Only giving 1 for Dr arrendll. Been coming to this hospital ever since I was younger for my health issues, and this hospital never bothered me until recent years. Sadly, it's close to where I I've so lts easiest whem I don't feel great periodWell today was one of my encounters there at all. Normally my nurses usually are awesome and that's why I still go here. . Tonight was much different the nurses I had were arrogant, lazy, & nothing short of imcompetent...if you needed drinks good luck snacks ONO. Then let's not forget my medicines. They were late all night and then by the time I was ready for sleep I was supposed to be getting my 1 Medicine before sleep and that was around 11 and she told me that the pharmacy had the medicine. And it'll be up shortly. So I continue to wait and I ask for water and ice chips. And maybe something else to like kinda sit on on the site. And none of those things were brought and I laid and I waited until about 2. And no, that still wasn't being brought so when I bring it to her attention. She had a really smart response about how she doesn't work for the pharmacy and sometimes it takes a long time, but I've also been here plenty of times and I've known that sometimes when they do get things from the pharmacy, it does take a little bit of time, but it's never. Taken 3 hours, so I'm just not understanding why it's taking that long. So in the midst of that, she decides to laugh at me. Act like I don't know what I'm talking about. Because of course, I don't work here so naturally. I don't know what I'm talking about. And then she erates me and belittles me and then tells me to call a different number to talk to them while I called the different number and talked to him and they get it all sorted out and then I get her switched from being my nurse well even afterwards, she's continued to walk. Back-and-forth down the hallway. Laughing and making jokes about the pharmacy and getting medicine and people don't know what they're talking about and I find it very, very disrespectful and rude and she makes enough money to do her job. I am paying enough. MONEY TO get my medicines on time, so I'm just not undersharing. What is going on at this hospital? But I don't recommend anybody else coming here. Nurse name SADE 8575 is her nurse line. Maybe sade she find a job better suited for her attitude!! Thanks!.

I cannot express the gratitude we feel towards all the doctors and nurses who helped my mom feel better. She came in with a high fever and cough a couple of weeks ago, and was quickly diagnosed with flu and pneumonia. After a couple hours in the ER she was moved to a comfortable room. The nurses were so amazing, checking in every hour or so. I was able to voice any concern and they were quick with solutions. They made the almost one week long stay as good as possible. Thank you so very much, may God continue to reward your teams efforts.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Clients in outpatient rehab receive a variety of services based on their unique and evolving needs. Typical outpatient treatment modalities include individual, group, and family counseling, recovery-focused life skills training, and community reintegration support. Many programs also provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) for clients recovering from alcohol and/or opioid dependency. Clients exiting inpatient treatment or those who are at an elevated risk of relapse may engage in more robust treatment, such as intensive outpatient (IOP) programming.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) enable clients to receive high-level care while living at home. Clients may choose to enter IOP instead of enrolling in inpatient care post-detox or they may transition from an inpatient rehab into IOP. Intensive outpatient treatment involves multiple therapeutic sessions per week and includes a combination of psychotherapy and addiction and recovery education. Many programs also offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) and/or holistic therapies, such as acupuncture and massage.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
As a flexible option, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is tailored for those who don't require 24-hour care. PHP treatment can include daily therapeutic sessions and services such as relapse prevention and medication management. Based on your needs, PHP treatment duration can average 90 days and require a minimum of 20 hours of commitment weekly. While a partial hospitalization program typically requires a commute, telehealth may be available. PHP treatment costs can vary but are often covered by most insurance.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
Addiction treatment often begins with 24-hour clinical care in Illinois. This supervised setting is the best environment for detox.where medical staff can provide 24/7 supervision and responsive care as your body is cleansed of addictive substances. Doctors may prescribe antagonist and partial agonist drugs to counteract the effects of drugs or alcohol, or they may slowly taper down dosages of substances to end physical dependence on the drug.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Trauma therapy provides you with a safe and supportive environment so you can address a traumatic experience. Your therapist helps guide you to understand your emotional, mental, and physical responses while developing healthier coping skills. This helps to improve your emotional resilience and ability to function in the community.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Due to unpublicized location changes, staff confusion, and low manning I didn’t get seen for my 8am appointment until about 8:30-ish. Having one person checking in everyone during peak hours probably isn’t the best idea. Everyone was very nice and understanding, especially Stacy the Respiratory Therapist. You can tell she loves her job and cares about the patients, just an absolute gem, God bless her. Amazing staff, spread of information and manning could be better. I’d come back!

My loved one had surgery at Gateway last week, requiring an overnight stay. I will admit, after reading the reviews, I was a little apprehensive about her having surgery here. However, we couldn't have been happier with the treatment we ALL received. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and every effort was made to put our family at ease. Sharon and Linda in the "Same Day Surgery" center were the first medical professionals we encountered. They were patient, informative, and did everything they could to make all of us comfortable. Sharon checked in with us frequently as we waited in the family area, and both she and Linda stopped by to see if we needed anything before their shift ended. They were wonderful and kind at every juncture, and no question went unanswered / no need unaddressed. The attending nurse in the operating room called me to let me know the exact moment that the surgery started, as well as how long they expected it to take. I have never experienced that before. She also called me when the surgery was over, and let me know that my family member was going to recovery. The surgeon came out to let me know how everything went, and I received updates from the PACU nurses while she was coming out of the anesthesia. At one point, I had a question and went to find someone involved with my family member's care. A lady named Bev Anderson stopped what she was doing, asked me if I needed help with something, and she immediately went to her office and called until she found my answer for me. Keep in mind... she was in plain clothes, and had she simply walked past me, I would have never known otherwise. Yet, she chose to interrupt what she was working on to assist our family. We then moved to the 4th floor where Katie and Lynetta were our primary care nurses. They were absolutely incredible, and their commitment to patient care was evident in everything that they did. However, everyone on the 4th floor pitched in to provide a comprehensive system of support, not only for the patients and families, but also for one another. I have NEVER seen people hustle to comfort and care for others like they do. They remained professional and attentive at all times, even in the face of some patients / visitors behaving rudely and inappropriately. The physical therapist was encouraging, took time with my family member, had great conversations with her and at no point did she feel rushed or awkward during her therapy sessions. Overall, I want to thank everyone responsible for our care at Gateway. Being a medical professional (especially in today's world) is NOT easy, and everyone we came in contact with demonstrated pride in their profession, as well as in their workplace. We were very impressed and thankful beyond measure. IF I had to mention some areas for improvement... I would say the physical facilities need some attention. Yes, the building is old, but paint is hanging in strips from the ceilings in the lobby and waiting area, the sheets had some holes in them, and overall the general public areas of the building could have been a bit cleaner. (The patient rooms, hallways, and restrooms seemed very clean.) In addition, the administrative person I contacted (twice) to express our thanks / provide feedback, didn't even bother to call me back! When professionals are working THAT hard to care for others who are sick or in pain, I would hope they'd feel supported by the people in charge of Gateway's community relations. They really deserve to hear kudos for their hard work. Thank you to Sharon, Linda, Katie, Lynetta, Bev, and everyone else whose names I didn't manage to get. What brilliant caregivers, and assets to the medical community, you are.
