I was a client at Vista Pines 3 different times! 3rd times a charm;) Ironically many of us call Vista the Magical $h!t Show bc so many of us myself included come to there in desperate need of help & healing! We come to Vista w/our bags of metaphoric $h!t that we need to unpack! In the unpacking process there is a lot of Show aka acting out and breakdowns that take place before the healing can! But one of the things that makes Vista exceptional Aka Magical is the devotion of the employees including the: techs, therapists, group facilitators, nursing dept, catering team, even the admin team over the phone. The other thing & to me the most important thing that makes Vista so exceptional & Magical is the clients!!! I don t know if it s the admin team or it s a HP or both?! But the community bond is like none I experienced at any other rehab program anywhere! When we weren t in groups we were basically either laughing or crying! Either way major healing was taking place! & on my last visit when my case manager told me my insurance company said I needed to go to PHP elsewhere; I cried like a baby bc I didn t want to leave such an awesome program!!! I know how hard it is to find decent programs let alone great programs of that caliber! If you are in need of healing I highly recommend Vista Pines!A few of my favs, I hope are still there when you go: Melissa, Brook, Berta, Alex, & Janine! I know I left out so many like frm the kitchen & nursing crew as well techs, even housekeeping & maintenance!I wish you the best on your journey One day at a time & GpsKind Regards, Fer Jennifer

The staff might have some rules that don't match your interest, such a limited phone calls/one on one sessions with a therapist. I believe the most therapy happens within the group. You meet people and hear their stories. Some can relate to your story, some have better/worse lives/situations you're going through. Take advantage of the opportunities and the activities. Berta is my favorite. Her story touched my heart. The staff isn't trying to control your life or brainwash you they're literally trying to get you sober and get you to the next chapter in your life. Personally I've done drugs & alcohol since I was 14. It took me two tries. The first time I lasted 27 days and relapsed after coming home. Last year I went back and surrendered my will and now I've been sober since September 21, 2022. Thank you, Berta, Ms. P, Abraham, Brooke and Lexi, and Cat.

Accepted Insurance

Vista Pines Health works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Eating disorders include anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and dysfunctional eating patterns. Many psychologists and other mental health professionals consider eating disorders to be food addictions, meaning food is being used in an addictive way (similar to drug or alcohol addiction). Certain substance abuse treatment programs will have treatment for eating disorders as one of the services offered. An eating disorder may also present as a co-occuring disorder or dual diagnosis alongside drug and alcohol addiction.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

I would say that my experience at Vistapines was all over all good. it was my first time in treatment, and i d say that i learned a lot from Vistapines. I absorbed as much as i could and applied it to my everyday life while being there. i saw a lot of progress within myself. Though, I do wish that the place would focus a little more on mental health, i feel like as a person who s only dealing with mental health I learned more about substance use which isn t bad but I had a hard time relating sometimes. Though, other than that everyone was respectful, the staff did their best and taking care of everyone. Many of the groups were helpful and entertaining. I had a great time there.

Allysa was my therapist. She was good at helping me opening up getting to the source of my problems! She was a chill chicken! Berta was the real deal! Wasn't afraid to ask the hard questions and called you out in a good way! She definitely held you accountable and I liked that! Nurses and techs and kitchen staff were amazing and made you feel like family! They made my stay very pleasant! Clint the person that helped with intake and release was cool as all hell! He helped set me up with a great IOP. I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR THESE PEOPLE!!! I am still sober and working the steps. My only grevince is some other clients were difficult to be around and some drama came from that! That's the reason why I gave the 4 star rating.

The staff at Vista Pines were incredibly helpful and I feel as if I ll carry the knowledge that everyone from the Techs, Clinical team, CCCs, and therapists instilled in me at my time there. Joe, Shannon, Drew, Chad, Billy, Ms Debbie, Marcus, Abraham and Alyssa are just a few of the great staff members that helped me complete the program and I m sure they will continue to guide other individuals in their road to recover
