I had a terrible experience with this greedy money making scam that they call a program. Miles quote " asked why I needed food stamps if my parents are rich" they also have terrible staff members named Jodi and Nate who packed up my stuff and stole items from me . They will try to get you to go to a program they get referrals from called the edge and the forge don't go its a trap. If your brain is dead its a perfect program for you!!

We try our best to provide the highest level of care for all our patients. However we know we cant meet everyones expectations. Our staff are good caring people that would never steal from our patients nor would they say things as you have stated in your review. You also mention an outpatient facility that we recommend that you toured that you originally said yes you would like to transfer there, to then deciding not to with no reason. We respect each individual person to make their own decision and change their mind, however, its not necessary to bash or miss represent the facts. This is hurtful and harmful for everyone. I just want to thank you for all that you have done for me I came in there hopeless wreckles I was at the bottom I broke my neck I realized I needed help so I opened up carried me on a journey that is unbelievable it's happy freedom you know you're like my family now I just want to thank you for everything it was a blast it happened so fast the therapy sessions are very great the groups are you're great staff gave me a home gave me food you know help me around when I didn't have nothing to help me become the man I am today without you I couldn't have done it Ialways thought I'd never change until I got to your programthank you so much I will be sure to tell everyone about your program I have a lot of people done here that need help I love y'all it was so much good vibes gratitude and just to much to explain they have every thing for any kind of problem mental health IOP PHP residential I mean they take care of us like we are kings I'm already wanting to come back it was the most favorite thing in my life

My sons have both been thru many programs. This program was very different and beyond amazing compared to others. Victoria Latino was able to bring my son in from the streets which I was unable to for 3 years. She persisted and spoke with him for days and with her expertise and loving way got him in. I highly recommend this program and will forever be grateful for the staff

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Medically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. My sister stayed here for 7 months to treat her BPD and Bipolar. What has dissapointed me about this place was the communication from management. About two months in , I was informed my sister HAD to move to their sober house because she was determined to be stable by their ceo where she would be responsible for paying rent of $1000. I was not informed that this would be the next step prior to her starting the program nor given more than a couple days notice of this decision. The reason my sister ended up leaving is because she fainted from her medications and had to be taken to the hospital. When she came back to the sober house, we were told she had to leave because she was considered a liability . No other explanation given . My sister was not violent nor suicidal at that point and she was forced to vacate that night or go to the mental health hospital. Overall we felt that the management made decisions that furthered their financial gain and that they were not equipped to manage severe mental health disorders. In addition, since my sister left early , we would have liked our money back for the remaining month s rent but Jason, the CEO, has not answered any of our calls. For a facility that is suppose to be trauma informed, all they did is impart more trauma and feelings of neglect.

Fernanda, I'm sorry to hear you feel we didn't help your sister. I personally took time to work with your sister and the team as a whole tried very hard to keep her on track with her medication, however, we can't force medication on our patients, we are a voluntary facility. In addition, we did finally have to ask your sister to be discharged and we suggested a higher level of care but she denied that care. We are not equipped to handle medical issues at the level your sister was experiencing. California Care truly cares about our patients and staff and it would have been unfair to your sister and the staff to keep her under the circumstances. I have personally talked with you about your sister and we had agreed on all issues and I always called back and accepted calls. I would like to conclude with housing. When a patient transitions to outpatient they need to live outside in a transition house and that has $1000 monthly charge, however, your sister was scholarshiped her first 6 weeks then given a discount to $800 to help financially. When your sister was discharged your father had paid $800 the week before for the next month. He did text me one time asking for a prorated refund, however, I was in surgery when that text came to my phone and was unable to respond. I apologize for the uncontrollable circumstance. I did in fact have Holly contact your father and let him know I was in the hospital and that we would refund him. This refund was made to your father and he was very understanding and grateful. I understand it is difficult wanting to help a loved one, and we truly want to help as many people as we can. We wish you and your family health and wellness

My experience here was extremely beneficial to my mental health recovery . Due to the dedicated staff, I was able to learn a lot about myself and what steps I could take towards recovery. The techs Summer, Nick,Nikki, Ruth , and K were so helpful in making the clients feel safe, comfortable and cared about. Vershante leads great groups and is very flexible depending on what the clients need that day. Rupa is a great individual therapist who spreads positivity and is able to connect with her patients on a deep ,emotional level.

I found the encouragement my life needed at California Care. I stayed in their comfortable caring home setting for two months, getting into a routine of practicing daily life again and social skills. I underwent group, individual, and couple's therapy. They guided me to manage through past traumas, gain focus on priorities, and established initiative I haven't had for years. The staff is very outgoing with great insight for meeting our personal needs. Thank you! I'm back on track, and you saved my marriage! It is wonderful to be engaged in life again.

California Care treated me with love and kindness from the very beginning and made me feel a part of there family.. Holly is a rock star , Myles picked me up like super quick. I was coming off Fentanyl and the nurses took great care of me and made sure I was as comfortable as possible until I was able to program.. The Mental Health Residence is a nice, comfortable place. Great staff and mental health professionals. I stayed 25 days and it changed my life. The quiet, reflective times combined with group and individual therapy was a great balance. The gym with a personal trainer was the cherry on top.

This is truly the only residential treatment center that I actually felt a part of the family and I've been to over 10 places. They made me feel welcome from the start and the staff is loving and caring. I couldn't ask for a better experience and I would give it a chance if you want to stay sober. This is the best place to be if you really want this. Peace & love<3
