We checked in and my friend was brought in, in a wheelchair (One of the hospital wheelchairs because he was in so much pain). I went out to park vehicle and when I returned my friend was struggling to move his wheelchair away from the check-in desk as 2 ladies were were just chilling behind the glass not seeming to care about how much pain he was in. One was leaned across the counter like she didn't have a care in the world.... Very frustrating to see such a lack of care for patients. They did not ask if he needed help or anything.

This is by far the worst place to have a baby. My daughter was in labor from Sunday night until Monday night. The room was cluttered and wasn t clean. The bathroom looked like it had fragments of dead roaches. The only thing positive I can say was the 1st shift nurses were AWESOME and so was Mrs. Tina Nalls, the 2nd shift nurses never came to introduce themselves. One came in to check her about 7:15pm talking about she s 9.5, but she wasn t. The Dr was just as bad. She came to see her that morning and they kept texting her that evening and she showed up when she got ready. If she hadn t been ready to deliver, I would ve taken her to Little Rock. These workers here suck. They need to gone and just make this an urgent care facility. You ll die waiting on the doctors and nurses here. Do Better OCMC .. I see why folks sue y all!!!!!! Trust me I didn t want to give y all one star but it s the only way I can get my review through! ZERO STARS!!!!!

Accepted Insurance

Ouachita Medical Center – Chemical Dependency works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

The goal of drug rehab in Arkansas is to help individuals stop using addictive substances and learn healthy ways to remain clean long-term. Participants learn vital skills to cope with cravings and manage stress, to prevent relapse.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Here, therapists are all about their opinion and not the actual medical standpoint. They refuse to listen to patients, their equipment is not working, the ceiling is leaking and electrical outlets are laying all over the front entrance.

This place is filthy, it looks like they never cleaned the windows or carpets. The staff looks worn out, it's just depressing to look at them and think they can help you, what a joke! To me, the people that run this place don't care about the clients... it is a waste of time ... Read More

No regard for protecting your personal health information when checking in; everything is yelled out in a public room. The nurses I came into contact with were nice, but the entire check-in process was a bad experience sitting there listening to them argue about tasks while I was waiting.

If I could give this ER zero stars I would. The staff are rude and the wait is completely ridiculous! I understand there are multiple people waiting to be seen and people being treated but 3 hours sitting in a waiting room and 2 hours waiting in a room is completely ridiculous in my opinion! I showed up because of complications at 17 weeks pregnant. When I arrived a man was leaving because of his wait. 5 people showed up after I arrived. 3 hours later there were 2 of us left. Everyone else decided to leave and go to another hospital or home. When I asked if it was okay to use the restroom or I needed to wait and give a urine sample the lady at the front desk got an attitude because she had to pause her show to answer my question. If you're in the camden area definitely don't come to OCMC. Find another hospital to go to!
