About Granite Mountain Behavioral Healthcare

Granite Mountain Behavioral Healthcare is a drug and alcohol rehab located in Prescott, AZ. They provide inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment.

Addiction-related services at this facility include inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, dual diagnosis treatment, and medication-assisted treatment.

This inpatient substance abuse program transforms the mind, body, and spirit through connection, community, and commitment. The program provides a safe and structured environment and has individuals engaging in a strengths-based empowerment model that focuses on a therapeutic relationship and personal accountability.

This program is for people who may have a milder form of addiction and can recover while living at home. Individuals attend outpatient treatment part-time while still being able to keep up with their family, school, and work responsibilities. This outpatient clinic has a partial hospitalization program, an intensive outpatient program, and an aftercare program for addiction.

This program uses behavioral therapies in conjunction with medications to treat opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder. The goal of medication assisted therapy is to change the brain chemistry by blocking the euphoric effects of alcohol or opioids. This stops the physical cravings and brings the body back to normal functioning.

Medical briefcase icon Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Many clients who enroll in an outpatient rehab program are exiting intensive inpatient care and no longer require such high-level clinical supervision. Outpatient programs typically follow a step-down structure, with treatment frequency and intensity decreasing as clients progress in their recovery journey. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) levels of care are the most time-intensive and are designed primarily for clients who have just left inpatient treatment or who are at an elevated risk of relapse.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive inpatient programs (IOP) offer high-level support for clients in early recovery, those exiting detox or inpatient rehabs, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically includes rigorous individual, group, and family counseling. Evidence-based complementary therapies, such as acupuncture and massage, are widely available. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) may be provided. Clients in IOP receive a minimum of nine hours of treatment per week but may engage in up to 20 treatment hours weekly.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

The safest way to remove addictive substances from your body is done under the care of licensed medical professionals. Known as medically assisted detox, this level of care is typically in an inpatient setting with a team of medical experts that may include doctors, nurses, and mental health clinicians. Medications like Suboxone, methadone, or Vivitrol may be administered to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms.

aftercare iconAftercare

Rehab aftercare programs support clients' successful reintegration into their home, workplace, and community. Drug rehab aftercare presumes that recovery requires life-long support. These programs typically offer a wide variety of services customized for the clients' unique and evolving needs. Clients may receive vocational training and career counseling, housing assistance, legal aid, peer coaching, and 12 step program induction, among other services. Clients' case managers often play a lead role in rehab aftercare planning.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

The initial phase of recovery treatment typically includes 24-hour clinical care in Arizona. This constant supervision ensures a safe detox process, which helps the individual physically stabilize from substance use. Patients will receive medications to curb withdrawal symptoms and cravings, as well as other necessary medical treatment. This period typically lasts up to a week, then the individual will receive medical clearance to begin inpatient or outpatient rehab.

I don t know why we lie to ourselves when it comes to our sanity and sobriety. If you re looking for a short term fix to get out of jail and put a roof over your head then hey this is your place. But if you really are about being sober and being happy and having all the support after you make your po happy and prosper then stay away from here. I m an alumni and straight up this place will leave you out to dry with no support or love. All they care about is the acchhs money???? FAkEEEE

Granite mountain is the only place I have ever seen who genuinely cares about something besides the healthcare dollars provided by the taxpayer. These people saved my life and I will forever be grateful.

I went to granite mountain in 2020, and after a relapse returned this past May. I was extremely heartbroken, and disappointed for the change in quality of care and services offered. I was talked about inappropriately by a staff member, received only 3 therapy sessions in a 7 week stay, and decided to leave AMA to protect my mental health. I was not heard or validated in my safety concerns regarding being called degrading names by a BHT, was told I was doing it out of jealousy as well as go somewhere else if you don t feel safe here . It was hard because I returned there thinking it was a place that would help me thrive and grow. Also, I spent multiple groups watching non-treatment related videos/movies, and felt I gained no extra education on my reason for admitting. The place has unfortunately gone downhill, and it s apparent they care amount the money and not the patients.

Granite Mountain is all about people helping people. I worked there for a few months and throughout my time there, I was always humbled to see the comradery they create through passionate staff members and instilling encouragement and trust in the adults in the program. I've heard from several individuals that said things like 'I truly believe I'm on a better path and I'm not going back,' several of these people have been to multiple other rehab clinics too. Granite Mountain sets a precedent where they allow more freedom to the people in the program, but it's a freedom that the individuals don't want to take for granted because it comes from the belief the staff places in you to be accountable and responsible as an adult. I'm very appreciative to work for such a special organization. Every level of staff loves what they do and has a genuine desire to help others. It's great to see a program set people up for long term success. Truly honored to be a part of it.
