About Santa Rosa Treatment Program

Our Outpatient program treats addiction utilizing Medicated Assisted Treatment, One-on-one Counseling and outside referrals. Medication assisted treatment involves the administration of medication daily at our treatment facility. Our program is an excellent choice for individuals who have found abstinence based treatment to be ineffective.

About Us:

Here at Santa Rosa Treatment Program, our highly trained and certified professional staff takes the time that is needed to help opiate dependent individuals achieve sobriety and regain stability in their day to day life. SRTP is are an outpatient program providing Medication assisted treatment and comprehensive counseling support. Our program is an excellent choice for individuals who have found abstinence based treatment to be ineffective or for those who are unable to take time away from home and work for inpatient treatment.

Our Philosophy:

Drug addiction is a complicated and chronic disease which impacts the afflicted individual in every domain of his or her life. Opiate addiction is highly destructive due to it being a chronic brain disorder and especially resistant to abstinence based treatment. Research has demonstrated the most effective treatment for opiate addiction is a combination of opiate replacement therapy, one-on-one counseling and social support. Through medication assisted treatment we aim to reduce the negative consequences of opiate addiction.

Medication-Assisted Treatment:

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is the use of medications along with counseling and therapy to treat substance abuse. MAT is mainly used to treat opioid addictions (i.e. heroin and/or prescription drugs like OxyContin or Vicodin). Medications like buprenorphine are used in MAT to help normalize brain chemistry, block the effects of alcohol and/or opioids, relieve cravings, and stabilize body functions, making sobriety easier to maintain. All medications used are approved by the FDA, and every MAT program is tailored to the patient’s specific needs.

Methadone Maintenance Treatment (MMT):

Methadone maintenance or ORT (Opiate Replacement Therapy) is the use of methadone as a substitute for someone who is addicted to opioids (heroin, OxyContin, codeine, Dilaudid, Percocet and others), helping with the recovery process reducing the cravings for the opioids or used as part of the admittance process to a substance abuse treatment facility that requires complete abstinence.

This is In reference to Gina Hernandez (a methadone treatment pregnancy counselor ) with no business being a counselor for pregnant women in recovery. This woman made my recovery whilePregnant TRAUMATIZING. The way thisWoman spoke to me or shall I say counseled me condescending and cruel. She told me I had no emotion because I didn t break down infront ofHer (a complete stranger) instead id sitIn my car in the parking lot crying and hyperventilating after seeing her every week. After being clean for8 months she told my obgyn I didn t have the tools to remain sober and that I was using my methadone dose to get high. SRTP wouldn t even letMe have my drug test records to prove my sobriety! I immediately left SANTA ROSA TREATMENT PROGRAM after that. I couldn t handle the negativity from Gina and I knew ifI wanted to succeed I had to get far away from her and her unprofessional cruel guidance I moved to Marin and started treatment there. You see my first pregnancy was aGreat experience I had an incredible drug counselor at REDWOOD EMPIRE ADDICTION PROGRAM her nameWas Sandy. She gave me hope and motivation she hands down gave meThe tools to be a sober devoted mother.6 years later I became pregnant again but made the worst choice by going to SANTA ROSA TREATMENT PROGRAMI hope my review helps someone pregnant in the same situation. I m happy to explain further and help anyone in need !

I work nearby at the County Admin area. During lunch one day, I had a reaction to medication I was taking. I was on my lunch time walk past this place. I needed immediate restroom visit. I noticed the door was open. I walked in and saw two women standing inside. It was obvious they were staff members. I asked if I could use the restroom. One of the women immediately just said no and directed me to the gas station across the street. Although I understand as indigent (homeless) may camp out and bring their problems inside, she was a bit CROSS and unapologetic. As this is either a publicly funded or per charity, I suggest:(1) Learn to be kinder.(2) Post a sign that says NO REROOM FOR THE PUBLIC.(3) Remove the "WELCOME We're Glad You Are Here!" sign. It doesn't apply.Thank you.

Accepted Insurance

Santa Rosa Treatment Program works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) support a client's sustained sobriety as they exit detox or step down from an inpatient program. IOPs are also designed for clients who are at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in a minimum of nine hours of therapy per week, but clients may receive up to 20 therapeutic hours weekly. IOP treatment modalities often combine psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

For clients who are struggling with ambivalence toward change, motivational interviewing in California can help strengthen their commitment to change. Using a conversational method, the therapist helps you explore your motivations and empowers you to make the changes you desire.

Trauma therapy is a structured approach used by therapists to help you heal from a past traumatic event. Your therapist works with you to identify the traumatic memory and process the information so you experience emotional healing and a sense of safety and stability.

Without a doubt, SRTP is 1 of the 3 reasons I have been clean for a long time now. Without their counseling aswell as the way I have been treated by the desk staff and the nurses, it has been amazing. Without Santa Rosa Treatment Program it's crazy to think about what would have happened and where I'd be, especially as a father. If I didn't receive the treatment that I do at SRTP I most certainly would not have been able to keep clean. Sometimes, it's important to stick with the treatment from everyone there, even the staff you think is wrong at the time. They're there to help you reach the area that's best for you, not for them. I guess what I can say is that SRTP is an amazing place to go for the treatment they give, but also for the way that the staff acts while doing so. As addicts we're incredibly lucky to have all the staff at SRTP be part of the process of keeping clean. There's also the fact that if you get and stay clean for some time, you begin to get take home doses so you don't have to deal with the staff every day. Nor do they have to see you, which may be solving any issues. Keep up doing what's best for you to keep taking steps forward and they're behind you as you go. THANK YOU Santa Rosa Treatment Program!!! Is the very least I could say.

I am just so grateful to have been able to come to this safe space to get clean and stay clean. Not only do I have such a wonderful counselor but the entire staff there has become like a family in a way. My journey here will be coming to an end soon enough as I have started to taper and I feel as though I have survived my opiate addiction. It's nice to know I will always be supported here. Shout out to Josie and Robin for helping me stand when I couldn't. I am forever grateful. Thank you srtp for everything.

Terrible Place

DAAC just down the street is 100% better and has no rude worker only super sweet people. I swear the desk people at SRTP are angry that they re still working a front desk at 50 years old and take it out on every patient walking in. They make a mistake on their end and get angry like it s my fault. Don t get angry at your customers because you suck at your job. But that s not our problem. We are addicts already going through a hard time. You guys need to be more compassionate and understanding with patients. Which is the complete opposite. Require a little extra time and have questions? Get ready for huffs and puffs and sighs that make you feel like you re being a burden to them. Save yourself the stress and go to DAAC 60 seconds down the street. This place should be shut down! Let me put it this way. I would rather pay cash at DAAC than EVER set foot back in SRTP. If that doesn t tell you enough I m not sure what does.
