About Cleveland House

Cleveland House is a sober living resort and halfway house located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They are one of the leading providers of sober living in the area and offer an environment between an addiction recovery center and community living.

This includes an affordable sober living option with a 12-step program and a supportive and positive environment so you can stay sober and learn how to have fun without substances.

Their mission is to help people who are addicted to alcohol and recreational and prescription drugs receive full support. The sober living home operates as a bridge between an inpatient facility and transitioning back into the community.

Living in a sober living home offers you the chance to adjust to life outside of a highly structured inpatient environment with people who understand the struggle you’re going through. This can make the difference between relapse and staying sober. They provide high-speed internet, 24-hour access to computers, a suburban location and a clean environment free from alcohol and drugs.

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
