Debbie was a breath of fresh air. I was searching and searching for a low cost dui counselor. I ve called multiple places and they wanted letters and documents also they were booked out for weeks! On top of that they charged $200 and up! I called Debbie @ E-V-S-A and she was so kind. She had a opeaning that day! Right before we hung up I told her she relieved so much stress from me! I came in on a Sunday which was perfect! Did the paper work and she asked questions. 1wk later I was able to get my license renewed!!! I didn t have to wait the 45 days!!! I was a little scared during the process because of her reviews, but I am glad I didn t listen to them and I got an awesome outcome!! Thank you so much Debbie you re awesome! Debbie is simply amazing. She is a genuine, kind, and sensible person. It is clear that she TRULY cares about helping people; this is a rare thing for me to say about someone, unfortunately. I have already learned a lot from her and can truthfully say that I enjoy the classes. I feel lucky that I was directed to her, as she is one of the few licensed counselors in AZ that can handle out of state incidences. I called Debbie with only a few days notice of needing my substance abuse evaluation completed and faxed to the court. I thought that I was completely screwed, but she was very accommodating with scheduling my evaluation to ensure that I would not have to show up to my court date. Seriously, if you see any bad review about her, do not believe it. It is obvious that anyone who would rate Debbie poorly did something themselves to cause their interaction to go in a negative direction. Trust me. Thank you Debbie!!

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

My counselor was down to earth and actually cared about me getting the services instead of thinking of me as another business transaction. Be true to yourself and you'll be fine and making progress.

I dont have the same experience as the other reviewers on this place. I paid this woman 100$ for a MVD evaluation and she signed me up for the process wich included 16 hours of classes. I completed the program 6 months ago and the MVD still dosnt have the evaluation! And what's worse is Debbie Schiller shows no interest in making it right! I'm sitting in her parking lot right now for the 4th time this month after she gave me (another) excuse about how she dosnt have time to fix it right now.. I got scammed by this woman plain and simple. I'm upset I had to rate her 1 star just to leave this comment but hopefully this will help warn people from being victimized by her when you need real help. Stay clear of this place!

Debbie at east valley substance abuse center is amazing, now days it s hard to find a place that acutualy cares and wants to help, Debbie on the other hand isn t like most of the other substance abuse counseling facilities where all they want is to take your money. From the second I spoke to Debbie on the phone I could tell she was down to earth and actually cared about the people getting services instead of thinking of it as a business transaction just to take your money. When I arrived Debbie was nice kind and honest and seemed to actually care about what she was doing. She definitely was professional with the whole process and helped me with what I was there for. I have tried a few other places like this and I will tell you every other place that I have spoke or been to is strictly about trying to take your money And do not care about your situation or why you re coming there at all. Debbie at east valley substance is one of the only services around Arizona that will actually want to help you instead of trying to just take money from you. Thank you Debbie for your services and being professional and kind.

I left my last class this afternoon, and felt like I didn't say enough thanks or gratitude to Debbie, I think that she is one of those really good people, that you normally don't encounter, I know it was a required deal! But I feel happy and priveleged to have the experience of this lovely Lady, + the people I met along the way. .....Thank you for broadening my perspective on things! !
