It is the nastiest place I've ever stayed. It takes roach motel to another level. Below standard care, unsafe atmosphere, no one-on-one therapy. It's more like a prison than a place of healing. It's an absolute scam. They are a detox facility. They do not have a mental health program as advertised. The pictures do not accurately represent the facility. Absolutely disgusting. I hope this review helps someone. -5/5

The one thing that stood out to me about Dignity Healing was how caring some of the BHT's were while I was there. Shout out to Reneeke, Maria, and Cynthia for always going out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable.Another shout out to Brian, who is the chef at Dignity Healing. His food was always prepared with care, and he was highly accommodating to those who had a particular diet.I also want to say that Maria Sutton, the case manager, does not get enough credit for how hard working and dedicated she is to helping ALL the clients there. The group Facilitators Manny, Dustin Allen, all really help you dig deep into learning about yourself. They have a lot of experience and helpful information to give during their group sessionsNow the negatives about Dignity. There wasn't enough initiative in regards to the "activities " they say they have planned for you. Unless you remind the staff, they don't usually take charge in making sure that activities are being done, especially on the weekends. The rooms are all infested with roaches. When the exterminator came, I asked if he could spray my room, and he said he was only here to do offices. They had gotten us a pool to keep cool (its summer in florida), but it didn't last long because the maintenance guy complained about the grass being ruined. Many of the BHT's would openly talk about other patients, to each other, as well as even talking to other patients. Besides the few that were mentioned, the majority of the BHT's usually wave you away when you need help, or they send you in circles asking multiple BHT's until one of them gets annoyed enough to help. The Coordinator Vanessa had a very, very condescending tone toward ALL the clients. It made it very uncomfortable to be around her. If you had any questions for her, she would just dismiss you without even hearing you out. She had a very "I'm the boss" kind of attitude. She would stop us from enjoying certain activities for no reason other than she said so. My time at Dignity was most peaceful when she left for vacation. The way she's demeaning towards the clients as well as her staff is not a professional way to run a mental health/ substance abuse clinic.Ultimately, I give the place 3 stars because there ARE people there who genuinely care about helping, but unfortunately, you can tell the majority are only there for a paycheck. Dignity is decent if you can't afford a better place. Just make sure you do your research. Don't listen to the intake reps. They literally falsely advertise the experience just so they can get you to sign up. They just care about making their quote, so they'll say almost anything to get you to sign up with them.

Dignity Healing works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs are a collection of highly individualized services designed to promote long-term recovery. These services evolve as your needs change. Case managers and recovery teams typically begin formulating the rehab aftercare service plan early in the recovery process to facilitate your reintegration back into the home, workplace, and community.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Florida consists of individual therapy and group instruction. This structured program is a form of psychotherapy that incorporates the development of skills for managing emotions and relationships.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

As a short term therapeutic method, motivational interviewing in Florida requires only a couple of sessions. During these sessions, you'll have the opportunity to talk about your circumstances and any discrepancies between your current situation and future goals. You'll then decide for yourself what changes you want to make.

Trauma therapy helps you work through the psychological impact that traumatic events have had on your life. Your therapist helps you identify the physical, emotional, and mental triggers and develop coping mechanisms. This helps rebuild a sense of safety and trust in yourself and others.

During couples therapy in Florida, your therapist will take steps to get to know you, help you identify feelings, explore the past, develop solutions, and help you learn skills to manage relationship challenges. This process will allow you to work through conflict and strengthen your relationship.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Types of creative arts therapy in Florida include playing music, writing poetry, journaling, dancing, painting, and sculpting. These expressive activities can help you process emotions and work through challenges with the guidance of a creative arts therapist.

Your mind, body, and emotions interact in complex ways. Experiential therapy addresses all three of these aspects. Interactive and creative activities provide physical sensations and evoke emotional responses. These offer insight into how you interact with the world and any negative patterns you need to change.

I was recently discharged from this facility. Crawling with roaches. Mold on the walls. They give patients access to phones for 10 minutes to leave a good review. They over dosed me. Threatened narcan. There is mold and rat feces in rooms. Sent me into a bad lupus flare. They don t protect you against aggressive combative patients and refuse to call law enforcement.

What an excellent decision I made to come here. That phone call for help was the hardest call I have ever made, but worth it. The staff is friendly and helpful. The therapists are exceptional. There is so much more to addiction than what meets the eye... and here they teach you the reasons behind it, the ways to cope with it and the tools to be successful. I have no regrets and If you are struggling as well, you won't either.

Absolute scum of the earth, they just want your money. Had blood work done, got told my kidneys and liver were failing, a week later I leave (they kicked me out) and then go to my own doctor who confirms my liver and kidneys are in perfect health. They hopped me on a bunch of meds to the point where I could not feel for mental illnesses I did not have. The admission staff lie to you, Everyone is out of network even if they tell you, you re not you are out of network Zinnia is out of network company, and I was told that by Monica from finance department who was amazing. Therapist don t even know who you are or have a session with you until you ve already bugged out 10 times about the fact that you haven t seen a therapist. They told me that they would fly back and not get stranded, Then continue to kick me out of the facility and drop me off at an airport with no money and no way back to New York State Because I advocated for the fact that I had not seen a therapist or done anything treatment wise in the week that I had been there besides go to a group. Brian, the cook is amazing if there s something you don t like or something you just want he s usually really good about getting it for you. But I can say that the therapist do not know what they re doing. They do not make an effort to do their job. Barbara, the nurse practitioner will put you on 100 meds that you do not need because it makes her paycheck go up. I told one of the staff I thought that I had a UTI and she sat there and told me my symptoms sounded like an STD and maybe I should get myself checked. This place is disgusting. They have no remorse for anyone, no compassion, it is not a healthy environment
