This might be a great center for many things but benzos are not one of them. I now know most Doctors are uneducated in proper taper and possible outcomes and symptoms with benzos (see the benzodiazipine Information Coalition benzoinfo.com) but I trusted that the doctor here would at minimum do a proper conversion rate seeing how they hold the responsibility of prescription authority. I am now dealing with a BIND - Benzo Induced Neurologic Dysfunction injury due to putting my faith in a PA here at this facility. When I tried to convey my experience I was treated as if I was lying and gas lit through one of the most difficult experiences a person can endure putting me in very real danger and now at risk for a long term injury. In my current situation if I could give this facility a negative star rating I would on knowledge, handling of a taper, giving improper poly-drugging prescriptions with psych meds, and treatment as a human being with compassion and respect. I didn't realize walking in there I was at risk for ending up like I am now over a year later or could potentially have the severity of any of the symptoms I did/do have for as long as I have I was not warned because she did not even know and accused me of making it up. I am now non -functional having to do a liquid micro taper to minimize the risk of long term damage/ CNS injury caused by a mishandled taper from this location but the doctor should have known! If they don't know they should not be handling benzo patients. That's their job. This facility is supposed to be the gold standard for drugs that should include properly understanding drugs. Maybe for other drugs it is but if your dealing with benzos DO NOT go here. It's not recommended to go to a detox facility for benzos but I didn't know that.. that is definitely an accurate narrative. I would refer people on benzos to the link I shared above to find a benzo literate and co-operative provider to assist you with getting off benzos to avoid the unimaginable harm I've endured. Black market or prescription doesn't matter it's the same effects you need people who know what they are doing. This facility of all places should be educated immediately on black market analog benzos so no one else walks through these doors and ends up like me. Definitely whatever you do don't check into rapid detox which she actually had suggested unbelievably and I would highly emphasize staying away from this place in general. If benzos aren't your issue it might be fine idk. But I deeply regret stepping foot in this place and have lost and suffered a tremendous amount I didn't have to because of the lack of knowledge, care and extremely poor treatment even degrading accusations by my provider here. Much better off going to a Front Range clinic at a minimum. Benzos are tricky but this was an inexcusable fumble that could have cost me my life.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. Medically managed detoxification is an important first step in recovery from addiction. Their experienced, caring professional medical staff in CeDAR’s Assessment Detox Unit (ADU) understand how challenging this first step may be for patients. With compassion, respect and dignity, their staff helps each patient move through this experience safely and as comforablly as possible.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients engaged in a rehab aftercare program have completed active addiction treatment and are receiving services designed to promote their sustained sobriety. Drug rehab aftercare typically encompasses a wide variety of medical, mental health, and social services meant to facilitate clients' reintegration into their home, workplace, and community. Clients typically collaborate with their case manager and/or recovery team to identify and access the services they need, often including peer coaching, career counseling, and care referrals.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
For those that don't require round-the-clock care, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term option that can be used as a step-down treatment or as an alternative to intensive hospitalization. PHP treatment requires up to 5 days a week of commitment where you'll receive 6 to 8 hours of support every day. While a partial hospitalization program typically requires a commute, telehealth may be available. PHP treatment costs can vary but are often covered by most insurance.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Professional services are often necessary to recover from addiction. Drug rehab in Colorado provides the expert services needed to address the complex issues of addiction and help individuals start their recovery journey.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

The main principle of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in Colorado is that substance use disorders are based on faulty thinking and behavior patterns. The goal of this treatment is to help the individual learn better ways of coping with challenges, which will lead to changes in thinking and behavior.

Dialectical behavior therapy is skills based and present oriented. You'll be asked to keep a diary of emotions and related behaviors and practice the skills you've been learning between sessions. The focus of skills development is on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Therapists who employ motivational interview techniques seek to draw out the client's ideas about change and allow them to draw their own conclusions about the need for change. This method is often effective for clients who feel unsure about their ability to change or the need for change.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation. The week-long program helps family members learn about addiction, how to care for themselves, and how to support the person they love through the recovery process. In fact, research shows participation in our addiction family support program helps increase overall recovery rates.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

My brother is fighting stage 4 cancer and is an alcoholic. I have never er seen how hard ut is to get someone in a rehab! I have called many places and no return call or they just don't care. My brother in in the outpatient and been seen by a doctor here but to get them to do an admission into inpatient there's no help. I have left messages and it can take up to three days to get a call back. When they do call he's been in a doctor appointment and they want him to call back and it starts all over again. Out system to help addicts is so bad and no companion. It just seems it's about the money and the person don't matter.

I just graduated the CeDAR program this past Thursday and I was there for 45 days. I must say that this program and facility saved my life and gave me lifelong friends. The staff is exceptional with incredible counselors and do tors on site to aid in recovery. My counselor helped me get into sober living and I genuinely enjoyed all the classes and lectures. It felt like being I school again but with a firmer drive to succeed than I had in college. But the people are what made the difference. My cottage became family and we had genuine fun together everyday. The staff keeps you super busy and helps you form a sense of routine again, something most of us in addiction lack before beginning recovery. The food was incredible as well. Brian the head chef along with Katie, Megan, Letty and Ms. Ranetta fed us delicious meals 3 times a day and kept the cottage pantry stocked. The campus is simply beautiful and is a true haven. It is a truly a place where you can actually recover and not be treated like an addict. The gym and lecture halls are great spaces and I actually wish I could have spent more time there.I cannot recommend going to cedar enough and the admission process is so seamless and only took about an hour to an hour and a half. Anyone who has tried other treatment centers without luck or looking to seek treatment for the first time should look no further. If you put in the work and effort and show up to classes - you will be rewarded and get the most out of the program. I'm so proud to now be in the alumni program that Brooke runs and cannot wait to return for open meetings.CeDAR - thank you so so much, love you guys xoxo

Karli is my doctor there before and after my transplant. I have horrible pain and the nerve block doctor at UCH found pockets of nerve ending entangled between scar tissue. Karli is very personable, friendly, professional, and she truly seems to care about me. She is attentive and she has worked hard to create a regimen that works for me to help with chronic pain. I'm very happy that UCHealth set me up with CeDAR while I was in horrible pain waiting for surgery for months. Before and after the actual surgery, she has been there for me.The only thing that is negative is I think they need more help as my doctor is always slammed with work. I am happy to say that she always gets back to me is I message her with updates or having trouble sticking to the script when I'm in additional pain. She works closely with my transplant doctors to ensure I'm getting the proper treatment and they are all on the same page with my health, biopsies, high enzymes, etc and they love working with her since she really is that good.If you are struggling with addiction or you have a condition that leaves you in chronic pain, I recommend CeDAR 100%.

The counselors (ken /Pam /Brian ) are very helpful and considerate and thoughtful. THE STAFF IS ON BORDERLINE HARASSMENT ON THE OTHER HAND. Using a incarceration style form of authority. With the advertisement for cedar pushing fellowship in a co ed facility and at the same time telling my fellow peer to stay away from me. Demonizing me as a person and not knowing anything about me. Putting me in a place between making a choice between wanting to stay for my health or leaving ,to not having deal with being labeled and stereotyped by the staff. Staff being rude I ll tempered and immature. we are all here to get better you can t be best friends with just anybody in recovery . Staff has ruined my experience here.
