About Pines Recovery Life

Pines Recovery Life is an alcohol and drug rehab facility for adults located in Pembroke Pines, Florida. They offer a wide variety of services to help treat substance use disorders. They will help you detox off of your drug of choice and then step you down to one of the other programs they offer. They provide gender specific care to help you get treatment in a safe, non-distracting environment.

They offer three levels of treatment including evaluation, stabilization and aftercare. One thing that stands out to me is that they are able to treat 40 individuals at one time. In addition to their detox services, you will have the chance to engage in intensive outpatient programing, partial hospitalization services, and medication assisted treatment.

Another thing that stands out to me is that they can also provide you with a wellness program. This includes IV infusion therapy, electroanalgesia therapy, and deep tissue laser therapy. Their wellness program is designed to help you treat issues associated with your physical health to make the road to recovery better. This can help set you up for success.

If I could do one thing right after sending my loved one to this place would be to hopefully and prayerfully reach as many people and to implore them before sending their loved ones here that you do your complete research about this place in its entirety, they are mixed up in body brokering, under indictment and have shuffled family members and ex cons to run the facility while the others are in prison for falsifying documents, doing business under different names, using drugs to lure the clients in to their run down filthy properties. They have their hands in several different locations in Fla and out, they are about to be shut down according to the state. So if you or your child get mixed up in this horrible place you will be left with nothing as they drain your insurance any way they can. Read the reviews on all the sites and do your homework before committing to a place that will rob your soul.

Accepted Insurance

Pines Recovery Life works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs are a collection of highly individualized services designed to promote long-term recovery. These services evolve as your needs change. Case managers and recovery teams typically begin formulating the rehab aftercare service plan early in the recovery process to facilitate your reintegration back into the home, workplace, and community.
12-step icon12-Step
12 step programs support recovery through emotional, psychological, and spiritual development to address the root causes of addiction. These programs are peer directed, with participants regularly attending 12 step meetings, which are anonymous, free, and accessible day and night, year-round. Recovery is based on "working the steps" to understand the source of addiction, take accountability for one's life choices, and relinquish control for that which cannot be changed. Age-specific, gender-separate, and other specialized programs are widely available.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
A sober living home in Florida often serves as a transitional residence for individuals coming out of inpatient rehab. This helps those in recovery avoid isolation that can sometimes happen after they return home from treatment. It offers a supportive environment where they can practice skills learned in rehab. Offering a combination of structure and freedom, men's or women's sober living is a good stepping stone to independent life in recovery.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
If a person with a substance use disorder continually denies their problem or refuses to get treatment, a drug intervention in Florida may be necessary. Intervention services can help mediate the intervention by providing an addiction expert. This professional can de-escalate situations and facilitate a healthier discussion between the individual and their loved ones. Specialists can also help families handle issues they don't know how to navigate on their own.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
Often referred to as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers an intensive treatment option that allows individuals to return home at night. PHP treatment typically requires a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. Participants attend daily therapeutic sessions, receive medication management, and have access to skilled medical professionals. While costs can vary, most insurance will fully or partially cover a partial hospitalization program.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Florida is an essential part of treatment, particularly with medical detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, and supervised detox provides around the clock access to medical professionals who can adminsiter proper medications and treatment to address these symptoms and step in should an emergency occur. This intensive clinical care will help curb the withdrawal effects, minimize substance dependence, and prepare you for the next step of treatment.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Therapists who apply cognitive behavioral therapy in Florida believe patient thoughts and behaviors are closely linked. They use this treatment method to help clients change their thought patterns so they can also change behaviors and break free from substance abuse.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Florida consists of individual therapy and group instruction. This structured program is a form of psychotherapy that incorporates the development of skills for managing emotions and relationships.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

As a short term therapeutic method, motivational interviewing in Florida requires only a couple of sessions. During these sessions, you'll have the opportunity to talk about your circumstances and any discrepancies between your current situation and future goals. You'll then decide for yourself what changes you want to make.

Trauma therapy helps you work through the psychological impact that traumatic events have had on your life. Your therapist helps you identify the physical, emotional, and mental triggers and develop coping mechanisms. This helps rebuild a sense of safety and trust in yourself and others.

During couples therapy in Florida, your therapist will take steps to get to know you, help you identify feelings, explore the past, develop solutions, and help you learn skills to manage relationship challenges. This process will allow you to work through conflict and strengthen your relationship.

During family therapy sessions, you navigate the complexities of addiction and are provided tools to help improve communication and resolve conflicts. When you work together, families can better support their loved one's recovery and restore balance and harmony within the household.

Do NOT send your loved one here - there are better options out there! On the rare occasion I could reach a live person my calls went unreturned; usually you ring into never never land until the call simply dies. When son was finally discharged he indicated the place was dirty, food was awful and care sub-standard. A state-run-like facility pretending to be a private-care level. Was told there is "one guy running the show" and not very well according to our experience.

Alot of the staff were nice there but they're were a few with severe attitudes and one worker that raises his voice and get in ur face almost like he's bout to fight u,and the facility kept giving me blanKets to sleep in that smelled like straight piss.alot of the times when u ask for anything basic like a phone call or can I get my deodorant they say give them 5min jus to never come back.they also didnt even try to fill my medication and didnt give me my meds ever since I got there, I felt like I was going crazy without my pshyc meds and NO ONE tOOK me seriously untill i walked out the facility with all my stuff that's when they finally realized they should fill and give Me my meds smh It shouldn't take me leaving the facility for the doctor's to FINALLY do their job and give me my damn medication. Also when I left I made a mistake of getting in a staff members car somehow he convinced me to call my mom, brought me back and locked me in a room for 5hours literally locked from the inside out. I remember when I first got there the lady who did my intake specifically told me this isn't a jail and I HAVE THE RIGHT TO LEAVE WHN I WANT but at the same time they locked me in a room for 5hours not letting me leave ...So ya overall aesthetically yes the place looks nice everything's clean the foods good but I didn't have the best experience there.as a patient there the last thing we need is for the place we went to for help to add extra things to the plate as if dealing with withdraws and the physical and mental aspects of leaning off substances and drugs isn't already enough

The team at Pines Recovery saved my life! Treating addiction is not easy, especially a group of addicts and alcoholics. During my stay I had a wonderful therapist. Staff who really cared to talk to you and try to help you. The nursing team was wonderful and always did whatever they needed to make sure I was properly taken care of. They had good food, a gym, and took us on great outings. I went in broken and left a new person. I can t that this treatment center enough.

Don't sign your items out the night before discharge and do not believe them when they tell you your cash is there... I was missing money and also when they say 30-45 days, just know you will be there 66 days like me.

My stay at Pines Recovery was very pleasing. I was completely taken care of and fed well. The therapist are all connected well also. I was never abandoned or encouraged to isolate. In fact it was the exact opposite. The facility has around the clock cleaning and housekeeping which is incredibly comforting. Special shout out supervisors Shawtee and Thomas for running an organized operation. Lastly, kudos to Pines for going above and beyond what is required for the everyday addict and the special cases.

The therapist team was amazing, especially Vicky. The director could be less abrasive, and could have had better follow through. Other than that it was a great experience overall. Ms. Sam was sooo helpful and communicated well and followed through with what she said she was going to do. It felt like the team really cared about your well being.

Although, Pine s communication at the beginning of my bothers stay wasn t great, they apologized and allowed my brother to contact us once a day since we live in Texas. Pines Recovery Life did a great job over all. I have seen an extremely big difference in how my brother carries himself. Anthony, and Billy did a great job helping my bother get back to health. He is eating healthier, and is motivated to do great things in the future. Thank you Pines for helping my brother recover.
