This is the best ADU (crisis residential program) in San Francisco and a gem of the public mental health system in The City. Very client centered, veteran staff, many of whom have worked here for many years... They prioritize client needs and the client's experience, and safety. Well maintained, clean, beautiful facility. Bilingual program, signs are in English and Spanish and groups are interpreted for Spanish only speakers. This is a social model program, like the other ADUs in San Francisco. There are multiple therapeutic groups per day, counseling, referral to case management or other services in San Francisco, and meals included. You're allowed to leave the facility to attend to errands, appointments, or outside support after an initial "orientation" period. They will help set you up with whatever resources you may need.At LEAST three employees still work here (it's April 2024, my last visit was in 2012). Call Dore Urgent Care Clinic or speak to a case manager for referral.Typical length of stay: Two weeks, possible referral to longer term residential treatment.Medicare and/or Medi-Cal, Healthy San Francisco, no insurance, Kaiser accepted. Sliding scale, small program fee depending on ability to pay.

i have been to several other treatment centers and also worked for a few as a tech and supervisor... when i came here i expected the same thing but was shocked to learn of things i have never heard of that actually helped me to stay sober. ACTUAL TOOLS I CAN PULL OUT AND USE WHEN TRIGGERED. i have been promised this several times but never have i ever actually been given actual coping skills. the lady who teaches DBT is a god send... her classes are powerful and she gives clients things to practice that for me have actually work. my therapist has pulled things out of me that i never thought i had the strength to share with another human which lead to an ultimate surrender and peace i have never known. the case managers are rock solid and make me feel seen heard and cared for. Banyon was the last house on the block for me.... I had burned everything down and expected to get clean and sober the same way i had tried 20 previous times but the staff and the group of men and women that were there with me literally saved my life. i HIGHLY recommend this treatment center. im writing this review with hopes that someone who has never been to treatment before will see this and let Banyon palm springs be there first and last... i Pray you dont have to do this as many times as i have had to do or burn everything down like i have. please give these people and honest shot cause they care and are the best i have ever seen in this field. If they can help me....a hope to die junkie/drunk... then they can help anybody (if you just follow and trust what they tell you)thank you Banyon.... you have given me the tools to be happy no matter what life throws my way

Although I wonder what the official job title and description is (Of Veteran Case Managers or anyone assigned a potential influence over my fate) ...and what freedoms they are given to recommend a vet to, say, a place they know the vet won't fit in......we all know when someone bears you Ill will, and when it's those assigned to your care, however minor, it Instills distrust in our institutions.

A VERY nice detox center. The staff here are some of the most knowledgeable and caring individuals you'll ever meet. They'll go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The single rooms you stay in each have their own individual bathroom. Their is plenty of food to snack on with healthy options and just enough comfort food to make you feel at home. If you're looking for a comfy rehab with an intimate group setting to talk through your deeply routed issues that got you there in the first place, I can't recommend this place enough. Honestly, I could go on for hours about how incredible of a detox center this is, but you get the gist. I just want to give a big thanks to Jax, Tony, and Jake, who have all been a huge part of my recovery, and who have each shown me that my life in recovery is more than worth fighting for. Much love!

    Lania Dumdumaya
Although, the program didn t work out for me due to my need for dual diagnosis, I still think it s a great program. The staff are caring and patient. There are a lot of rules with strict consequences but it ll help provide the structure and discipline you need. The work program can be a bit overwhelming but it ll take time to get used to. You wake up at 5am weekdays and 6am on weekends. There is 8 hour shifts/5days a week in which you receive a small gratuity. The food is wonderful and the home is beautiful, well kept and clean. You are required to sign over your EBT benefits to them but they provide plenty of good food and you ll easily gain healthy weight in no time. Shoutout to Courtney for being so patient and kind and Sabrina as well. The Filipino woman that answers the phone is extremely judgmental and rude. She questioned whether I was real woman because my chest is very small. Horrible feeling and it definitely didn t give me a great start to things at all. They provide transportation to and from work and well as lunches you pack yourself at the house. You re not allowed to smoke at work but get plenty of free time to smoke at the house. The showers/bathrooms are awesome. Bed are comfy and blankets nice and warm. It s two people to a room but it s spacious with plenty of storage. Curfew is 9 and lights out at 10pm. You get coffee in the morning and at work. There are plenty of books and movies to pass the time. Most clients or beneficiaries are court ordered. My only hang up is that it isn t dual diagnosis so there is no mental health services at all and that religion is forced on you from the beginning. You must dress, act, sit and follow all of the captains commands to a T or there will be consequences. If you don t mind the religious aspect then overall it s a wonderful program. They have aftercare resources once you graduate as well. Thank you for my time there! I was difficult without the mental health resources but still think very highly of them. They made sure I was taken care of and even provided a jacket when I left. You ll get plenty of good clothes while you are there that you return if you don t graduate. Tons of snacks! Only other thing is that they could possible cut down the shifts to 5 hours in order to allow for meetings and classes from more trained professionals without taking away from the limited free time after work. You will be closely monitored but lead well by your peer mentor for the first 30 days. Captain is a bit intense kind of with expectations but is still kind and caring

How Much Does Drug Rehab Cost in San Francisco?

San Francisco is the 9th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $64840. This is higher than the average cost of $56654 for addiction treatment in California and higher than the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.

The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in San Francisco vary widely and depend on several factors, including:

Comparing the Cost of Rehab in San Francisco

The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.

These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
