Being I'm from Anoka, after leaving Stearns county, I felt very "at home" at the Transformation House. The step down program is wonderful for those who have no home to go back to while in their recovery journey. Dr.Patrick Dixon, I've kept though my recovery journey. Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs provide robust, wraparound care for clients who have completed detox and/or intensive inpatient rehab. Their services may vary widely, but typically include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, 12 step program induction, career counseling, and related community reintegration services. The client's case manager and recovery team coordinates with the client to identify the rehab aftercare services they need to promote their sustained sobriety.
12-step icon12-Step
12 step programs support long-term recovery through personal growth. Participants are expected to regularly attend 12 step meetings, which are free, anonymous, and accessible 365 days per year in most communities. They are also mentored by self-selected sponsors who help guide them through the steps of recovery, which are rooted in spiritual principles and designed to foster self-awareness, forgiveness, accountability, and acceptance. Religious affiliation is not required and specialized formats, including age and gender specific meetings, are available.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
To provide an environment that encourages sobriety, a sober living home in Minnesota enforces strict rules. Residents must abstain from substance use, participate in support meetings and chores, abide by a set curfew, respect their housemates, and home staff, and agree to random drug tests. As long as they abide by the halfway house rules, residents are welcome to live in the home as long as they wish. Most stay at least 90 days.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
A drug intervention in Minnesota is a planned effort to persuade an individual to quit using drugs or to enter a treatment program. The intervention may be led by a specialist provided by rehab intervention services. This interventionist should have training in addiction treatment and experience in the mental health profession. Their expertise can prove invaluable in leading the intervention discussion and guiding the family in appropriate next steps.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
When individuals first enter rehab, they may be malnourished due to substance use. They may also suffer from illness, organ damage, or other medical issues. 24-hour clinical care in Minnesota provides on-call staff who can monitor these conditions and provide appropriate treatment 24/7. This setting helps individuals who need substance use disorder treatment get the physical as well as psychological support they need.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug addiction is defined as an inability to stop using drugs even though it causes negative consequences in your life. Drug rehab in Minnesota provides treatment for drug addiction in a variety of settings including inpatient treatment and outpatient treatment.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Therapists often use cognitive behavioral therapy in Minnesota to treat substance use disorders because it can help clients quickly identify challenges and ways to cope with them. Its structured, specific methods require fewer sessions than other types of therapy.

Dialectical behavior therapy focuses on four skills: emotional regulation, mindfulness, acceptance and distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Treatment involves individual sessions, as well as group sessions where you can start applying the skills you learn.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Qualified therapists in Minnesota offer individual therapy to men and women so they can receive customized care tailored to their needs. Your therapist works to understand your unique circumstances and provide you with targeted interventions and coping skills essential for long term recovery.

When conducting motivational interviewing in Minnesota, the interviewer encourages clients to discuss their reasons for making changes and their need for change in their lives. The interviewer's role is to listen and reflect, to evoke conversation about commitment to change.

Trauma therapy helps you understand and manage your mental, emotional, and physical responses to trauma. Using therapeutic interventions, you learn to reframe the experience, which in turn reduces your anxiety and helps you regain control over your life.

Couples therapy in Minnesota can help you understand yourself and your partner better and identify the issues causing stress in the relationship. From finances to addiction to children, you'll learn skills to deal with various stressors and strengthen your relationship.

Families in Minnesota use family therapy to understand the roles they play in addiction. Each member plays a role and contributes to a pattern of behavior. Families learn to interact in healthier ways that support each other and contribute to their loved one's journey to recovery.

For a successful recovery, life skills training is key. That's why rehab programs in Minnesota include training in social skills, self care, time management, financial management, and other daily life skills. By growing in these areas, you'll gain tools that allow you to navigate challenges and avoid relapse.

Nicotine replacement therapy in Minnesota addresses physical dependence on nicotine. Paired with support systems to address the psychological aspects of dependence, they can be an effective tool to help you quit smoking. Options include nasal sprays, inhalers, gum, and lozenges.

Accreditations

State Licenses are permits issued by government agencies that allow rehab organizations to conduct business legally within a certain geographical area. Typically, the kind of program a rehab facility offers, along with its physical location, determines which licenses are required to operate legally.

Zero Stars!! I went to Transformation House, after 30 days of inpatient treatment at a different Recovery inpatient location in the twin cities. Once at Transformation House, I spent a month and a half in the inpatient building A, then went to the outpatient program next door in building B. Both buildings were incredibly dirty. There were a couple good counselors and I learned from my peers during group work, but this place is really terrible run, and I think unsafe. The food was near rotten. The kitchen was atrocious. There is no cook. Clients take turns cooking food out of what s in the refrigerator and cupboards, which is so rotten sometimes, that while I was there, main person in charge of filling the pantry, was so frustrated, she just up and quit. The worst is that when I decided to transfer to another center, I told Transformation House, I be coming for my things around noon. I had been living there for 2 1/2 months. The manager there, decided to just throw my things in boxes and bags, and set out on the parking lot, where the garbage is. I lost over $1200 of property in 2 1/2 hours. When I called the police, they disregarded my report and concern, when I told them the location. He said, what do you expect? .Zero Stars for the Fridley police department on this one.

Black mold in the basement maintenance just paints over it people running out of medication taking forever to get refillsThe therapist is good and the doctor they use is also good but both have nothing to do with the place you can use them on your own without suffering through all the messed up things that you deal with if you go to treatment hereIf upper management didnt call us all filthy crackheads and look down on you as if your less then this place would be ok

Response from the owner1 year ago
Dear Joseph, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience with our facility. We appreciate your input, although we are concerned about the inaccuracies presented in your review. Regarding medication refills, we prioritize the timely and efficient delivery of medications to our clients. Our dedicated staff works diligently to ensure that prescriptions are filled promptly, taking into account various factors such as prescription approvals, insurance coverage, availability, and coordination with external pharmacies. However, we have thoroughly reviewed our records, and we have not found any evidence of significant delays in medication refills during the period corresponding to your review. Regarding your statement about management speaking down to clients, we deeply value respect and dignity in our interactions with all individuals in our care. Our management team is trained to maintain a compassionate and professional approach when addressing concerns or enforcing facility rules. We believe in fostering a supportive and nurturing environment while also holding our clients accountable for respecting facility rules and meeting program expectations. This approach helps create a safe and conducive space for everyone's well-being and progress. We understand that living in a structured environment with rules and expectations can sometimes be challenging. However, it is essential to maintain a balance between individual autonomy and collective responsibility. Our facility rules are in place to ensure the safety, security, and overall effectiveness of ourprogram. We work diligently to communicate these rules and expectations clearly to all residents and provide support and guidance to help them meet the program requirements. Additionally, we would like to address the false accusation regarding the presence of mold in our bathrooms. The health and safety of our clients are of utmost importance to us, and we maintain rigorous cleanliness standards throughout our facility. Our bathrooms undergo regular inspections and cleaning protocols to ensure a hygienic environment. In fact, we recently underwent a routine inspection conducted by the Department of Health just a few weeks ago, and we are pleased to inform you that we successfully passed the inspection. This serves as a testament to our commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy facility for our clients. We take all reports and concerns about the condition of our facility seriously. However, our records indicate that there have been no recent reports or substantiated cases of mold in the bathrooms. Nevertheless, we will further investigate the matter to ensure there are no overlooked maintenance issues. If you have any specific information or evidence regarding the presence of mold, we kindly request that you provide it to us so that we can address the issue promptly and thoroughly. Our priority is to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for everyone in our care. We apologize if there was any misunderstanding or if you felt disrespected in any way. Our goal is to foster an environment of mutual respect and understanding. We encourage open and honest communication between our staff and clients to address any concerns or issues that may arise. We appreciate your feedback as it allows us to continually improve our services and ensure the satisfaction of all our clients. If you have any specific concerns or would like to discuss your experience further, we encourage you to reach out to our customer care team at info@transformationhouse.com. We are committed to addressing your concerns and working towards a resolution. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Sincerely, Transformation House Inc.

Where to start .. ok let s start with intake. First off they rush the process, don t tell you even the most basic of rules, for me it was like the tech staff were just too busy to really even care. Yet the second I broke an unknown rule they were jumping down my throat. Some rules are enforced but most seem bendable depending on who is working. There isn t really any consistency. They pick favorites. Some women had to do their chores and got a lot of pushback if they didn t, others either lied to get out of them, refused to do them, or just signed off that they were done when they never did. With that said the place is absolutely disgusting. They don t believe in air conditioning so no matter the temp outside it s always a balmy 80 degrees. You re not allowed to put the ac (which didn t work anyhow) below 70. Passes: during the week you re only allowed to leave on pass for recovery related things. Unless of course you re a favored one then you just lie and say you re going to a meeting and go hang out with your boyfriend all day. One girl didn t even have to lie she just straight up told them she was going with her boyfriend and they didn t care. For me I had to beg to even leave for primary care appointments, tobacco store, library. They have a point system so if you attend all groups and do your chores each day you get to go to a fun outing like the movies or the beach. But they decided to stop doing that so there is literally no reason to do chores and the place just gets all the more nasty and disgusting. If your lucky enough to get an awesome counselor (there s only one her name is Tara if you get any other GOOD LUCK!) then you may learn some things and feel good about your progress. Others ridicule girls about how much makeup they wear (this girl there literally cried because her counselor wouldn t leave her alone about this), same counselor put a patient at high risk for insurance reasons when she had a cps case but didn t give a damn that this effected what THEY thought. She also would say things in her reports that she was only passively participating in group. I promise you that girl was all about her recovery and probably participated more than anyone else. All in all I would strongly suggest looking into other programs. If you want a clean environment, fair shot at being treated equally, and want to maintain your sanity and body temp in the summer months .. proceed with extreme caution.

Management and Counselors discriminate. Have been reported to Health and Human Services. Cannot get Meds straight and leave clients WITHOUT needed medication. The Management has no compassion for people's needs and emotional well-being. DO NOT GO THERE if you are a white man needing help. Christian, I left 2 messages with Ashley. No callback. I left 1 message with Carrie no callback. I sent 2 emails with no response. 1 minute after your response my partner got a call from his Therapist and she discontinued his care. We can now add retaliation to the list
