About Pyramid Healthcare Dallas Detox and Residential Treatment Center

Pyramid Healthcare Dallas Detox and Residential Treatment Center in Dallas, Pennsylvania. It’s a detox and residential treatment facility that can provide your crucial first step in recovery. Medical detox uses FDA approved prescription drugs to reduce the effects of withdrawal from alcohol and drugs. It's also used in ongoing treatment to reduce cravings and the potential for overdose.

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is part of a comprehensive approach to recovery and not a standalone service. It’s offered alongside evidence-based addiction treatment including cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. Your customized program may include these therapies in individual and group settings.

The residential treatment track is ideal when you’re looking for long-term recovery from drug and alcohol addiction in a supportive environment. They provide 24/7 care that includes individual and group therapy, life skills training, and holistic approaches to your recovery.

Residential treatment ensures you can focus on your therapy in a distraction free environment. They also offer holistic therapies including mindfulness, yoga, music therapy, creative writing, and creative expression. These offer the opportunity to express yourself in nonverbal ways, helping you to address the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of addiction. There’s also evidence-based psychoeducation so you have the knowledge and tools necessary to understand your addiction and are empowered to make informed decisions about your recovery.

They have a criminality program that runs for four weeks. It addresses the behavioral and emotional aspects of substance abuse and criminal thinking.

Their aftercare planning services ensure that when you leave treatment you have a customized plan that will support your sobriety and long-term recovery. Case management ensures you can navigate the complexities of community reintegration and have the resources to transition through your treatment stages.

They accept insurance payments and will verify your coverage before beginning treatment. They also accept out-of-network benefits from insurance companies and are part of the Veterans Affairs Community Care Network, giving veterans convenient access to behavioral healthcare treatment.

haven't heard from my boyfriend in 11 days After 11 days of getting no response from nobody no emails no messages no calls I'm done. I went to the Scranton police station yesterday to file a report they advised me to call my state representative Monday to file a complaint my boyfriend has been in pyramid every month for the past 7 months and they've always talked to me now all of a sudden nobody answers calls nobody answers your messages that you leave and they don't even read or acknowledge and reply back to your emails I want to know if he's safe he has left me a text message that he was going to kill himself and haven't heard from him since April d he also has heart condition and other problems too so it your facility has any kind of compassion for me and my family to know that he is safe it's the least you could do if I do get some kind of resolution here I will be filing a complaint you violated my rights you took him to the hospital when he was having heart problems you never notified me I'm his emergency contact he signed the papers to release any information to me Christine Benzeleski I'm very disappointed in this place you're just out for the money I was told by my boyfriend how you treat people you lock them in the rooms you feed them bird food how bad the public bathroom is for everybody to use it's disgusting the floors are felt from wall to wall and you talk to them like they're criminals. I was at the police station yesterday the officer tried to call pyramid and couldn't get through either he said it's a joke that you can't even get a hold of anybody the number they give you to call is Florida seriously we're in Pennsylvania and they hung up on the officer. So we got East Stroudsburg number and Dallas's number and no answer we were both in shock. Now I'm going to take the advice from the Scranton Police Departmen and contactt my state representative and if I have to get a lawyer for you violating my rights I will.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The nurses kept telling me my BP was low and I explained that I do a lot of cardio so I have a natural tendency to have my BP and heart rate run low. They called EMT's there after threatening to Narcan me because I struggled with staying awake after already being up for about 22 hours and sitting in the same chair for 4 hours. Being on methadone, I was furious. Don't threaten to narcan someone that is awake, alert and able to hold a full conversation. Even the EMT told the nurses they didn't think I was impaired at all and that people who do a lot of cardio are prone to lower vitals. After still trying to force me to go to the ER, when the EMT's clearly stated they didn't think that was necessary....I left. I would rather deal with more competent nursing and staff members elsewhere than go to the ER unnecessarily, taking time from patients that actually do need emergency assistance. My recommendation? There are more than half a dozen other places within a 100 mile radius.

Spent 80 days at Dallas, I'm currently 7 months clean. There is , of course, room for improvement but Pyramid helped me. Most of the techs are amazing, and go out of their way to help you. Also, made some great friends at Dallas. UPDATE - Still sober and doing well- 10/17/24.

Accepted Insurance

Pyramid Healthcare Dallas Detox and Residential Treatment Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
A medical detox is the safest way to wean your body off drugs and/or alcohol in an inpatient setting. When detoxing from addictive substances, the physical and psychological side effects of withdrawal can cause mood swings, anxiety, nausea, or flu-like symptoms. In medically assisted detox, a team of medical professionals are on hand 24/7 to help alleviate potential withdrawal symptoms, administer medications to alleviate withdrawal symptoms, and ultimately keep you safe and comfortable throughout this process.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients receiving services from a rehab aftercare program are usually stable and in the maintenance phase of recovery, having completed detox and/or intensive inpatient treatment. Rehab aftercare services can vary widely based on clients' individual and evolving needs, but often include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, 12 step program induction, and medical, mental health, and social service referrals. Individual care plans are typically developed by the client in partnership with their case manager and care team.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Incorporating recreational therapy into drug and alcohol addiction programs in Pennsylvania helps you rebuild your life and maintain sobriety by discovering new interests and developing healthy coping mechanisms. Recreational activities can include painting, team sports, and hiking to promote physical and mental health.

Im here to inform previous reviewers and newer readers and commenters that this place is going down. Far from how a detox rehab should be. I have a lawyer working with me and few others that attended and recorded evidence of the unprofessionalism and ridiculous way this place runs. This is the most unprofessional, money hungry, disease ridden facility I have ever experienced! The health department had to contact me 3 months after my stay at this facility to inform me I had tested positive for TB! DO NOT GO, or send a LOVEd on to this place! Our tax dollars fund this institution! It needs to be shut down immediately! You can only get an answer if you call admissions! SHUT IT DOWN!!!
