My lawyer recommended this place due to it being close to me. I had to get a DA evaluation done. The counselor (George Johnson) did my evaluation. Not only did he not send it to my lawyer or probation officer, he got a ton of information incorrect. When I confronted him about it, he laughed in my face and told me he uses a template and he probably "just forgot" to erase someone else's information and put my own. I tried to stick with the program but he was hard to get in contact with. Everything was only getting done if I sent multiple emails and made calls. You can tell he really did not care, and probably just sends all the clients to do the same treatment-regardless of their story or circumstance. If I could rate 0 stars, I would. Please, please do not go to George Johnson if you need mandated evaluations/treatments/guidance/support-the list could go on. It created more stress for me than anything. I have to seek my services elsewhere to someone who actually cares. I have spent too much money here to get little to no help.

Accepted Insurance

Flourish Family Therapy works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

A quality drug rehab in Georgia can help you overcome addiction. This environment is designed to help you address the complex issues contributing to drug dependence. The goal of treatment is to give you the tools you need to make a full recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Please be aware, Flourish Family Therapy (FFT) is unprofessional and incompetent. I do NOT recommend anyone needing or seeking Mental Health Care going to FFT.The issues in my experience are as follows:1. Attempt to double bill me for my late cancellation on an appointment though I paid the fee and had a digital receipt from 10 days earlier.2. Not following-up as advised on the billing issue.3. Counselor was a no-show for a scheduled appointment and no one from FFT made any attempt to contact me to advise or address.4. Counselor not responding to multiple emails requesting a response regarding a Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) paperwork request.5. Feedback provided to FFT leadership regarding the issues listed above was met with a defensive tone, hollow assurances and assumptions regarding my desires.6. Multiple back and forth emails regarding the FMLA paperwork request only to have a scheduled meeting (at FFT s request) with the owner of FFT regarding the paperwork.7. The owner came the meeting unprepared and without doing her due diligence regarding the meeting topic. The owner requested a copy of the previously provided FMLA form I was requesting, had not reviewed the form prior to our meeting and, based on the questions she presented me, did not grasp the concept of the timeframe in question needed for the form.8. Ten days after my initial request for the FMLA paperwork, I did receive a copy of the form from the owner on the same day that we met. What I received from her consisted ten fill-in the blanks containing their name, address, dates and a signature along with one single check box.9. The returned FMLA form is incomplete as I did have a counseling session during the timeframe in question, yet that is absent from from.As someone dealing with their Mental Health these issues have only exacerbated and added to my anxiety, depression and stress level. My experience with FFT is completely unacceptable. As someone who does not usually post online reviews, I feel compelled and responsible to share my experience with others. I was willing to let the first three items listed above go as mistakes. But, add to that the ten days of my time, multiple emails and a frustrating meeting for their name, address, dates, a signature and a check box on a form only to be incomplete is too much not share.

I selected Flourish Family Therapy based on the biography of the counselor and the services they claimed to offer. Clearly the bio the of thr counselor was not what he presents. Unprepared and unorganized. I repeated information that was documented in the paper work. Clearly it was not read. Follow up phone calls to myself and the school was never done. There was no clear plan or direction, just talk. I wouldn't recommend George Johnson.
