About Community Bridges – Healthcare for the Homeless

Community Bridges Inc. (CBI), located in Phoenix, Arizona, is an addiction treatment program that offers teens and adults inpatient medical detox for drugs or alcohol, medication assisted treatment (MAT), inpatient and outpatient programs, residential treatment, and dual diagnosis care. CBI focuses on an integrated approach to recovery to help ensure long term success. Community Bridges Inc. also offers specialized programs for veterans, women, and those with serious mental health issues.

The first step of treatment at CBI is detoxification. The clinic uses medical protocols to help participants reduce and then eliminate the amount of drugs in their system in a safe, medically supervised setting.

Inpatient or residential treatment is led by medical and psychological professionals as well as peer navigators who are also in recovery. Participants receive individualized behavioral therapy in individual and group settings, as well as family counseling, recovery focused life skills training, help with coping mechanisms, and relapse prevention services. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available for clients in alcohol and/or opioid recovery.

Community Bridges, Inc. outpatient care is also integrated so that it addresses mental, physical, and emotional needs. The outpatient program includes individual and group therapy, relapse prevention and life skills training, connection with support services, and MAT if needed.

CBI accepts private insurance plans such as Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, Cigna, Ambetter, Beacon, and more. Be sure to contact your insurer to review your coverage, including out of network benefits. Payment assistance is available.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Originally got involuntarily tranferred from the Chandler location to the phx location, from the moment I set foot in that place I knew something was up. Dirty facility, bad food, and horrible staff. The people in charge of getting your meds don t have a clue what to even give you. I finally had enough with the poor service when I called authorities on them while there. My own family had to go to court to get me to be released from this place. Not sure what exactly it is that they do but it s very dark energy there, BEWARE!

Going to this place was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. First of all they didn't tell us exactly where they were taking us, and keep in mind I've never done hard drugs in my life the worst thing I've ever done is marijuana I don't even drink. They put us in a Patty wagon with only a small screen to even look out and you couldn't even tell where you were going it was like being in a horror movie. Then when we got to the facility there was a bunch of men who look like they've been lobotomized sitting around in Green scrubs, while in the background some woman came to the front desk holding a human organ bag. From the reviews on here and everything I'd seen I would just stay the heck away from this place they're definitely doing something dark.

Got back from this awful place about an hour ago. Where do I start? This place takes in ANYONE. A homeless man came in and I believe he comes in A LOT. As he was changing into his scrubs, one of the employees went through his wallet and started counting his money! WHAT? They ran out of sandwiches at one point and couldn t even supply a clean blanket for a man. I went in for detox thinking I d be there for for 3-5 days. I was discharged after 10 hours because I didn t show proper withdrawal symptoms! Absolutely disgusting. And the language some of these employees used was so unprofessional. How and why they re still operating is mind boggling.
