About Beneficial Behavioral Health Services

Beneficial Behavioral Health Services specializes in comprehensive drug and alcohol treatment as well as evaluations. They're out in Omaha, Nebraska. Group and individual therapy are provided through a dual-diagnosis approach to address mental health issues and improve treatment outcomes.

They carry out extensive assessments using standards set by the Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory to determine the proper degree of care for substance use disorders. These assessments follow court mandated drug use guidelines guaranteeing a solid basis for treatment suggestions.

They provide affordable high-quality drug and alcohol testing in addition to treatment and evaluations. These tests are available to anyone, including employers, parents, and students. Testing can be done at their offices or in the comfort of your own home using modern technology that detects the presence of drugs. When necessary same-day testing and results are provided for rapid turnaround lab results.

They treat their clients with dignity and respect acknowledging the significance of family dynamics and respecting their individual viewpoints, values, and beliefs. They want to support and uplift families as they navigate the process of healing by offering vital resources and aid. That’s why their programs are also available for native Spanish speakers as well as in English.

They do more than just address substance misuse. They also have additional programs to help those impacted by domestic violence and family trauma. These can result from drug abuse or other mental and behavioral health conditions. That way, you can find a healthier way to cope with frustrations and emotions that are more constructive.

Company lacks leadership and organization especially during new hire training. They seem to need people so bad they skip most of the necessary training needed to actually understand the job and rush through orientation. Also you don't get paid what you are told you are getting hired at, half the job is paperwork and you only get payed at 12 hourly for this portion of the job. The milage reimbursement system is extremely flawed. There is no direct deposit so you have to wait for a physical check and pick it up at the office. Most times the paycheck won't be ready till late in the afternoon. People here are nice but they lack a leader in my opinion.

Thank you for your commits. Our training methods, materials and standards are reviewed by the State of Nebraska on an annual basis and are updated accordingly. Both direct (with clients) and indirect (paperwork) pay are discussed during the interviewing process and during the orientation. The ratio of direct pay to indirect pay is 90% (direct) to 10% (indirect). Milage payments are expense reimbursements. During our studies of our employee's actual expense, what we are paying for mileage is in excess of employee actual expenses. As for the way employees record mileage, the State of Nebraska sets the means of reporting. According to our policy manual, paychecks will be available by 3pm on pay days.

Accepted Insurance

Beneficial Behavioral Health Services works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

We are sorry that you feel that way. We see that you work for us for a few months back in the year 2016. We have made many positive changes to the company over the years based on employee and customer feedback.

I would like to start of by saying that I worked for BBHS for a month and within that month, the offered me money to put a positive review on Google. There was a lot that this company has done while I was working for them, while, I don't think I should say on a Google review, I believe that they should do better.

Response from the owner3 years ago
We are sorry to hear that your experience with the company did not meet your expectations. Your former Supervisor has been contacted to understand what grievances you had. She said that you had not reported any issues or concerns to her. I would encourage you to communicate with her and let her know any issues or concerns you had during your brief employment with us. We would like to be able to address any such issues or concerns to improve our systems, services and employee satisfaction. Thank you.

BBHS has been nothing less than a joy to work with. I get paid a competitive rate and mileage. The supervisors are so helpful in working with my schedule. The families I work with are phenomenal people who work endlessly on their goals. Couldn t be more proud to be part of this company!

Very inconvenient place of employment. You have to drive to the office to submit your billing, get your referrals, get more car seats etc. As if the driving all over town wasn't enough already. I've spent more money on gas then I will receive in a paycheck... which I haven't received as of yet and began on June 7th. Communication has also been off and then wrong information on the paperwork which is upsetting the clients. In a nutshell they just need a better system and need to do better for their employees.

I have worked for this company for over five years. After reading some of the other reviews and I am baffled.I have never had any problem with my pay. The company provides a list of paydays at the beginning of the year and has honored those dates every year with no issues. My communication with my supervisor has been excellent. I am expected to preform the duties I was hired for, my supervisors are there to support me and provide me with the necessary tools for success.Working for this company you will earn your pay, but you ARE given all the support needed to be successful.

Take a look at the reviews, and you will see that they are left by employees being paid to support the company. As a foster parent, I can tell you that Beneficial is very difficult to work with and extremely poor at communication. You get 24 hours notice of a schedule change. Even McDonalds is better than that.

Response from the owner3 years ago
Beneficial Behavioral Health does weekly scheduling to accommodate clients with weekly schedule changes due to fluctuations in work schedules. Schedules are confirmed for the week on Mondays. Feel free to contact BBHS management with any further questions.
