About Magnolia Ranch Recovery

Magnolia Ranch Recovery is a substance abuse and mental health treatment clinic located in the foothills of Middle Tennessee. This Pulaski location offers help after an individual has undergone medical detox services. The facility helps with residential addiction treatment, case management, relapse prevention programs, and innovative therapy options for adults who are ready to recover from substance use disorder.

The clinic accepts a wide variety of insurance plans including Cigna, TRICARE, and Aetna. Interested patients can use the facility’s website to verify their insurance coverage with the facility directly.

Magnolia Ranch is one of the leading dual diagnosis treatment centers in the country. Interested individuals have the option of participating in multiple different life skills and group classes. These courses focus on topics like nutrition, art therapy, family dynamics, spirituality, and relapse prevention. One interesting amenity offered at the ranch is equine assisted psychotherapy, which is a treatment process that involves horses.

Magnolia Ranch Recovery takes healing from drug and alcohol addiction to the next level by providing a secluded, spacious 40 acres of space to recover in. The grounds contain everything residents will need during their stay. One great thing about the Ranch is that they provide evening fireside chats with residents where each individual gets one-on-one attention.

This dedication to a resident’s comfort contributes to the Ranch’s overwhelmingly positive feedback from previous clients. Public reviews show that the Ranch has a steller ratings not only due to the staff and treatment levels, but also due to the incredible scenery and healing atmosphere.

Medical briefcase icon Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient rehabs enable clients to receive care without leaving their home, workplace, and community. Clients typically receive intensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Many programs promote clients' long-term sobriety through recovery-focused life skills training and ancillary services, such as peer coaching. Medication assisted treatment (MAT), including medication induction and maintenance, are common in outpatient care. Most facilities offer multiple levels of care to accommodate clients' evolving needs, including intensive outpatient (IOP) and standard outpatient programming.

inpatient iconInpatient Rehab

Inpatient rehabs are designed principally for clients who require intensive supervision and support, including clients who have just completed detox, clients in early recovery, and clients at an elevated risk of relapse. Inpatient treatment helps clients stabilize following detox and prepares them to step-down into outpatient and/or community-based care. Clients reside at the facility for the duration of their program and engage in extensive addiction counseling and education. Many programs also offer evidence-based complementary therapies.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients receiving support in a rehab aftercare program typically have abstained from drugs or alcohol for a period of weeks or months and have completed high-level (often inpatient) treatment. Drug rehab aftercare is designed to support clients in maintaining their sobriety as they re-engage with their ordinary lives at home, in the workplace, and in the community. Services are highly individualized and evolve with clients' changing needs, but generally include peer coaching and relapse prevention.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

Safe detox requires 24-hour clinical care in Tennessee. This is due to the health risks that are involved during withdrawal. As the brain reacts to the absence of the drug, severe symptoms can occur, depending on the type of drug used. For instance, alcohol and benzodiazepine withdrawal may result in seizures. Fortunately, supervised care in a clinical setting can provide the necessary treatment to avoid health risks and allow you to complete detox safely.

Shield icon Insurance

Our Policy: Magnolia Ranch Recovery works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact us to verify your specific insurance provider.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

When your day-to-day life is taken over by drug use, this is known as substance use disorder. If you abruptly stop using your drug of choice, you experience withdrawal symptoms. To overcome this cycle, professional drug rehab in Tennessee is usually needed.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Hand holding medical sign icon Clinical Services

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Counseling in Tennessee that takes a dialectical behavior therapy approach can last from six to 12 months. During that time, you'll develop skills in the areas of distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

equine-therapy iconEquine Therapy

Equine therapy, aka equine-assisted therapy (EAT), is a form of experiential therapy that involves interactions and activities with horses. It does not necessarily involve riding horses, but all activities related to horses, such as feeding, grooming, haltering and leading them. A mental health professional frequently oversees the activities (often in conjunction with a horse professional), and helps patients process their thoughts, feelings, and behavior patterns during and/or after the interaction.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

While engaged in couples therapy in Tennessee, you'll learn how to trust, communicate, forgive, and manage emotions. Developing these skills can be beneficial at any time during the relationship, but they are particularly crucial when facing life challenges.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

life-skills iconLife Skills

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Nutrition Therapy

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

recreational-therapy iconRecreational Therapy

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

art-brush iconCreative Arts Therapy

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

medical-detox iconExperiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

This place is a joke won't let you know anything about your loved one.yes a release was signed but he told them I was his wife and I'm not it's absolutely ridiculous. I'm his number 1 support system

Response from the owner2 months ago
We apologize that you didn t receive our standard of exceptional service. There are however reasons why we may have been restricted on communication. Firstly HIPAA requires that a release is signed by our patients for every person they want us to communicate with about their care. If for some reason they choose not to sign a release, by law we cannot even confirm or deny if they are even a patient with us. We hope this provides some clarification and we wish the best for you and your loved one.

Magnolia was the start of my recovery journey. I went to Genesis detox, not knowing where I was going after. I didn t have a plan. All I know is I needed help immediately and before I changed my mind because we all know how that is! They told me we d figure it out together. When I was there, the director came to talk to me. I think his name was Daren or something similar. I was scared not knowing where I was going. He even talked to my insurance company for me because they were giving me issues. I was highly in my emotions withdrawaling and I was crying in frustration with them. So he took my phone and talked to them for me. He eased my worry and told me that Magnolia would be happy to have me, even though it was out of network. He assured me not to worry about the financial aspect. The people at Magnolia helped me so much, especially Lateska, Frank, and Jenn! I ll never forget karaoke night and singing a duet with Frank. That was the first time I d done karaoke sober! Frank was always so funny and sweet but put him out playing volleyball and he turned into another person . I remember meeting Mimi and thinking God was confirming I was in the right place cause that s my God Daughters name and I m like look at God! When they were setting up aftercare, they got me into a PHP program closer to home. I ended up leaving after two weeks because my insurance was out of network. Magnolia was a stepping stone but the place after heard about all they were doing wrong cause the only thing I had to compare it to was Magnolia! LOL. I ended up teaching clients in a group about cognitive distortions haha. I loved the way they taught. When they taught, I listened and retained everything! I had a few breakdowns and remember storming out of a group session but they showed me compassion and understanding during that time. I would recommend everyone go to Magnolia. I don t think I had ever experienced peace and serenity prior to going to Magnolia. I formed unbreakable bonds with people! Magnolia confirmed my decision of getting help! And I knew I was on the right track. I will always be grateful to the MMR team! Plus I had the biggest bathroom in the house. The shower was the biggest shower I ever stepped into. And I had the best roommate ever! The techs were always so supportive and encouraging through the process. They really show compassion and understanding with all that you are going through! I have now been in recovery for 15 months and I can thank MMR for getting me started in my recovery journey. I am also in my masters of clinical mental health program to be an addiction counselor just like Lateska. She made a lasting impression on me and I hope I can do that for others when the time comes. Thank you, MMR but a special thank you to Mimi for keeping contact with me since I left! I can t express enough gratitude in this review. I love you all dearly and you will always have a special place in my heart and life!

Magnolia Ranch literally saved my life! I was at the end of my rope with alcohol and even had a couple of scares during my stay. They made sure I was safe and that I definitely not alone! My counselor couldn t have been any better and he steered me into the direction of truly becoming a man again. I am forever grateful for and in debt to the Magnolia Ranch for showing me, and many others, the pathway to a new and sober life!Over a year and a half sober and counting!
