I had to go and do a intake for my daughter. The staff were very understanding and compassionate. They explained everything in great detail and even answered every question even if I asked it multiple times but in different ways because I was so stressed out because my girl was going to be left in their hands .

Accepted Insurance

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Many clients who enroll in an outpatient rehab program are exiting intensive inpatient care and no longer require such high-level clinical supervision. Outpatient programs typically follow a step-down structure, with treatment frequency and intensity decreasing as clients progress in their recovery journey. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) levels of care are the most time-intensive and are designed primarily for clients who have just left inpatient treatment or who are at an elevated risk of relapse.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs support clients' successful reintegration into their home, workplace, and community. Drug rehab aftercare presumes that recovery requires life-long support. These programs typically offer a wide variety of services customized for the clients' unique and evolving needs. Clients may receive vocational training and career counseling, housing assistance, legal aid, peer coaching, and 12 step program induction, among other services. Clients' case managers often play a lead role in rehab aftercare planning.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
At certain points in the recovery process, it’s important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Youth use daily life situations to gain insight into developing social, life and coping skills that are taught through curriculum based groups and programming activities such as (but not limited to) bullying prevention, communication, self-respect, responsibility, creative problem solving, conflict resolution and social responsibility.

Average service. You aren't judged or ridiculed for being there, but they aren't very friendly. If you know how to deal with serious people, you'll be fine.

I went here when I was 11. I was there for 3 months and turned 12 while there. (2012) I was the youngest there and got bullied A LOT. One girl even slammed me in the face with a book. When I was homesick, a lot of the staff didn't seem to care. But once you met a certain level you could go out and do a lot of fun things. School wasn't bad, either. I was even allowed to go off campus and visit with my grandpa who flew in. Had I not been so incredibly home sick this place would've probably been better.

I can't say enough good things about the services my daughter has gotten ! We have been a part of this for 4 years and her ups and downs are always manageable with this team she has. I can call , text or email her team at any time and they respond as quickly as possible. Even on weekends , middle of the night. Does not matter! She has grown immensely. We were not inpatient we were out patient ! Just to be clear! I have no idea what the other side looks like or can comments

So they don't have enough security and yet it's like a prison? No they don't have barbed wire and electric fences. So yes when 2 teenage boys wanna punch and attack staff and then climb the gate before staff has a chance to even get up and grab him they're gonna leave. Protocol is to chase until they can't see them anymore and then it's the police's job to find them. Everything gets reported and yet y'all still find a way to complain. Honestly from having multiple friends work there they try their best to stop this. But these are average people who receive restraint training. They aren't fighters who can defend against your kid who just came from Juvenile Detention. Maybe instead of bashing the place where staff are underpaid to get beat up by your kids, you should learn to parent? J's

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY.They will lose your child and not take responsibility and then also try to silence you. There are two 16 year old boys missing from this facility who should have been on 24hr watch. It has now been 6 days, Devereux has not assisted or given any information to help find them.Yet, they have done damage control on their social media accounts to try to silence everyone about this!I AM SICK that not 1 person who works here has come to the families of these boys to try to help in any way at all! This is SUPPOSED to be a SAFE PLACE, so how do two minors go MISSING with out any information at all?!?!HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL
