Accepted Insurance

P.A.T.S. Prevention and Treatment Services works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs provide a full continuum of care for clients who are exiting inpatient treatment. Though outpatient care is often considered an element of drug rehab aftercare, services typically continue for the remainder of the clients' life and long after formal treatment is completed. Clients work with their case managers and care team to formulate a customized portfolio of medical, mental health, and social service resources designed to evolve as the client's needs change.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Loved ones can utilize a drug intervention in Illinois to help with addressing a family member's problematic substance use. The goal of the intervention is to educate the individual about the negative effects of their substance use and encourage them to accept professional treatment. Intervention services can help families initiate this conversation and plan appropriate follow-up care, such as inpatient or outpatient rehab.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Illinois is designed to help people recover from addiction to a number of substances. The length of each program and its intensity tend to vary, and the plan of care is based on your individual needs.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

If you engage in cognitive behavioral therapy in Illinois, your therapist will work with you to change your thinking patterns. You'll learn how to recognize faulty thinking and develop skills to deal with stress without using substances.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Illinois typically involves keeping a diary to track actions and emotions. Your therapist will use this diary to determine what to focus on during each session. In addition to individual sessions, you'll also attend group meetings where you are trained in coping skills.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

During one on one therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction, you and your therapist work collaboratively to develop effective relapse prevention plans and improve your self awareness. This helps address your specific needs, including the effectiveness of several evidence based treatment modalities that may work best for you.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

THEY KNOW THEIR STUFF, AND IF YOU PAY ATTENTION, SO WILL YOU I don t get all the hate on these people. So, I won t speak to that stuff. This is my story: I was issued a DUI on Feb. 26, 2016 after leaving a charity event at the Crossing in southwest Champaign & speeding east on Windsor Rd. I d just taken 3 double shots right before leaving, and figured I wouldn t be so intoxicated if I made it home fast enough. Welp I was wrong. I went through P.A.T.S. back then, and Pat herself along with Cory, Tish, D Laurce and a couple others treated me like family while also being stern and ensuring I completed my requirements. I did. I slacked off for a few years, and ended up needing a new evaluation, went in for my administrative hearing, was denied, went back for the denial follow-up, received my restricted driver s permit, lost my driver s permit due to an unavoidable accident which involved a rear-end collision and citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident (it was nighttime, raining, and this is the easiest ticket to get on the road he backed into me from the turning lane, though), had to get an updated eval, went back for an administrative hearing, like the first go-roundwas denied AGAIN BROOO SPRING EFFIN FIELD & Jesse White, and their nit-picky BS, and I went in for my last updated hearing last week.I don t know what the outcome is going to be, but what I will say is this: CORY HALL has been the provider who has walked me through every single step. Illinois is extremely bureaucratic & petty, and the Secretary of State s Office is incredibly behind the times. They have had extremely Draconian policies forever. I mean Jesse White is like a hundred years old. So, I didn t & don t blame P.A.T.S. for any of that mess. Everyone and everything they said & did was relatable & applicable to my particular situation.Like I said, I don t know exactly what the outcome will be, and the usual route is that I would have to go through the whole 9 month restricted driver s permit phase all over and have to request full reinstatement after that. However, this past week, at my administrative hearing, I was recommended for full reinstatement which is no easy feat. I attribute this to Cory Hall, and the people at P.A.T.S. That s my truth. It might be yours, too. Go see them.Emmanuel C., DUI, 2/26/16Recommended for full reinstatement (without the extra step of a RDP after losing a RDP) with the help of Cory Hall @ P.A.T.S., 9/14/22

I had to get an evaluation done for DCFS, An employee from Bethany Christian Services showed up after I did a soft lock out with my 14 year old son. When I did the lock out a police officer was in my home and I had a place for my son to go to get drug help. The personal from Bethany Christian Services said I was mentally ill. All because she never bothered to ask about the lock out. She recommended P.A.T.S. because they had a contract with them. Let that be a big red flag if any one tells you to go get an evaluation done where they have contracts with people. After the evaluation said I had a mood disorder and I tried calling to dispute it, they never called me back or responded to emails. They closed down do to Covid. I got a second evaluation done some where else. I was not mentally ill. I didn't have any mood disorders. After Bethany Christian Services in my home for a year, I discovered that they receive a government grant. No matter who you are, you will have to take a parenting class that was predetermined by a clearing house, and have to receive individual and family counseling for everyone. If you don't do all of the recommended stuff then you are pulled into the court system. P.A.T.S. partners with these kind of entities.

This place just wants business. They're trying to sell as many classes as they can. I went in and they had me fill out a giant stack of paperwork I told them I wanted help filling all that paperwork out and they appointed me a lady that wrote down things that I didn't tell her and twisted what I said in order to recommend their classes to me. The little offices they have make you feel like you're in someone's garage or basement with their hand me down beat up office desks
