My son went to this place to get help for suicide thoughts and substance abuse. He was over medicated and came out of there looking like a zombie. That drug called halperdol (Haldol) is a cheap, old drug they are giving the patients bad sign affects. Our sons and daughters are just getting a bandaid on a problem thats not going away. Something is wrong you just drug a patient up and release them back into society. My son had to be hospitalized 1 and back in ER twice . It's been a nightmare for our family. This place need to be shut down. They will be hearing more from my family. It's been 4 weeks and some days. My son is not quit right yet. Crying just thinking did i make a bad choice. Soooo, sorry.

Accepted Insurance

Delta Specialty Hospital works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

My mom was admitted in on the 17th. Communication has not been a problem until the past two days. The last time I talked to her she made it known that the calls are recorded and that she had been having issues with a few of the techs. Since then, I have missed two calls from her. One from yesterday and one from today. I've called up there I don't even know how many times at this point and not a single person is answering the phones, even DURING business hours. I even went so far as to hit the option for HR because I don't know what else to do. I'm labeled as an emergency contact and right now I don't even think they'd call if something went wrong or if something happened to her. I just want to make sure she's okay and I can't do that. I'm pissed and worried. If I could give zero stars then I would.

I was admitted a few years ago. Had I known what kind of place I was going to, I would've just tried to deal with everything on my own. This was the only place my insurance would take at the time, so it seemed like a good option. I was wrong. There are almost daily fights and altercations, favorites are picked among the patients here, you rarely see the doctor or anyone for longer than one minute at a time if you're lucky, and they hold patients too long just to milk insurance. This place needs to be shut down.

Speaking on behalf of my fianc. Do not come here. Please. My fianc is a vet would was scared he may have tried to hurt himself and the VA transferred him here and it has been traumatizing from the start. They made him sign the consent forms under duress and thinking he could AMA himself once those papers were signed. They were being rude and yelling at him when he was asking questions about the forms. The patient advocate does not seem genuine or that he cares too much.Every time he calls me ( my fianc ) I can hear him shaking and how terrified he is to be there. Pleading to get him out.The staff is mistreating the patients they don t have previous experiences with. The doctor will only spend 2 minutes with patients and then leave. My fianc said this and the patient advocate also said this to me.I am trying to get him out but they re threatening to involuntary commit him if he attempts to AMA.This place will be the reason he never reaches out for help again and I m terrified of what will happen next time he needs help I kept being told it would only be 48hrs then it was 72, now it s 7-14 days.Staff members keep changing stories about the phone situation. Either there are none, there s one so they have to share, or the phones aren t working to begin with. They lied to my fianc last night saying I could pick him up today at 7:30. I woke up to a call from him at 7:27 saying please for the love of god say you re on your way . I stood in that parking lot for two hours trying to do anything to get him out. Do not lie to patients that need help. Do not play favorite with patients when there s others. They also tried telling me that he threatened to hurt others and had a firearm on him when he had his bad thoughts. All lies.Find somewhere else. Do not come here. Please.

I originally came in for help w/ PTSD & depression. I stayed for 15 days, originally I was resistant to everything, but It takes time for the meds to work. They give free cigs for smokers. 4 smoke breaks a day ...most of the staff were great. The food was always yummy. The only complaint is that there are no activities AT ALL. Patients go from their bedroom to the dayroom w/ just the TV to watch but you can't hear it bc of so many ppl on the unit. Even holding group outside sometimes or having time to listen to music. Our group therapists Derrick & Lauren were great as well. Alex definitely runs a tight shift, so coming from experience....don't go back & forth w/ him or you'll lose. But he's fair, even when patients don't deserve it. I definitely want to give a major shout out to Rori, one of the techs. He's the type of person who works hard but will still take the time to help ANY patient. Out of all the techs Rori was A1 consistently.Main tip is don't go in there expecting to just be fixed in a day or two. Be mindful of the rules, they are there for your safety as well as other people.
