I went home today after my stay at Huntington Creek Recovery Center and my goodness Wow, just Wow. It didn't feel like a prison like the other 2 I've been to. The level of trust and respect there made me feel like a human, not just another insurance payment. From the day I entered, the spiritual presence was in the room, and I was struggling with that. Nearly all the staff had an experience to relate to, I was heard and they understood me. What an incredible way to help people like me find our way to recovery. I even learned to play some piano and guitar. Life is doable again, but it's so much more now. Thank you to everyone at HCRC may God continue to Bless you all.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PLACE! I started @ miners, then moved to Erie and transferred to a clinic there which they were amazing too but now back to this area and I just started at WBCTC and it s awesome. There was no hassle no constant mix ups like @ miners, there wasn t 200 people at the door 1 hour before opening, fighting eachother, arguing and screaming, smelling like weed, reminiscing about the good old days of drug use. The Staff at WBCTC were so nice and willing to help. They really care! The nurse at the window was Pleasant, met my counselor and she is amazing. The doc is the same doc that was at miner s and she s always cool. She left miner s, ( wonder why? ). But all in all it s a great place to start Down your road to sobriety or to continue it.Absolutely by far the best place in the area. Keep up the great work.Oh another perk Free coffee!

I came to TPALS 5 years ago as a broken human being with nothing left inside and nothing left to give. I was very defiant in the beginning of the treatment process because of my experiences in the past and was never comfortable enough to open up to anybody ever. I graduated within that 5 years but I just did the program to get everyone off my back I didn t take in any of the suggestions given or was not willing to take a deeper look into my life so I got my certificate and left. Only to come back 2 years later still broken but this time no substance brought me back. Within coming back I ve had a few lapses but I was SO COMFORTABLE to come back into this place and admit to that and I ve built such solid worthy relationships here. This place gave me my life back. Gave my children their mother back and my family has their daughter back. If it was not for this place I would be dead. I love tpals because they meet you where you are at and work with you to understand the true ins and outs of this disease. I never thought I would be free from the chains of hell with drugs and alcohol and this place helped me free myself. I graduated again but I still come here everyday this place is my home and my safe place. Even if there isn t any staff I sit in the parking lot if I need to regroup mentally. Thank you to each and every one of the staff and counselors ! Yall are the real super heroes because super heroes don t always need to wear capes.

Just spent 5 days in the hospital there and I can t say more about the quality of care I received from the doctors to the nurses to the transport people and the people cleaning my room. All the doctors were extremely caring and worked diligently to help find the answers I had been looking for regarding my illness. The nurses that took care of me on the 4th floor room 470, especially Eve, Gianna, and Tracy were absolutely 5 star nurses. Eve even though i only met her on my last day was incredible and made me feel safe and eased all my anxiety during my time. Gianna s care was top notch and she never once made me feel like a burden. And Tracy was one of the most incredible humans I ever met. She was my biggest advocate, my therapist, my shoulder to cry on and always there to talk in the middle of the night when I couldn t sleep. She made me feel like family whilst under her care. Geisinger is extremely lucky to have such amazing nurses and they all deserve a pay raise or bonus for their hard work and dedication. I also want to shout out my nurse in the ER whose name I don t know how to spell but she was incredible as well and my call bell was always answered promptly with a smile. Thank you again for all the help!
