About BAART Programs Salt Lake City

Just eight miles from Salt Lake City, Murray, Utah is a small city and a huge sports hub. It’s also home to BAART Programs Salt Lake City. This specialized outpatient center offers opioid addiction services for adults. You can self-pay for treatment or use most major insurers, Medicaid or Medicare. They even provide transportation for eligible Medicaid plans.

Whether you’re struggling with prescription medications, heroin, fentanyl or other opioids, they strive to meet you where you are in recovery. You can access a customized treatment plan that highlights your goals.

Their program uses medication assisted treatment with methadone or buprenorphine. These medications can help you manage withdrawal symptoms and cravings associated with quitting opioids. They complement care with group and individual counseling as well as specialized services to meet your unique needs.

For me, their coordinated pregnancy services really stood out. Battling addiction while pregnant can pose several challenges for you and your baby. They coordinate with your providers to ensure you can access healthcare, essential resources, and social services to improve your situation. You’ll benefit from unwavering support and encouragement to overcome addiction and create a brighter future for you and your family.

Another great feature that caught my eye was their guest medication services. If you’re receiving treatment from one of their affiliated locations then you can stop in and get your medication at any nationwide center. That means you’ll always have access to your medication, whether moving or traveling.

Lastly, their case management services are great. You can access connections to vital resources, discharge planning, and more. They strive to help you improve your overall wellness and leave treatment with a set plan to sustain recovery.

Accepted Insurance

BAART Programs Salt Lake City works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you enter a drug rehab in Utah, the process usually involves four stages: treatment initiation, early abstinence, maintaining abstinence, and advanced recovery. Treatment methods can rely on medications, counseling, or both, in either an outpatient or inpatient setting.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Accreditations

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Established in 1992 by congress, SAMHSA's mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on American's communities.

Very chaotic clinic. With the exception of a few, most of their staff tend to come across rude, judgemental, and lacking knowledge when it comes to substance abuse disorder. In fact, one nurse actually told me she is only working there because she "HAS TO in order to finish her schooling", and as soon as that's finished she would be "quitting to work anywhere else!" Why on earth would she tell a patient this?!?! Absolute craziness!I'll definitely be sticking to the clinic in Taylorsville.

Be sure you are ready to UA because if you can't they will turn you away and you will have to suffer for 24 hours! I ended up relapsing because I couldn't UA before they closed!

Stay far away from this place. All they care about is money!!!! They treat you like crap and the staff acts like they re above you because you re an addict. The majority of them especially the higher ups act like they re god. And the staff changes almost monthly. Definitely a sign of how a place is ran if they can t keep employees. I wouldn t give them any stars except for Alma she was one of the only people who cared. And treated you with respect. I would give her 5 stars but then the clinic would take all the credit. Which they don t deserve. Trudy was great also but she wasn t there consistently. She tried to help which I appreciated. The old director Debbie was terrible!! Saw her 1 time in 6 years. And the new director sits in his office and glares at you while waiting in line. No personal skills at all. Again acting as if they re all better than us. A couple of the nurses were great but watch out for Tonya she s the worst. She acts like she s above God and will treat you like dirt.If you do go here or decide to go here. Keep all your receipts and I would ask them constantly about your account balance . Because out of the blue they will tell you that you owe them money. And not a small amount either. I was told I owed thousands of dollars and no one could explain how I owed the money just that I owed it and had to pay it. And of course it wasn t their fault I wasn t told about this until it got that high because again they re above all of us addicts. And they would be happy to set me up on a payment plan. No thanks.I will take the $1000 a month they were getting paid between my insurance and my copay somewhere else.So be aware of you re account if you go there. And plan on staff changes constantly.

I follow rules and came to this clinic with knowing I could get through this and after going for over a year... (notes saying be nice to overworked staff posted) (isnt it part time?) which if you do what you are supose to they always come back at you and tell you that you actually havent cause of this rule (that no one was ever told) and it's like they think it's fun to keep you there and make you spend more time than you planned cause you should already have completely everything but last min they finally tell you something that they should of at the start... Some of us work and not knowing if the line is going to take 2 mins or over an hr is hard enough but then to think you are done with your counseling hours cause you did exactly what you were told then to find out after them saying write down your time and it will be added to your time to find out if its 14 mins or less its not counted only if its 15 and over does it count.I met with the doctor and he really made me decide that i could get clean tests and so i was doing my best one week down and then i miss the Saturday which i was so sick i just couldnt get out of bed and to make it clean through the weekend then to have my other medical issues be in the way where i went to the hospital instead just to be told i owe for the visit after i tried to reschedule two different times and was told i was good or i didn't have one right now to make. Or writing in for night group 2 times in a row and not having them show up so the 2 hrs of time you planned just dont count but if you miss they charge you money but they waste your time and it just is what it is. There are so many things staff does and the actions hurt the business clients and overall environment. To hear staff bad talking the people who are there to get clean and then talk down to and show favoritism just is so unprofessional and not what people go for. I could go on and on but i understand its hard to hire a professional team when there is no one holding staff to any level of of respect or professionalism. A few things could make everything so much better but giving all staff to much power just isnt one of themAnd I'll leave it at that and keep the rest of it to myself.
