek out treatment for their loved ones. They provide tailored support for anyone affected by a loved one’s substance use, including intervention services and support through the admission process.

Absolutely loved it here. The techs are great the group facilitators Dustin manny Andrew will teach you so much and really help you get through what you re going through. Bryan the chef is especially great, without him I would not have been able to stay there due to my extremely small diet. He made me food specifically for me, every single day, every single lunch and dinner. He is very nice and made me feel better quite often.

Accepted Insurance

Zinnia Health Lake Okeechobee works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements. Linden Oaks' Residential Stay Program offers additional support for those who may benefit from a structured living environment. A patient's stay may vary from a few days to 30 days ago. The program includes group, family and individual counseling.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities. This program provides half-day treatment (Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:15 am to 12:30 pm).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs are a collection of highly individualized services designed to promote long-term recovery. These services evolve as your needs change. Case managers and recovery teams typically begin formulating the rehab aftercare service plan early in the recovery process to facilitate your reintegration back into the home, workplace, and community.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
Often referred to as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers an intensive treatment option that allows individuals to return home at night. PHP treatment typically requires a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. Participants attend daily therapeutic sessions, receive medication management, and have access to skilled medical professionals. While costs can vary, most insurance will fully or partially cover a partial hospitalization program.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Florida is an essential part of treatment, particularly with medical detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, and supervised detox provides around the clock access to medical professionals who can adminsiter proper medications and treatment to address these symptoms and step in should an emergency occur. This intensive clinical care will help curb the withdrawal effects, minimize substance dependence, and prepare you for the next step of treatment.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
The first step of the recovery process involves the removal of all drugs and alcohol from your system while under 24/7 medical supervision. Known as a medically assisted detox, you are closely monitored by medical staff who can provide medications, if necessary, to help alleviate any potential withdrawal symptoms. Medical detox is usually followed by a period of inpatient addiction treatment.

Clinical Services

Group therapy provides a safe and supportive environment for people in Florida who are struggling with drug addiction. There you can openly discuss the challenges and progress you're making without fear of judgment from your peers who experience many of the same things you are.

Individual therapy often includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This is a structured approach to identifying and changing negative thought patterns. During therapy you learn how what you think drives your actions so you can develop healthier coping strategies to manage addiction triggers and reduce drug use.

Trauma therapy helps you work through the psychological impact that traumatic events have had on your life. Your therapist helps you identify the physical, emotional, and mental triggers and develop coping mechanisms. This helps rebuild a sense of safety and trust in yourself and others.

During family therapy sessions, you navigate the complexities of addiction and are provided tools to help improve communication and resolve conflicts. When you work together, families can better support their loved one's recovery and restore balance and harmony within the household.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place! I have become someone I never knew I could be, I have never felt the way I do about myself in my 34 years of life, I came in for mental health issues that I have dealt with since a young child and I never would have imagined feeling the way I do in such a short period of time. Barbara, Manny, and Mike are a dream team and went above and beyond for me and really listen to what I was going through to really get the best results for my care, Dustin, Sigridua, and Allan are also amazing people and really push for the true most inner beauty, the Techs are all so kind, supportive, and helpful, Brian the chef is amazing and always aiming to please, Vanessa always had something fun for us to do on our down time. Zinnia has changed my life and I am so grateful I took this step to get happier and healthier for myself! I would recommend Zinnia to anyone looking for help within themselves!

I ve been at zinnia health for 23 days and it s not only saved my life but changed my entire outlook on how addiction and recovery should be. I ve struggled with addictions for many years of my life along with severe mental health problems and they ve not only helped me learn healthy coping skills but also learn how to be a productive member of society. My biggest challenge was accepting help and support but I ve learned how to not only deal with my problems but deal with life as a whole. I hope anyone who is able to come here and get the help they need does, they listen and do go on fun outings so you re not cooped up behind four walls. Staff is very helpful and always there to keep you safe and healthy. Chef Bryan cooks some of the most filling and delicious meals. I hope anyone considering this place doesn t think twice about it and puts in the effort and work to come here. I ve never been more appreciative of a place/rehab facility before but I am appreciative of dignity health. I love this place and I wouldn t ask for anything different. Thank you dignity healing for everything you ve done to build the foundation for me.

I thought that I was literally at what I thought was the worst day of my life, and what I thought was bad turned out to be the best day of my life!! The people that I came in contact with seen me at my worst and loved me anyway. There was no judgement and no belittling, they were here for me for all the right reasons. All the techs, and counselor s listen to what I had to say with no interruption . I can truly say that if I had not meet the people at this facility I wouldn t be alive today!
